I rebuilt my th350 before i pulled it out it would go into reverse and drive but the low reverse was burnt to hell i replaced everything seals cluthces and steels replaced vaccum modulator and torque converter i installed it and it didnt do amything any ideas

Hi I have 57 Chevy with a Tremec T56. I have never been happy with the way it shifts since new. I now have an issue with pilot bearing I think. For a non LS engine go with the 700R4. Our Godfather level 3 is rated for 700 HP with a 1 year unlimited mile warranty. Converter up to a 2400 stall goes for $2195.00. Shipping to a commercial business is $125.00 or shipping to a residence or business on residential property is $225.00. You will also need the brackets and TV Cable, the 700R4 is a cable driven transmission.

I have an 89 700r4 I'm putting in my hot rod and want to put a polished aluminum flexplate cover. I know they make one for a TH350 and the trucks all came with aluminum covers. But the truck ones look different. Any idea's if the TH350 cover will fit?

I’m trying to fix my linkage to my 700r4 I can’t seem to adjust it right It will go into gear but then after that it just acts likes not going into any gears again. I’ll go down and adjust the rods that lead up to the trans shifter on the side like this one in the video with the pin in it and it will go into gear but then it won’t after I put in drive back to park

Coty Murphy, to switch to turbo 400, you will need a kick down switch either on the carb or gas pedal. If you select the gas pedal you will have to make one up if you don't change the computer chip. If you do swap out the chip, you will need to find one with a turbo 400 transmission. Your wire that feeds power to lock up converter is the same wire pin. With the correct chip this will be your kick down wire on your turbo 400. Don't try it with the 700r4 chip because the computer will put the 400 into passing gear. When, fuel injection turbo 400 transmissions were installed in 87 up trucks, they no longer have a kick down switch they were computer controlled. I had to research a lot of information on a friends 1990 454ss. Long story short wrong ECM chip. Had to get the truck tuned twice on the Dyno, and made my own kickdown attached to the gas pedal.. No toggle switch on the dash...

We can't wait for you to get it and put it in, you will be very happy it's worth the wait. The spline on a 400 is a 32 spline and a 700 is a 27 spline. You will need to get a new Yoke.

Question, have you ever done this conversion on a 1981 Corvette? My 81 Vette has the TH350 with computer controlled TC lockup. I will be removing it for rebuild however, if the 700R4 will 'easily' work and because it's a true 4-speed I would consider the swap. For my 81 Vette, I've heard there is an adapter-plate/transmount that allows usage of the same tail shaft, no crossmenber relocation and no driveshaft cutting. but I can't confirm or find out any further info. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Ray, I know they make a kit from a 700R4 to a TH350 but not the opposite way. Cut driveshaft 3 inches and modify the crossmember. It's really not too bad. We do it all the time. (SE-Pa) I did visit your website and like what you're doing, rebuilds and shop mods etc. I did a little more research and I'm reading, while the 700R4 is a 'stronger' transmission it also uses up some 25 horsepower vs my OE TH350. My 81 Vette is only rated at 190 HP, always babied, driven easy and because some $$$ mods would bee needed I just can't justify the added cost. My TH350 is only coming out because it has an internal leak...however being it's 23 years old with 130,000 miles I figured I would have it gone through. Sad to say, I don't trust any of my local shops and fear paying for a '$600 rebuild' and not actually getting it. I'll be taking the trans out myself. Thanks again, Ray

Hello boss man, the 700R4s have come a long way since 1982 when the first 700R4s were introduced. They are strong and reliable but I would not recommend more than 700HP on a 700R4.
