Clarification on #5: Protein. When someone has end-stage kidney disease, 3 ounces of protein would be perfect. The worse off your kidneys are the less protein they can handle. If you have protein in the urine, you should cut back on your protein because your body is not processing it correctly. However, low protein doesn't prevent kidney problems. It's only when it's damaged will you have problems.
interesying. i have had CKD stage 5. GRF 11 for 7 months. i have a garden and grow Bok Choy... i think it is the only reason im still alive. Im barely alive though.

Dr Berg I hope you didn't see my comment below yet as I have rewritten it about 10 times! Thank you for all the videos, this is very timely advice for me.
I appreciate your work. I believe I may have very early stages of kidney disease. I have almost no signs other than occasional right side kidney discomfort. But otherwise I’m 6’4 @ 190 lbs and workout. I look like I’m in “good shape” and from the hospital to the naturopath to my gp all day they are fine. It’s a bit disheartening because my body is telling me something else. I DID have a pill popping problem (to my shame) in the past (T-1’s) and what made me quit was the pain in my liver and kidneys. Now everything does seem good, except the prior thing I mentioned. I tried low carb recently and I think i put my body into complete shock by forgetting my electrolyte, mineral and calorie intakes and had to rebalance things with complex carbs and eat them with fiber/healthy fats to slow digestion. The new symptom I have is hard heart beating. Not fast, not palpitations, just hard. And it’s usually after I eat and it can last 15 plus hours at a time. It’s very bothersome. I went and talked to again, the hospital, my dr, and nutritionists and my blood pressure, blood work and heart are all good they say? But this doesn’t feel normal. My dr is asking ME what tests I want. He gave me adavan for my diagnosed “severe anxiety” I’ve had for years and years. But it does nothing. Based on what I’ve shared could the heart thing be anxiety like they all seem to think? Or could there be a relation to the kidneys? It’s a sinking feeling that I, the lay person have to dr myself. However eventually I may be able to freely help others once this issue is resolved. (Lord willing) I’m hoping it’s just that over the last two years plus sudden dietary changes it’s just shock and stress. Like panic attacks. But they are NOT fun! I’ve actually been watching your cortisol videos and stress management vids. Would you feel comfortable suggesting any particulate tests? I’m thinking to ask for a creatinine level test, cortisol test andvpossibly acid in the blood? Dr says my thyroid is fine too? My diet now is mainly healthy raw and whole foods. Some of which are on your list. I’m thinking my adrenal glands could be over working? As you can probably tell, we’re all at a loss. Thanks so much in advance.
Sharing Dr Bergs notes for this important episode! The kidneys filter out chemicals, excess minerals, excess sugar, and excess protein byproducts. Unfortunately, our environment is full of toxins, so we need a healthy liver and kidneys to deal with this toxicity. The kidneys also help activate vitamin D. Diabetes is one of the leading causes of kidney disease. The top symptoms of toxic kidneys include: • Gout • Kidney stones • Puffy eyes • Edema • Itchy skin • Glucose and protein in the urine • Urine that has a strong ammonia smell • Dark foamy urine • High blood pressure The #1 food to support the kidneys is bok choy. Here are the top benefits of bok choy for the kidneys: 1. It has enzymes that support detoxification 2. It’s high in potassium and magnesium, which protect the kidneys 3. It doesn’t contain oxalates 4. It’s low in protein Other ways to support the kidneys: • Consume apple cider vinegar mixed with water • Consume lemon juice • Consume celery • Lower your protein consumption (consume 3 oz per meal) • Consume more potassium • Drink distilled water • Take probiotics or consume probiotic foods • Consume zinc • Try Arginex by Standard Process Keto and IF also helps! Thank you Dr Berg!!🐱👍🏿
Turmeric also contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which helps clean the kidneys and protect it from infections, detoxifies the liver and purifies the blood. Ginger is also a good herb for cleansing the kidneys and liver, which helps flush out toxins and harmful substances from the kidneys, and improve digestion.
I have Tumeric and Ginger in a really good tea 3 times a day. I forget the brand name, but it contains Tumeric, Ginger, and Meadowsweet. Tasty, warming, and healthy with zero caffeine.
@Pink Rose they had my list of medications and what supplements I told them I was taking. They didnt say anything about it but I googled it and it said taking turmeric along with blood thinners can cause the two to interact. Then I brought it up to my doctor and told him and he said yeah I would just stop taking the turmeric. So I kind of told him lol. A lot of these doctors don’t really say anything. There’s other medications im taking that have interactions like losartan and a steroid called Dexamethasone
The end of June, I had multiple organ failures. I was intubated, put into a chemically induced coma and dialysis. I was end stage renal disease. They brought me out of the coma after a week. Continued dialysis for a total of two months. My body stabilized and I am doing well now. Stage two renal disease. Appointment with nephrologist tomorrow.
Thank you once again Dr. Berg for this information. Since following you (for some years now), my kidney stage results has decrease from stage 3 to stage 1. You saved me from dialysis. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!! God Bless 🙏🏽

This video confirmed what i felt i had been struggling with: too much protein. The high protein diet push lately has done damage to my health and I sensed something was wrong as I never crave it as my petite athletic frame can't handle it and now am too muscular for my size. I am now very dense, digestion is super off, nonstop bloated, as the amount my coach has me eating so much protein and I have to force myself to eat it and rarely can finish it. And cant lose weight and struggling with fatigue nonstop. Thank you Dr. B
Similar issue. I hate protein. I’m on keto but can’t keep up with the protein. I have heard stories how keto causes kidney issues. Don’t know if that’s true. I’m also fatigued too. I know I’m anemic though maybe that’s why. I definitely need to be drinking more water too. Keto though has helped me drop 25 pounds. Started at 140 I’m steadily at 115 now and I’m 5’2. I had a horrid sugar addiction and that messed up my teeth too.
It is truly impressive how much information you provide every day. I have never seen another RU-vid channel so consistent with quality and quantity. Moreover, the information is way more complete than the regular facts people and even medical professionals think they know and it is taught in a comprehensible manner. Thanks Dr. Berg!
@@LDiamondz I can't handle them either anymore.. I could when I was younger.. but it's great for those who can.. I can do celery juice, but that's about it lol.. apple cider vinegar gives me kidney pain now.. I used to take it with no problems about ten years ago..
@@KishBish Yeah, I like celery, it's pretty mild on the stomach. Agreed. When you get older, there are a lot of things you can't eat anymore. Spicy foods kill me, fried foods, cheese, most dairy and sugar, too. I can't eat any of those things. Lemon juice, ACV, zinc pills. Too much. 🤢
Very interesting. Looking back, my wife and I were both pre-diabetic. Healthy by most standards. But had kidney stones, both of us. Had high blood pressure, kicked off by a mold apartment. Had lots of dandruff, puffy eyes, blepharitis. Dry skin, which lotion does nothing for but for that 10 min it's moistened. Then it dry's right out. I knew there was something wrong 20 years ago and didn't find you then. To explain some of the symptoms and now know what to do about it. Or how to share with others what may work for them. My blood work last years before doing anthing different in diet/food choices. Kidney function was 80%. I read it back then but didn't know it was a problem Dr. didn't say anything either. It was a big MEH. That doesn't mean anything. I did the intermittent fasting, high saturated fat and more meat. Now kidney function is 100%. Thanks for reinforcing the concept and path to figure out a problem if you are unsure. or if you dont' feel good. If you feel bad and don't feel like you can run a mile. Then you need to watch all of his videos. Dr feng too. Change your life and get healthy. Eat some veg, meat, eggs and salt. Some butter and other saturated fats. Maybe coconut oil, some. Eat things for vitamins. Not calories. Do not eat tons of carbs if you don't feel amazing after having them.
Thank you for telling your story, I wish you the best and speedy healing. I wish Dr. Berg would do a video on the health effects of mold and calcium disregulation and neuro-hepatic -cytotoxic effects. Mold is very yin, and it seems to perpetuate resentment, anger confusion, etc. According to OSHA, 70% of buildings have water damage. Info about mold seems to get buried and is hard to find. IMO it is the underlying cause of many healthy problems especially cancer.
I had the exact same issues from living in a mold filled house. Have been in a low oxalate diet fir 2yrs and high protein but have felt that my kidneys weren’t right and a recent test showed stage 3 kidney disease. Mold is so harmful !!
The fact that you recommends distilled water makes for me, all the difference!! I know that all your information and recommendations are spot on!! This stuff is for real!! Thank you Doc!
Thank you so much Dr.Berg! My daughter was just diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome and we haven't got very many answers. I was literally told by her nephrologist that her diet DOESN'T matter, just to keep low sodium diet. We are on a mission to cure her gut and get to the bottom of this & heal her with God's help.
if you find out let me know. I've gotten it before and had it cured with prescribed tablets. I got it again 4 years later but almost gone now with the same set of pills.
Do your own research. I started dialysis 3 months ago. I wanted to go plant based but was told exactly the same thing. My renal nurse actually told me to eat more animal proteins as I was losing protein in urine. For some health professionals its drugs drugs drugs. If i had my time again, I would be on a plant based diet, from the minute I was diagnosed. Also cut out gluten and any other processed foods. Wishing you and your daughter all the best.
Dr. Berg, I love your videos. I share them with my family a lot. My sister has kidney disease and was on dialysis. Currently she is not on it because she has been trying to change things with her diet. So far so good, but her endocrinologist keeps telling her she may end up back on it. I know there is something else she can do, but the doctors keep feeding her misinformation. It is so frustrating. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You are appreciated!
This is all great information, Dr. Berg. I'm a foot zone practitioner and in my practice I have learned that Parsley Tea is one of the best herbs to drink to help the kidneys. It keeps the Bowman's capsules clean and clear. I make the tea with fresh organic parsley, maybe about a cup of parsley to one quart of water. I steep it for 8 minutes and no longer. Just an add on to kidney care. Drink it all day long, hot or cold! Thank you for your information!
@@incognito9262 I think it would be helpful for digestion. I think the best way to flush the kidneys however is to make it into a tea. Parsley is sometimes not given much attention as I think some people think it's just for looks. It's actually medicine!
@@chermarie332 thank you! great info! I use a lot of parsley in salads, add it to garlic and olive oil dip, and also make Tabbouleh. However, I’ve never tried it as tea before- but I’m going to right now 😊
Dr Berg, I listen to your videos faithfully. You have refreshed my brain n taught me more. The thing is you make so much sense about health topics. If it doesn't make sense, then I can't comprehend it, my brain doesn't compute, lol. Keep it up, you have hit many topics I need. Thanks, Doc.
The only symptoms I have on the list is foam in my urine sometimes and lab results showed protein in my urine. Other than that I feel great everyday. I’ll definitely cut back on protein intake and keep drinking a little apple cider vinegar in my water. I have been blending Raw Irish Sea Moss gel in my smoothies in the morning and sometimes I eat a couple pickle slices on an empty stomach which has helped with my bowel movements. I thank this doctor for what he’s doing. Many people need to know a lot of food we eat in this country is totally banned over in Europe and other countries. God bless us all🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I get ocassional foam in my urine. Sometimes, I have protein in it, sometimes I don't. I feel Amazing almost everyday. Where do you get your sea moss gel?
Yeah me too the only symptom I have is foam. I have to try that water with apple cider vinegar in it a spoon of it. Just thought of something maybe I can mix it with my lemonade put one spoonful in with my lemonade what the heck is going to get mixed up in your stomach anyways so what's the difference. Can't believe I'm doing this stuff I started out just wanting to lose some weight so I can button my pants. So the first video I watched from him explain to me why I was never losing any weight because I would eat all the right things for lunch and dinner. So I would say to myself wow I was really good today let me have a nice big bowl of ice cream at 8:30 and in the first video I watch he said if you have any snacks after you eat your dinner you just wasted the whole day. And that's exactly what I was doing every night. Cut that out went from 200 lb to 178 from September 11th to now.

@@plumleytube At some stage in the kidney disease cycle, the kidneys start having trouble processing potassium. High potassium is bad, and could be worse even, than low potassium, because high potassium causes muscle spasms, most notably your heart. I'm sure Dr. Berg would agree with you that, if your doctor is concerned your potassium is too high, then you should listen. I am currently in this situation. I am fighting off end-stage kidney disease, while balancing heart disease and diabetes. I am already trying some of the things Dr. Berg has recommended, and I will step that up and add others to my regimen. I won't, of course, add Bok Choy to my diet at this time. If my kidney function improves to the degree that my serum potassium levels drop considerably, I will add it at that point, and observe the results.
Would be great to see Dr Berg make a video on the proven and anecdotal benefits of meditation and/or just deep breathing. Like what happens in the body when you spend an hour a day, or even 15 minutes, taking very deep, slow breathes for a few days, a week, or even a few months? I know the effect is compounding on the function of the nervous system, muscles and organ tissue as you do it regularly, and I already know from previous research and experience how powerful and rejuvenating it is, but it's always a treat to hear it from Dr Berg all organized and to the point.
Hi. Thank you all for the blessings and nice comments. You ask what did I do? Well, I followed Dr. Berg's lead and did my research of course, and listened to my body. Long story short (believe me this is short). I started eating clean, I cut sugars completely out and this mean fruit as well. Yesss, fruit because fruit have a lot of (natural) sugars in them (blue berries, yes but in small quantities) and remember you are already in overload. I know this because I became either dizzy or my eyes became very blurry afterwards (the pre-diabetes number told it and my lower back would hurt). I eat little (very small quantities once per week if I crave) to no carbs. I worked on my liver, blood sugars (pre-diabetes) and gall bladder which they are all in connection with the kidneys, per my doctor. Dr. Berg supplements, and this is not a selling point, they really work! I can't digest large salads but I do eat organic vegetables, avocadoes, probiotic foods daily (no dining out), small quantities of food & meat (grass fed of course, no pork) and I start using Dr. Berg's Vitamin D3 & K2, cruciferous and Vitamin B1 or nutritional yeast supplements. I also do intermittent fasting and I am down to 1 meal per day sometimes 2. The best tea that I have found that works for me is Organic Green Tea and the Liver Detox Tea with yellow dock and milk thistle (make sure the tea bags are Chlorine free-I did 1 cup daily). This tea help cleanse and takes the stress off the kidneys along with potassium herbal supplements (food source vitamins). Once my blood sugars and high blood pressure went down, my kidney numbers started to decrease as well. The #1 thing is to drink plenty of water-I do not drink alkaline water because its not really alkaline after its been sitting in plastics bottles, so I do distilled water (I started doing 1 gallon a day and now I just do 2-3 liters per day). No sodas, wine, alcohol, coffee, juice...nothing, nothing but tea & WATER adding lemon or lime for flavor in the water. Just until I got my numbers down, but now I don't even like the taste of anything but my water and teas. Calcium, magnesium, and zinc work wonders and helped me on my journey as well (make sure they are of good quality). I hope this helps someone out there and remember to do and take what works for you. Listen to your body. If you can't take certain supplements or eat certain vegetables, try something else but don't give up! It doesn't happen overnight or in a couple of days/weeks, but it did take me about 6 months to start seeing the numbers decrease. It was a choice of life. Good Luck to you all!!
Your information was very Grateful 😇 to Us Thank you much My husband has been Diabetic for some time now I see many issues from medications now effecting his body Especially Puffy Eyes & Gout & Swelling in Ankles I dont like it 😢 I would like to ask what is a Good Brand of Vitamins for him to take ? Question? Why a high potassium diet for toxic kidneys when most nephrologist say stay away from potassium? Love your content and looking forward your answer.
I'm assuming when you mean toxic kidneys, they are at an earlier stage of kidney failure? You may want to clarify that if someone has been diagnosed with kidney disease, you must avoid high potassium foods. High potassium leads to cardiac events. The kidneys cannot filter potassium, especially late stage kidney disease, meaning potassium builds up in blood. Literally, high potassium causes heart arrhythmias and cardiac arrest.

I did a conscious switch to raw salt. I didn't know my kidneys were having trouble. I ate 2 teaspoons of Light Grey salt (by Celtic), on fresh tomatoes, and drank 12 glasses of water. By morning my double chin was single, my feet lost nearly a quarter size, and my heart shrunk it's swelling somehow. I didn't limit my trips up the stairs anymore. Just using it normally in meals ment feet shrank a little more. When I dropped gee emm ohs I went to a half size shoe loss between the 2, shoes kept falling off , and I needed narrow shoes. Why could that happen? Swelling stayed gone except for travel when many meals were out, when I took my salt with me , no problem.
I had a really bad reaction the last time I tried to get back into keto. I ended up in ketoacidosis. If you're type 2 diabetic I think it's better to recommend that you gradually work up to a keto diet and eating one meal a day. Hello Dr Berg....love your explanation on foods to consume in kidney disease. I don't agree on the high consumption of potassium though cause people with kidney disease are prone to high potassium because its not excreted by the kidneys and can lead to serious heart complications, weakness, nausea and so on especially in end stage renal failure. Thank you
Yes. My best friend was told to avoid potassium. His levels are fine, but his kidneys are at 3% & the doctors want him to avoid potassium & phosphorus & protein.
The newest research indicates that kidney patients don't need to be on a low potassium diet unless they are on medications that cause potassium retention such as ARBS and ACE inhibitors.
I disagree on the potassium. I had potassium in my blood. So I had to be very careful. My kidneys are now stage 3. I have lists of what to eat and what not to eat also all the food with purine in it. Drink a lot of water, becareful of alcohol, salt and processed foods. Watch red meat and carbs. I take 23 suppliments a day and noone guesses I am 73. I no longer take anything for diabetes and watching my salt I have low blood pressure. I do have trouble with my protein and take ACV everyday. Also capsules of red bell peppers, since I dislike peppers but red ones are very very good for kidneys. I will keep watching your videos. Thank you for this information.
@@joan-annebross9217 I agree. I was told to limit potassium. It's in almost everything we eat... but the body needs certain amounts of potassium as well as sodium (they work together). We can get all we need by accident.

It's very interesting that zinc decreases ammonia in humans. When used in plants as a foliar feed that have aphids or other pests and diseases zinc and combination with magnese copper melodium boron can actually help reduce plant sap ammonia. This helps change the balance of the plant back into a healthy state where aphids and other pests and disease will not attack the plant. Thanks Dr Berg this is excellent information!

I love bok choy. I always make this Vietnamese soup with ground pork or back rib. Just boil the meat and season the broth with a little salt and stevia, after it’s cooked, throw in bok choy, the moment the water boils again, take it off the heat. Amazing with fish sauce too.
I get oriental flavored ramen. Make a pot of soup with the flavor packet, add bok choy, snow peas, pork & whatever other vegetables u like. But I don't eat the noodles. Yum!
I downloaded the app. Hopefully you’ll put unedited, non self censored videos on there and really spread the truth. I saw videos about curing supposed incurable diseases caused by any virus with vitamin C many years ago. I cured hepatitis C with a couple dollars worth in one day. Only side effect was a little uneasy feeling in the stomach for about an hour. I went for blood work a few months later and it came back that I had antibodies but no active virus. So not only did I cure myself but now I’m immune and can’t get it again because of the antibodies. According to those doctors videos, it’ll cure HIV/AIDS and any other virus. All those videos have been removed from RU-vid.
@JenMarco please tell me how did your hcv antibodies became negative. I am a 28 yrs old male on dialysis(since 8 yrs) , recently contacted hcv due to negligence in dialysis unit . Please help me it will be a blessing to me. 🙏
Now this is strange and new. CKD patients are always advised to take low potassium diet as the kidney will not be able to filter excess potassium from the blood. Patients are mostly advised to keep away from green leafy vegetables. More explanation is needed.
The conundrum of potassium is that most kidney patients are advised to reduce their dietary intake of it as I was, till I got put on a daily potassium binder. The first time I tasted a banana after years of being deprived of then was like mana from Heaven. I'm thankful, I'm not diabetic but it looks like I will have to go back on dialysis due to chronic infections which terrifies me. The first time was for more than 4 years and all I thought about was ending it. I spent a lot of time speaking with counselors and ringing lifeline.
Don’t be confused. This video is informative - but if you have chronic kidney disease sodium and potassium must be reduced. Your kidneys can’t process them and can lead to more swelling, vomiting and heart problems.
You are a blessing from God. Thank from the bottom of my heart. I've cut out sugar for over a week, I feel a big difference in my body. I'm going to try to stay off this poison, aka sugar, for the rest of my life.
I'm a "sugar/chocolate" addict too. It's impossible to Fast because when I'm not allowed to eat..... I get verrrry cranky, and nervous. So I don't Fast, but would like to stop the sugar habit.
Dr. Berg, I would like for you to explain why you are encouraging a high potassium diet? Almost every video and article I read is saying lower and limit potassium. There are dietitians and other doctors on the internet saying avoid leafy vegetables, avoid avocado, spinach and olives all things I love and use to eat...I am confused as to what to eat. How much potassium is too much potassium?
I have seen many doctors say that the protein that we consume has nothing to do with the protein that we kidney patients spill in our urine. However, if that were true, there would never be a need to limit protein in the first place. Limited intake of protein has shown to reduce protein in the urine which is also why a vegetarian diet has also been advised.
Thanks Dr. Berg . I do have your app on my phone, I will check if there is a new one . I love all your videos helping people to live a healthier life . Thanks for all the care you put into all you and Karen do 💗💗
At the stage of kidney disease the situation is too far gone. The video is just about keeping the kidneys healthy, preventative measures if you will. All the best.
Dr. BERG ... you give people knowledge and basic understanding how to to get better , healthier and happier! Your presentations are always vivid and simple , yet so informative and colorful! You are a wonderful person, let's your life be filled with joy, longevity and happiness! Big respect Victoria!
@@Drberg How much ACV at one time, a teaspoon with lemon juice? I have SLE lupus, kidney damage, protein in urine Dr recently found a small mass in left kidney. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, RA and several other medical issues. Trying hard to get well, thank you.
I am really confused, my husband has been diagnosed with advanced kidney disease and his doctor wants him to go on a very low potassium diet. His renal Dr claims that the kidneys is the only organ in the body that can process the potassium, and if it builds up to high levels in the body, it can be very dangerous? Hyperkalemia is the term he used and sent us home with a large list of foods to avoid, truly it is scary to see what is on this list, knowing that he is a diabetic and has high blood pressure!
It 2022 Christmas and seeing family with the symptoms you described is alarming to me but they are oblivious. Sad. I have overcome type 2 diabetes with diet, exercise, updated knowledge, and action and discipline. Thank you doctor for the wisdom you share.
@chinyelu obiasor I used discipline. Had a routine and kept it for 3 months and was inadvertently monitored by an endocrinologist. My doctor was going to put me on insulin with meds. I had experimented with low card and Mediterranean diets. And then made a deal to give me 3 months and he said okay but he would assign me the endocrinologist. She monitored me and I didn't have to go on the insulin and was taken off one medication. Before I left she tried to get me on a satin. I asked why and she said just incase. I said i never had any cholesterol issues and will cross that bridge if I ever got there. Today I am med free. This is my account and I experimented on my own and had blood work as a guide. I am careful to say we must not blanket everyone with a remedy. We are unique and have reached our own state of health in different ways and need to study ourselves and be disciplined to getting to our optimal health. Both physical and mental will be helped.
Thank you so much for this information. I am in remission from Multiple Myeloma and still have too much protein in my system. Betweein the Multiple Myloma and the chemo my kidneys are failing. Unfortunately the Specialist does not give me any information on how to make things better they only want me to go on dialysis or get a kidney transplant. I am trying to keep my kidneys from going into the end-stage renal disease. I have ordered the Arginex and will also include some of the foods, supplements, and juices that will help. I cannot express how much I appreciate the information that you share.
Ok I'm a bit confused. The doctors say my mother need to avoid high potassium foods since she has hbp, diabetes and ckd. She even gets potassium blockers as they say the kidneys doesn't filter it well and it can cause heart attacks.
I recently got a really bad urine microalbumin (5,964) and microalbumin/creatinine ratio (4,142). My results were normal in May. I have been having high blood pressure this year and my lower legs have started to swell. I also noticed a bit of foam in my urine but it’s not dark or smelly. I’m really freaked out. I hope I don’t have kidney disease.
My husband is on dialysis thanks to the drug Metformin that the VA put him on and did not monitor his kidneys . We learned too late that Metformin is well known to cause kidney damage over long term use . He was on it around 20 yrs. for type 2 diabetes . I went off on the VA. nurse practitioner who he was seeing .
Watch Dr.vishvroop videos on diabetic diet and cure or get raid of dialysis at least follow his D I P diet . He has clinical in India and helping lots of people
@@diljitparmar8296 You mean Dr. Biswaroop. It's really hard to follow a diet based on plants mostly if you also have to follow a low potassium diet if you're on dialysis. I've been on dialysis for almost 5 years now, so I know from experience (and I'm a vegetarian).
Trigucomin from Amazon works 1000x better than metformin! The metformin destroyed me and didn’t help at all, thankfully I found the metformin before it could do any permanent damage. But recovery is possible, tell him to take the triglucomin and do a 16/8 intermittent fast, and take out gluten and oxalates from his diet, plus artificial and inorganic foods.
If you are prone to kidney stones from oxalates, it's a huge problem but what most people can do is boil their vegetables. Look up Effect of different cooking methods on vegetable oxalate content.
