The "exercise" he is talking about is *INTERVAL TRAINING: Workouts in which you alternate periods of high-intensity exercise with low-intensity recovery periods.* Thumbs up if you appreciate me telling you! 😉👍
My sister used to have type 2 diabetes. She then used a solution that she found online to lower her blood sugar and cure it. If you want to learn about it then go here now: HootCure.xyz
I guess you could do any type of exercise… Run, jump, bike, swim, etc. really fast/hard for 10 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, and then do that exercise or something else fast/hard again. Doing that rep for 10 minutes is what he’s talking about. I think I will try that this morning. Thank you for doing this video for us!💞
I didn't know I had diabetes ru-vid.comUgkx6Cu3qDh3FB7umUbfXaU7hDAHrqvwQyNk till I was told by my doctor. I could not recognize any of the symptoms. This is the best information I have had. After I was sent to have a blood test, which is done annually, and was asked to monitor my blood sugar over a month or more. I did not know the meaning then. But I noticed I was thirsty more often than before. I am 65 now - diagnosed at 63. A bit overweight 5 ft and 132 pounds, stopped smoking. Watched my weight and lost 10 pounds. This stuff has been great source of info.
I stayed on the video because I am a diabetic and I am motivated. The info you are providing is quite relevant and appreciated but need to get to the point in a shorter video please and thank you. God bless
Some years back, I was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic. My doctor's primary advice for reversing this? Resistance exercise. Not cycling, or running, or any kind of aerobic activity. Resistance, preferably with weights, although bodyweight exercises were OK too, if chosen directly. And he was right.
People are asking for the exercise, he says interval training. He said: after warming up: (ie walking, light stretching?) 10 seconds of hard running or biking, followed by 30 seconds of easy walking. Do that 15 times and that will be 10 minutes. Do that 2x a week. I suppose you could incorporate walking into that. Let's say you go walk 2 miles at the park 4 days a week. Every other time incorporate the interval training after your walk, that way your muscles will be warmed up. For me, I would stretch 5-10 minutes as well. For me, when I run or play tennis I feel like I have to be careful not to pull a muscle. So I may not run quite as fast as I would have in the past, but as fast as I can without messing myself up. Do the best you can though, right?!?
I'm pretty judgmental of RU-vid videos, especially people who don't get to the point. However this guy can hammer home the same point over and over if just one person finally gets the message and takes ownership of their diabetes. Keep doing what you're doing, it's good work.
People have to hear things at least 5 times in a presentation before actually retaining it. English teachers don't want you when you write a story to get to the point. They want it drawn out. They want what I call filler. So most people draw it out.
"Lean muscle" is a redundancy, not a double entendre. Thanks very much for this helpful information. I think these exercises would be great for anyone. People complain too much; I think you can understand what to do from the video, or just look up an example on RU-vid.
What is wrong with this Tasty generation that wants 30 second videos. What is wrong with you that you can’t sit and listen to information for 7 minutes??? He explains what to do and why it works. Nobody cares about why things work, you just want a quick fix. Thank you man for such a thorough video!
What? To sit and listen to padded out bullshit for 7 minutes when you could be much more effective in much less time?!? What a bullshit licker you must be.
Hah so true, such an informative video. I love that Yuri wants the viewer to learn a little about the condition and the facts as they might not hear it anywhere else.
I do this for an hour three times a week along with weight lifting. We usually do 40 seconds hard and 20 seconds rest. during a 24-minute period plus other exercises or lifting. I am Type II and will be 74 years old next week. I also work full-time and am enjoying life.
Dr. Yuri, thank you for this thorough presentation. I focus on exercise everyday to keep my body strong and healthy. I want to be lean even I get to 80 or 90 years old. Healthy living and happy living. Thank you for stressing the important of exercise for type 2 diabetic people. I am so grateful for your video.
What works for me is using an elliptical walker that has a program with one minute high itensity and another minute low. I do this for 20 min. twice a day.
I seen a video where this man says to take 5 bananas, 2 apples, 2 kiwi and a hand full of kale. Blend them all together with purified water and, drink half in the morning and the rest through out the day. He didn't say how long to do this. Isn't there a lot of sugar in the fruit? Thank you so much for your video and knowledge.
Yes. That is too much sugar for someone who is diabetic. If that worked no-one would suffer diabetes. Limited fruit can be fine but 3 bananas is a lot of sugar. I do not know why people feel compelled to propagate such misinformation. Maybe they are Narcissists who have run out of people in their lives to control & harm, looking to feed off of other peoples distress? Always need to watch out for predators!
It's probably a full body workout intense workout: Weights and sprints. You are burning sugar in every working muscle and training them to take in more sugar over time.
Hey guys, good to receive comments which I can resonate with you all but could use more gentle language please. I think Text messages are in upper casing are uncalled for. Can feel his passion and sincerity in sharing and helping people. A good turn from Yuri certainly deserves another from all of us. let’s all encourage Yuri so there are more healthy pointers from him to share in future and this will sustain his interest to help more passionately😀
It is better to explain what you are talking about with table or picture. So everyone who watch it can understand n of course can make more viewers. Sorry im not good in english...
Compelling and informative video. Fascinated you used techniques from your professional soccer training experience. Perhaps, you could do another video describing the training program of professional soccer players for endurance, leg strength, and speed as well as the nutrients used to increase hand eye coordination along with some behind the scenes stories from your days on the tour. Thank you for sharing your vast expertise and for the ways to shoot the winning goal over type 2. The truth shall set us all free.
In fact, for all machines including motor cars, its recommended to operate at high speed I.e. about 7000 rpm for a few seconds daily. as against 1500 rpm. Even energy generation in fly wheel takes place only above 6000 rpm. Thus, body cells too may be requiring such high speed operation in order to remain healthy and produce more insulin.
FYI, As a insulin-dependent type 2, I can tell you that no amount of exercise can replace life-sustaining insulin. I have always been an avid hiker and have for the majority of my life followed a low-glycemic way of eating. Neither one of these healthy habits prevented my type 2 from progressing to the point where I am completely insulin-dependent. To claim that exercise can replace or is better than insulin is ignorant. Without insulin, I would die. So much mis-information out there regarding type 2 diabetes, which by the way, is pre-disposed by genetics. Thank you for reading this and having an open mind.
Type 2 diabetes is a lifestyle disease. You don't need insulin. You need to remove excess sugar from your body. Insulin just forces the sugar into your organs which causes them to basically rot.
You can definitely reverse your diabetes! This is a good place to start, as he explains things very clearly. Explains very clearly why current drugs for diabetes does not help treat the disease at all, and that is why diabetes continues to worsen if just taking medication. Since youtube does not let me post links, just search for the video: “How to Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally | Jason Fung”
Thankyou for sharing this information, which could make a difference for people. Please could you do a video where you show us the exercise, so we can be sure to be doing it right? Also could you include different options for those of us who do not have exercise bikes etc & do not have the option of getting one. Thankyou.
Im 38, smoker, type 2 diabetic, liver damaged, recovering alcoholic. Haven’t drank for almost 4 years in april. (Jan 7 2020 today) an weight 24st. This HIIT for example could i run from my front door of house, full speed upstairs to a back bedroom then half pace downstairs back to front door and repeat for 10 mins? Would that qualify as 10 secs full, 30 sec reduced? Sorry i dont have any equipment to use just stairs....
Thank you very much for this content Doctor. I have been suffering from type II diabetes for over a decade and your video gave me hope. Thanks a million 😀. God bless you and your family and all of your projects.
2.20 HIIT. So it is high intensity interval training , where you do a short burst of energy output to get your insulin sensitivity back. It may or may not work for you as your body and mine or his will respond in it's own way.
Yeah great but I'm only prediabetic And already have neuropathy feet symptoms i would love to Play football or run again but me feet Hurts. Will it ever come away?
Just going through a few of the comments, none mentions rebounding which is accessible to the majority of ages, just buy a decent one, not a cheap one, and link it with HIIT, theres hundreds of youtube clips on this.
Thank you so much for the info on interval training being especially beneficial for people with diabetes. I'm not diabetic, but work with a lot of people with diabetes and pre-diabetes in my Lifestyle Medicine nurse/coaching position. Do you think I would get value from the material at the URL above?
So glad I have found this, My wife has had diabetes for 20 years, she is starting to get nerve damage in her feet, and her eye sight is not good, can you tell me if this is permanent, is it to late, or is there still hope, I have spent the last couple of weeks looking at your videos, Thank you so much, we used to do a lot of walking, now we do some cycling, as she can not walk very far
I saw another of this guy's videos and filled out the application for his free ebook, but have as yet received nothing. Ll I got was a video advertising something else with the clickbank logo bottom right. Sneaky. Especially as politician-like, he says somewhere that his aim is to help 100m people by 2040. Why the hell don't these people tell the truth? "I'm out to make as much moolah as possible by providing information of value. That way, you're happy and I'm happy." I for one would have far more respect and trust for anyone who showed such frank honesty at the outset.
Forget what I wrote above yesterday. I was piqued because I hadn't at that time received my ebook, which I have now. Two pieces of advice, one from said book, I've gotten from him, and following them I've noted immediate improvements in my postprandial blood sugar levels. Normally it's over 10, up to 15. After incorporating apple cider vinegar before eating I've found it is now under 7.
AFTER I TWISTED MY ANKLE CAN'T DO MUCH AND I HAVE DIABETES AND HYPERTHYROIDISM TRYING TO GET UP EVERY DAY OUT OF BED AND I PAST OUT 3 DAYS AGO AND TWISTED MY ANKLE I CAN HERE MY HEART BEATING ALSO I STOPED ALL CARBS 3 DAYS AGO! START PASSING OUT MORE I TAKE HYPERTHYROIDISM MEDICINES! SAW YOUR VIDEO AND IF RAN 3 DAYS AGO BEFORE THIS HAPPEN I WOULD HAVE DIED NOT GOOD FOR FAST HEART BEAT!
too long winded, get to the point, I fast forwarded just to get to the point! I agree HIIT definitely works, give examples, apply it to a few different exercises, and how do you know you are at 90%. I have a HR monitor, you didn't even mention such a thing.Good start! Dr. S.
