I just ordered a 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro. I have an A.R.E. cap for my 2018 Z71 Colorado and love it. But, when I get the Tacoma, I'm pretty sure this is the cap I'm going with. Additionally, I will be getting the Decked system. You have a sweet set up. Thanks for making this video and sharing it with us.

Glad you’re ok. The two tone setup is nice. Especially like the side window access options for quick gear retrieval. Setting up my SD for overlanding as well and this cap is near the top of the list. Exposed overlanding frame designs where all your gear is hanging out for everybody to see is not my speed, plus everything gets way dirtier faster so this is the way to go IMO as well. I have to admit, I can't stand the way campers look. Having said that, you have a reason and a vision for what you want out of that truck and the camper so I think it's cool. If I were to get a camper it would be like that one. Most badass one I've seen.

Ordered my A.R.E shell back in the beginning of Feb. right after receiving my new Silverado, and I just received it earlier this week (over 20 week wait) was told several times that it was being built and and that it would be shipped. Original time frame I was told was 10-12 weeks. After that just plan on getting the runaround. I even offered to drive up to Ohio and pick it up when they told me it was a shipping issue, only to find out that it hadn't been built and that it was just another line of BS they were coming up with. On a good note only 2 of the 4 windows leak....I like the function of the vented windoors but they leak pretty bad. Not looking forward to taking it the dealer, I'm sure they will make up some crap. Paid $3350.00. I recommend going with Leer (I have one on my Ram) it's been on for 12 years and have had NO issues. If I hadn't spent so mush I would take it off and use it for target practice then burn it to the ground. (With the so called fiberglass shortage) you can tell that the shell is much more flimsy than the older style. Have a nice day

Glad ya made it out of the woods that day try to look into adding some solar to it if your going to be going off grid a few days you will want to charge and stuff so a little solar can help with that and not idling your truck so you could stay out longer

Great Looking truck, I have a 2019 F250 same color as yours. I've been thinking about putting a camper shell on mine and after seeing yours, I think this is the one for me. I can sympathize with you and do understand just what you went through with your hunting accident. I am a avid bow hunter as well, 6 years ago while hunting in Kansas I had a very similar situation happen to me. After a morning hunt and seeing a huge buck just out of range, I decided to relocate my lock-on stand. I found the tree I wanted to use, started putting up my strap-on steps, was standing on top of the second step just hung the third step, pulling on it checking it to make sure it was secure when it came loose! The right toe of my boot hung on the back side of the step I was standing on as I fell which pivoted me head first down the tree. Like you I was in a hurry, I had my safety harness on but had not used my safety rope while climbing. I hit head first onto my fourth step that was laying at the base of the tree, put a 3 inch gash above my left eye across to just above my left ear. Shattered my right wrist in three places, probably hit a tree root I guess. It snapped my back so severe that it fractured the L1 thru L5 vertebrae wing tip as I hit the ground. I was only about 12 feet high at the time. I don't know about you, but I laid there a few minutes thinking, praying and hoping I was going to be able to move. Good new, I was able to get up, grab my bow and backpack and walk out about a mile back to my truck where my father and buddy was eating a sandwich, I had so much blood on me from my head, they thought it was deer blood and I was messing with them, which ended quickly to get me to the hospital. God is so good, he was with me the whole time and also with you. He will never forsake you or give you more than you can handle. God bless you brother and keep the faith.

I would love a new camper shell. They are around $3,000 when you put a few options on them so I just bought of $300 one that is like new and I can pimp it out myself on the cheap.

Pretty sure i've seen you on the F-Series overland page. I run a similar setup on my f150. Do you have any plans of a RTT? It's sooo nice having all that storage space with the tent up top.

Hey bro, I have an ARE z serious cap on my 2015 f350. I love it. Have the bed rug in there and bed rug liner on inside of cap. We spoke via email last week and told you I was deleting. Well, I did and man do I love it. Sound and performance are great and I don’t hate the 17.4 mpg I’m getting now around town.

I have the metallic gray Lariat and thinking about this shell but kinda worried about the look of it. It pops nice on the white but not sure about that dark gray
