TF2's Summer Sized Update 

EDIT: I dont think sulfur is awful or anything I just think it's confusing and could be better designed. I just havent had many good games of it and haven't found myself or any one else really getting into it. I might be wrong though, it's brand new and in a couple months once people learn how it works games might start getting alot better

this is my first time experiencing an *actual* update for tf2 and i've been having an absolute BLAST

the side control points in sulfur are like bonus objectives and if you cap all 3 you instantly win when you cap middle.

I kind of find it weird that so many people seem to be confused by Sulfur since whenever I play a game everyone in the server has no problems understanding how it works.

Honestly, I haven't had this much fun since Jungle Inferno. Might be a "holiday-sized" update but god damn it's good!

Ah, finally someone that actually makes a sensible comment on the Warpaints. Warborn looks solid (bit better on blu than red, even if the colors blend together a bit much on blu) and Steel Brushed is okay (varies a bit on the weapon, but what paint doesn't) but the rest are just varying flavors of mediocre. The cosmetics are generally bit mid but there's some really solid options like the new soldier MGS hat, spy coat, or heavy hair/beard/glasses.

I respect your opinion, but I honestly really disagree on Sulfur, to the point where it's among my favorite maps in this update. It may not be initially obvious, but point D works like a King of the Hill control point, switching from RED's timer to BLU's when capped, which makes it so that BLU can still win if they don't cap all points. That coupled with the fact that D gets progressively harder to cap as more of RED's points are capped adds a really fun twist to the gameplay of the map. I also find the signs to be pretty helpful and understandable. I always get where I want to when I follow them. Sulfur may not be the most intuitive map at first, but once you do understand its depth, it's easily one of the most enjoyable and unique maps in the game. It has a lot of fun and depth behind its looks.

sulfur works by having 2 timers, red teams timer starts first, but if the blue team caps the last one their timer ticks down and red stops, then red has to recapture it, the other control points just subtract time from the timer of the team that caped it

in my opinion, the new warpaints are some of the best we've had in YEARS. it easily beats the shitty neon coloured dogshit or mediocre christmas themed dogshit that only makes sense to use one month a year. i didnt think you would gloss over it so fast.

I don't get how people don't see this update as major. 10 maps is the largest ever in an update, a new game mode that has been optimized and given new features for a modern day, new voice lines for the mercs (granted, new voice actor, but still new lines), genuinely great skins and hats, and even valve giving us consistent updates and fixes over the week with actual advertisement for TF2. I get it, a few more weapons or fixes would be cool, but calling this update anything other than a major update just feels... Petty.

Guys what if for saxton hale they added a fix that replaced the fan voicelines with real voice lines. The fans just need to pay the voice actors to record them and give them to valve since valve doesnt want to do it

the mercs voicelines needs like little better but saxton and graymann voicelines are godtier

Complaining about Sulfur before you even learn how to play it, you sound like a F2P who's joined Steel for the first time and is crying about not knowing how it works. It's not the most straight-forward, but it really isn't that complicated. Just give it a bit for everyone to learn the map and it'll play pretty well. Plus the map maker is already rebalancing the times for each team based on player feedback.
