Lawyers are reluctant to give certain legal advice, but I saw one in a video make it clear that, if it is your home, and someone is there without your permission, you have the right to enter YOUR home. Once inside, you have the right to defend yourself from intruders by any means necessary.

TEXAS, and EVERY other Governor must immediately do the same as Florida with their new signed Bill to abolish criminal trespassers/squatters. We had to deal with this nightmare when we were trying to sell our house, they immediately cut us off and stopped paying, had to deal with so much headache trying to get them out.

From what I understand of Texas law that man is a trespasser, not a squatter. And homeowners there have the right to use lethal force to protect their property, with full protection from both criminal and civil prosecution. In other words, that "squatter" is only alive because of the patience of the homeowner.

This is so stupid that the homeowner has to prove they did not rental out the house and have to hire an attorney to start the eviction process to regain possession of their own property. Squatters should have no rights. It's out of control because the system have given the squatters the power.

This just happened to my Aunt at her small lake house. The young lady she let stay temporarily would not leave and invoked "squatters rights". Smoking weed, and having people hiding there. When the cops failed her, shee decided that she would have 10 of her "big smelly, wild biker friends" to be her new room mates! She said "they don't mess around and they party late into the night! Good Luck! They'll be moving in tomorrow." The girl left later that day!😂

They are violaters and trespassers. They are stealing ,and that's happening to my family right now. This renter of ours his lease is over due to we need to remodel and he doesn't leave nor pays . Now he is bringing in several unknown people with him and their dogs. We told him to please leave and gave him 1 month he kept saying no and now it's been 5 months since he's been here no rent and we even went to the court to get a proper eviction notice and even the court messed up here. We payed and they gave us the wrong precinct and the lady judge said we can't get a refund and now we have to do it allover again. This is here in Texas. Now he harassed us and thinks he has rights and says he won't leave until we get the law to move him out. Then the judge even had the nerve to say he is reasoned to live there till you make another eviction notice with the law and pay again. This is wrong. He even has men screaming their going to f things up while our child is playing out in the back. He's a drug addict and even admits it. We told him sorry but that's not important ,our family is. He's not ,he even went as far to accuse my husband that he was having an affair with his ex who was on the lease and he threw her out 2 years ago without our permission. He accused her of sleeping with all the men around our neighborhood. She's now traumatized and I think it's annoying we even called the police on him because he threatened our brother last month when we tried telling him it's time to go live in another place and he said to leave him alone or he will f him up. We called police and she says sorry there's nothing we can do and we have to take it to court and pay additional money ,we did and like I said they gave us wrong precinct!! They the law did and we asked for a refund and they said no!! This law is either hiring crooked people and there getting away with murder. This is sad and unconstitutional. Texas used to be strong ,we looked out for each other not anymore. This is a nightmare come to life. No respect. I hope that the Texas law will.pass a bill to. not give trespassassers rightz they shoukd call them wrongs
