Just had a chance to play Ghosts of Tsushima, I wanted something different, something related to war but in a different era and I just came upon this masterpiece. The intro scene of this game is something that instantly immerses you into the game.
I think Sucker Punch did a great job in making this intro scene it has some accurate detail like the Mongol leader burning the Samurai and then killing him was actually true, the reason could be the Mongol leader was upset that they sent an incompetent warrior for a duel. You can hear the Samurai say the descendants of great ancestors and that's where the Mongol leader got upset, Mongols did not believe in being proud of their own ancestors instead they would judge their worth on base of their own achievements.
Mongol warriors could be seen killing civilians as it was a brutal tactic used by them to convey a fearful message to the population and make them fear more and hesitate to fight them.
