Maretu's songs always have "aggressively hum and headbang while skipping like a lil schoolgirl" kind of vibes and I love it

I truly admire how he always care and feel sorry about the people who went through all of this type of abuse, is really cool and emphatic towards the viewers.

I just wanna point out the visual MARETU used, because it represents the singer. In the song, she was r@ped (probably by someone she trusted), leading her to be both broken and pissed. The visual gives us a glimpse into the singer's mind, and the visual at the final part of the song represents her taking her own life. MARETU's visuals, like their songs, never miss, man.

As some people have suggested, Coin Locker Baby is a very dark but catchy Maretu song to hear. However, if you feel like hearing a dark and rather scary song by Maretu, I'd recommend you to hear Before I was Born (Umareru Mae Wa). It would make you shiver

Well I’m a SA survivor, and a survivor as well of suicide. This song specifically of Maretu is very relatable to me and probably to other sa victims. The trauma of it is like pissed and want to kill. So this song is just 🤌🏻

Personally to me the song sounds like not only r4pe but repeated sexual abuse. The girl sounds young and I'm guessing the abuser is an older man because of the line "bragging about all the -younger- girls you've f*cked." To me, the song is about a young teenage girl being coaxed and manipulated into sexual favors for an older male. Many of the lines in this song speak of "the nights" (plural) that they spent together fighting, laughing, etc. I believe that the true "mind fvck" is that she blames herself for not having been able to see it sooner and now suffers from ptsd due to his abuse and manipulation. She sees another young girl with him and realises that she was just another victim. Just a toy. She doesn't want that for the other girls but knows from experience how impossible it is for the girl(s) to believe her at this beginning phase of abuse. This is just my understanding due to abuse(sexual or emotional) that I, myself had faced as a child. I love how well the music expresses the feeling of chaos that comes from the messed up amalgamation of emotions this type of abuse brings. 10/10 would cry again
