LOVE the video! My family and I are swapping a Th350 for a Th400 in a couple of weeks and I am trying to make sure we have everything in place for a smooth transition. I do have a couple of questions. How come some of your specs are in inch pounds and some are in foot pounds? Why not give them all in foot pounds? How do you convert from inch to foot? Or should we invest in an inch pound torque wrench?

Right on! Sounds like a fun family project. Great questions. ****Conversion**** 12 in-lb for every 1 ft-lb. 10 ft-lb is the same as 120 in-lb. 10 x 12 = 120 ****Why isn't everything in ft-lb?**** There's a couple of reasons. Here's the most important one... 1). Operating Ranges: I happen to own two (2) different ft-lb wrenches. One is a 3/8 drive, the other is a 1/2 drive. Both of them have different torque ranges. However, both of them will go as low as 10 ft-lb. If we convert 10 ft-lbs over to inch pounds, we know it's 120 in-lbs. The torque spec for some transmission oil pan gaskets are right around 55-70 in-lbs. In this instance, my ft-lb torque wrenches are "too big" for the job. If I decided to go ahead and use my "big" torque wrench to tighten the pan gasket bolts to 120 in-lb (versus 55-70 in-lb), chances are, damage would occur (pan gasket will split and/or pan bolt hole threads will strip). There's a number of other transmission components that are torqued to less than 120 in-lb. If you're wondering, I happen to own click-style torque wrenches...versus digital. I'm thrifty.....wife says I'm cheap. You may be able to "rent" a torque wrench...free of charge. Check with your local automotive parts house, about their rental programs (Advance, AutoZone, Oreilly's, NAPA). Should you decide to invest in one... I use a Craftsman click-style that's outfitted with a 3/8 drive. I like it, and would buy another one, if mine was lost/stolen. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to source one of those through Amazon. However, you may be able to find one elsewhere online. Rating: I have no working experience with any of those torque wrenches listed. So, it's hard for me to put them in an order. I will say that some in-lb wrenches come with a 3/8 drive, and some are equipped with a 1/4 drive. I personally like the 3/8 drive flavors. The ones I've used in the past, that were 1/4 drive, always had an adapter living on them (1/4 to 3/8 adapter). Best advice I can give, regarding the Amazon listings, is to read the reviews. They might have product review videos, too. Whatever you purchase, do what you can to make your investment last: 1). Always set the wrench to its lowest value, when not in use. 2). Don't use it to break bolts loose...only tighten with it. 3). Don't drop it. Note: All of these things help to maintain the tool's calibration. Hey Robert, I can't seem to find anything definitive on which way the trans fluid should run through the car radiator and why. Should it pump from the bottom of the radiator to the top or from the top down? I did see one comment in a car forum that mentioned pumping to the top so that gravity will help it return to the transmission and it's less pressure on the trans pump. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thank you sir.
