Seems like keeping the hammer down is the ticket. Most of those trophy trucks didn't even care as long as they kept it somewhat straight and kept the speed up!
As a driver, you should know that if there's a concentrated number of people in a given area, they're there to watch something go wrong. Check up before you wreck up.
In my 50 years of offroad racing in Cali, Nevada, Arizona and Baja...the ONLY place I've ever seen man-made traps was in Mexico. And then only near where there are a bunch of people. Never seen it way out in the boonies.
Sure would suck to throw it away in the first 3 miles. I remember the Mint 400 when it used to start at the old Las Vegas Speedrome, there were a lot of people that didn't make it more than a couple hundred yards after they left the pavement.
It might be a pain to set up but I'd like to see the MPH on screen somehow. I think the teams that hit it fast and straight did fine. It was the ones that came of the first bump a bit sideways that didn't make it.
*Some dam varmint dug a hole for his house in my road, it's difficult to see and bottoms out my susintion when I hit it.* Have a Wonderful Winter Solstice, the reason for the season. A traditional celebration dating back more than 5000 years in which the Sun is literally rebirthed in the passageway of an ancient tomb, (where have you heard that before?) "The Grand Passage Tomb", a World Heritage site. A celebration of life and renewal, peace and camaraderie with food, song, dance drink and good cheer. Happy Holidays. Let the Sunshine In... *Be Happy* .
It is interesting to see how the more experienced drivers will try to jump over the hole or completely avoid the deeper bit of it all together. Then you got the ones that forgot about it lol
I could watch this a 100 times. Looks like the rigs that had more of a front weight bias hit harder, especially if they slowed down right before the first hit. The buggies appeared to do really good because the engine is in the rear.
What road is this located nearest to gonna be heading out there in a few weeks for the race and looking for a place to camp in our rv that is close to the track like this is?
Unfortunately, this section is not part of the course this year. There is usually camping along Shea Rd, but the spectating isn't very exciting watching them go down the wash.
Crash porn. Yes I clicked on this click bait. Ill show myself out. Seen one, seen em all. Now thats outta my system, time to watch other chewing gum for the mind.
How could you ever let a driver behind a wheel or handle bars that has never heard when in doubt gas it out. Every dude that crash let off the throttle my little sister can drive better than those dude that crashed
