When we first started looking for aluminum stock trailers to haul our bulls around after the sale, I talked to several of my friends who are in the same business as we are. They all had one thing to say: use an EBY trailer. So, we first bought an EBY 24ft Maverick and liked it so much that we used it probably for six or eight years. We still have it. Later, we bought a 32ft Roughneck, and with those floating gates, they are exceptional. We have not had any trouble with either of them. The quality is second to none. Their axles are all torsion axles; we have not worn any tires, and we've pulled them a lot of miles. We just have not had any problems. They hold up well; the gates and latches are terrific. The floating gate is very important in our business. We decided that we did not want a cheaper aluminum trailer because we wanted something that was very durable and dependable. We have two weeks between our bull sale and when we start calving, and we'll have 150 to 200 bulls to deliver nationwide. We just can't afford problems. That's why we pull an EBY.
