I literally asked the store if they can review the cameras to see the person who put the credit card scammer device over the authentic one then they refuse to even show me anything. Made a affidavit with Wells Fargo literally the next 48 hours I got all my money back because they got law enforcement involved and they found out who did it it was a store manager. @@thebee9907 works like this for the banks i've used. transaction is "pending" until the claimant claims the funds. This period is usually less than 30 mins. scammers use scam accounts, they pull the money out few times a day or at least once a day. that's the whole idea, by the time victims realize they got scammed .. money is already gone. some banks might give it back out of courtesy, but scammers also get the money. so don't talk if you know nothing, maybe in USA it works like this, but not in EU.

And businesses have less money to lose via theft either at the place of business or when depositing at the bank. Actually the store isn’t on it. We actually had training on this when I worked at Victoria secret last year. They’ve caught a couple people doing it and whenever you aren’t watching or have your head turned from the Moneris machine, they install it. It is VERY quick and literally takes 2 seconds to put. We got trained to check the moneris machines frequently but trust me that it DOES happen and most employers aren’t aware The way you can tell is that the extra keypad is BULKY so youll be able to see a different. How much did the bank and 7-11 pay her for her time considering she was doing their jobs? You guessed it zero. The employees from both companies MADE MONEY while they investigated her claim. They honestly have no incentive to do the right thing. They have been lying for decades about the security of their system and simply put the onus on their customers.

TRUE! Who knows how much money she saved those companies in investigation time, and money that others would have lost due to fraud. Thet DEFINITELY should break her of a little something.

She's lucky she got anything back at all. The banks typically don't lose anything; some time. They only supply the card with her stored account number on the card. 7-11 has a card processor they deal with; typically First Data. First Data gets a notice from her bank about fraudulent charges, so they reimburse the bank, who puts the money back into her account. First Data doesn't want to lose money, so they charge her losses back to 7-11. So yeah, the bank didn't pay her anything, but 7-11 paid only what she had lost; excluding her time. This is one of the reasons they came out with the EMV (Europay, Mastercard, and Visa) chips on the cards. EBT cards typically don't have EMV chips, so it's easier to scam those people with the setup that was shown in the video.

That’s why you always use a spare card with a pre paid account that you top up whenever you want. For online purchases and for in store ones. Never use your main account card anywhere.

Those people in 7 eleven knew that skimmer was there...no one just walks into a store and just puts a skimmer there in ten seconds 😒 I'm glad she caught it

It came off in like 1 second, I am sure they got it on in just a few. What do you think 7-11 employees expert security forces with trained mission readiness to find a card skimmer in the works? All it would take is someone else in the store to go, "Hey, can you help me with this, it's not working." Person at the front desk goes, "Huh, uh?" Other person slips it on. Not saying that an employee couldn't be in on it, would make the operation easier but there is also a risk because then the employee will be looked into as well as associates, better to be random but then again criminals don't think to hard sometimes.

Actually that's _exactly_ how they get there... someone walks into the store, while an employee isn't at the register. They just pull it out of a purse or so, and slip it right on. Takes 5 seconds. But yes, I agree that it is very likely that one of the 7-11 employees is a potential suspect.

its a 7/11... they were probably the ones who put the skimmer on in the first place 😅

There has to be security cameras in that store recording the register. It’s a inside job by the employee there.

There is another video where a man pulled one off and the employee behind the counter dipped out. Inside jobs.
