Talked to Adam and got permission to record his full set while playing a show in my town. Hes one of my favorite drummers and this video shows why Texas In July - Magnolia Drum Cam
9 years has passed, and this is STILL the meanest I've ever seen anyone play. The amount of musicality, intent, and showmanship is unmatched. This hypes me up everyday. Because I watch it everyday. No shame.
Still here 11 years later. This video is still to this day, for me, the most iconic drum related video. I watch it probably 10-15 times a year! Long live Texas In July & Adam Gray🔥
Vocalist and guitarist quit after they released their best album. It was at a peak moment. They definitely recovered though and and have released great music every release
I told adam I wanted his drumsticks after the show in Atlanta warped tour in 2013.. And after the show he came down and gave me his sticks and signed them!!!
is it normal to watch this 20 times a day i just can't get enough of this band, song, and Adams amazing drumming. thumbs up for this awesome video and band.
When you wait for Adam to destroy his right crash cymbal on 3.42, but the camera guy want to see his mate diging a hole on the dancefloor with his headbanger head... This band was so heavy!
Dudes definitely a clapper! Love the part where he takes his hat off to headbang and realizes his hair isn't long enough and puts the hat right back on and plays his air guitar with one hand strumming and his other doing nothing......shits just not working for this dude that night! lmao!
This drum kit is old as fuck but I’d still take it too this day! Man good ol days. I wonder if this was his truth kit or that other brand that him and like holland where holding down for a while
Adam Gray is amazing and extremely captivating to watch. Their Bassist, Ben, is absolutely crazy though haha. Only that guy can somehow unplug a wireless.
every time I see this video I am immediately drawn to the comment section to leave a comment on how incredible this guys chops are. honestly one of the best metalcore dummers out there. all this luke holland and shit are only popular because they cover pop tracks on purpose which gives them more exposure, these guys are OG and stick to stuff that matters to them
Watch his left hand at 0:40. those are ghost snares. He is lightly hiting the snare at a fast rate but then plays the normal 4/4 snare hit. It just something he adds to songs live so he doesnt get bored, the crowd cant even here it
All of them would deserve more attantion than they actually have now. They are amazing. I think they are not human beings, they music-wizards of an other race.
Its like the Chad Szeliga stick trick, but backwards, somehow i managed to do it haha. The way i learn how he did the trick is that i pause the video when he gets ready to do it or i stop it during the trick so i can see how the hand kinda looks. Anyway i hope this works man :D
