One warning for people wanting to Talisman the j-7e. The teams are not great and you need to get 3 kills to go positive on SL in a loss (at least during the average length of an 11.0+ game). This is if you die.
this has been my experience too. the plane is at least fun to fly tho i thought i could get around this by squadding up with my friend in an f-14 and it just put him on these same teams instead of putting me on the american teams haha
yup. 20ksl for repair costs is just stupid. But hey. Gaijin only cares about money and you spending it for any reason at all so that's expected. I just wished they would add in some other FKING game modes that didn't involve 2 teams of planes colliding in a massive shit show at the start of every match. it's just so dumb.
Knowing Gaijin, those Eagles and Flankers will indeed be 11.7 because "Hey the AIM-7M/R-27ER are already at 11.7!" and then only when the AMRAAMs/MICAs/R77s come will there be 12.0.

@@alamoemperor3845 Russians have most of the time been top dogs performance wise but having totally balanced armament removed because Americans just cry too much about muh rear aspect only as if IR short range missiles were still relevant in a BVR and head on Doppler radar sparrow meta where sorry to spoil your point but America has been king of that since the F-4J was added. Vympel R73S were very strong but still balanced since they could be flared away until the second dev server where they buffed them over the top for 12 hours to build up rage from US mains to finally remove them as they planned to do since the first day they added. R24s are also worse now.
Seriously, I was shocked with how comparatively poor the rewards for the tram were compared to my F-5. If the snail wants $70 for a single vehicle the thing should have insane reward multipliers at the very least.

I highly recommend to wait a few seconds to wait for everyone elso to span, spot what kind of team/br range you're in. If there no chance of F8Es, F4j etc etc you can go all flares instead of mixed. It saves you a shit ton from 9Ls spam.
Missiles aside, I wouldn’t even call the A-10 a 10.0 plane. It’s slower than even some props. You give a Spitfire Mk 24 400 flares and AIM-9Ls and it’ll probably do better!

It's flight performance naturally isnt much but that simply doesn't matter when it carries missiles that are a guaranteed 2 or 4 kills against the many flareless jets it faces (and even those with flares might get caught as the 9L has IRCCM). Rank 6 and above's meta shifts to weaponry as opposed to flight performance being the primary factor of which plane is better
Really thought that the F16 and MIG29 being added would replace the J7E as the most manueverable plane at top tier, but for some reason they limit them to 9G's
It’s a half-assed implementation of these planes’ fly by wire systems, combined with them having a lot of speed (you don’t need to be full burning while dogfighting in these planes, they have insane engine power)
@@fixit9844 gaijin's flight model is starting to become a bit dated, both the F-16 and MiG 29 ingame have significantly weaker engines than IRL, IRL these planes also have afterburner stages, so you can get afterburner thrust but with less fuel consumption, this is ideal for when you don't want to rip your wings off in a straight line but need to go faster than mach 1, and you can go full afterburner in a dogfight when its not a concern, would also be neat to see the different afterburner effects, and would be tactically useful to see how hard your enemy is burning their fuel. the fly by wire system doesnt justify the turn rate, G-limiters can be turned off in combat irl no?, I am pretty sure the F-16 and MiG 29 can sustain far more than 9gs, it just won't be great for the airframe's lifespan or maintenance, but I think this can be said about every aircraft, its a bit silly.

Thanks for showcasing the J-7D. Watching your video, this jet bleeds speed very similar to the J-7 II and found this a good video to watch in how a pro would use the J-7 II. I notice that you took 20 min of fuel where I in Arcade am resigning myself only to min fuel , but I do watch my afterburn usage, so I can stay as maneuverable as possible. Can't use the keyboard like you guys but I do do well using the mouse for all maneuvers except rolls. I will buy this plane eventually when this pack comes on sale. I like the RP and SL rewards. 9.7 to 10.3 is quite frustrating rn. I used to love that BR but now you got SU25 and A10 Spam. Kinda sad to see that something without flares literally can't survive 3mins in that environment
Dunno man, 10.3 and 10.7 are the best brs by far for me right now. Especially if you have the mig21mf. 11.0 and up is straight up top tier, so pretty boring. And 9.3 is pure cancer of 97% uptiers where you are useless

@@aleski6506 f1 is my second most played jet, its worse than mf in every single think but I like how it looks. You get so many downtiers that its pretty fun to fly. Unless you get too close to an a10
10.3 vs 12.0 what the actual FUCK. Gaijin needs to either add an entire new BR rank and stretch things out, or make it so that 12.0 gets it's own matchmaker so that F-14/16 Yak-141 MiG-29 and Mirage-20005F(no one uses) can all just fight each other.. Wouldn't even be a problem since at 10.0 it's literally all F5C and A-10A on one team and no one whines about that
I just got the ej kai thanks to the f1. Completely ignored the ej after getting dumpster’d about 40 times. The f1 actually does pretty well if you play very passive and abuse the radar to find people
The talisman is basically free if you use the 2000 GE that comes with the A-5C pack as it'll only cost 1400 GE during 50% sales. And you really shouldn't be spending GE or buying packs without said sales.
@@dilldoe1991 By GEIng crew levels you're just wasting GE since you can get them for free in a semi-reasonable amount of time and prove to Gaijin that fucking their players over to extract money out of them is a profitable endeavor. It doesn't take longer than several dozen battles to get the G-overload skills maxed out and Experts unlocked for purchase, just don't engage in 1v1s against skilled enough players and leave at your AF until then.
I bought the A5c and really just do not like it. Magic 1s will get thrown off if your target even thinks about flaring. They also just have terrible drag stats and get munched by the air if its not a DIRECT rear shot. The plane itself isn't terrible. But after 750 kph, the plane just becomes a lawn dart and does not want to move After test flying the J7d and owning the Mitage f1c 2000 im certain i can make it work
i got the j7d, some times it can be frustrating against F16/F14, u just adapt to fly very low on the start of the game, analyze enemies, locate the worth to kill and run against them, pl5b does all the job and it's prety ez to go grinding with it (at least for me)
I honestly prefer it to the A-5 just cuz of the way it flies to the but some MM changes would make it way more enjoyable like 11.0 BR cap or moving it to like 10.7
I kinda bought this thing on accident, I thought they had moved it down to 10.7, but my game mode was set to arcade, I will say, it’s pretty bad, but it goes up against so many premiums that have no idea what their doing. A5c woulda been better, but I like the j7e enough

i wouldnt even call the PL-7 a 11.0 missile since every French jet that gets the Magic 1 is sub 11.0 and every jet at 11.0 and higher gets Magic 2's. the J-7D is at best a 10.3 and at worst a 10.7 aircraft.
MiG-29s historically ran like absolute dogwank at mil power, or really any power level below reheat, so meme or not at least the snail got that bit correct
PL-5Bs are one of the most flare resistant missiles with one of the smallest seeker FoV except for those ICCM missiles.. they seem to be like an r60 but they have like more than twice the rocket thrust than an aim-9L giving it close to aim-9G range..
I heard a long while ago that the 30 mil nose cannon in the later bf109s actually affects the weight I think I remember it being lighter than the 20 mil but I can't fact check this anytime I look it up I get no results does anyone know anything about this thanks
@@maxthehack9072 Not that the weight difference is significant enough to notice in most cases. You're better off using a gun you like using, rather than taking one over the other for a few kilo grams of weight.
Hello DEFYN, i was searching into your channel for a Harrier GR.7 video, i and i couldnt find one. I´m having a hard time playing vs F14 and F16s with him and i cant come up with an actual strategy that works against them. Can you make a video about the GR.7 or please enlight me what should i do? Top tier air RB is just trash rn. I cannot, for the life of me have any sort of fun. It’s just missile thunder where teams get obliterated the first 3 mins. I just want to have a proper dogfight sometimes but no, here’s 5 missiles for you while my team is ground pounding or dead. Fun.
It is basically a copy paste of the regular F-4EJ which is probably the worst 11.0 in the game. You only have AIM-7E's and AIM-9P's as missiles and non agile eagle Phantom Performance, so you can't really deal with planes that well. It's only real use is as a bomber as you said
It’s literally identical to the tech tree ej (just a reskin) if you are trying to grind the ej kai, your best bet is just stick with the f1 and ignore both 11.0 ej.
For grinding I would usually take a load of bombs and two magics, it sets you up pretty nicely to attack enemies at off angles if you survive your drop route. Lots of people play it as a pure fighter, I think it used to get an air spawn.
Is it worth getting the F1C? I know it isn’t the best but I need a better grinder instead of the Milan because that aircraft is pure pain to grind with.
it's ok he doesnt have the plane and is coping prematurely I made a video on it 2 days ago if you're interested. It might be the best french grinder soon but it's by far the worst 11.3 in the game, just keep that in mind
