I'm so happy you recognized the genius of NASA Is On Your Side. That is one of my top EE songs. Violent Sun, despite being upbeat, makes me kind of sad. It has one of my favorite EE lyrics "And she saying you don't have to be a lunatic... or an error... or a prisoner of your terror." The song reminds of the movie Last Night which is pretty much about making the most out of the last day on Earth. My list in no specific order 10. Can't Do 9. NASA Is On Your Side 8. Photoshop Handsome 7. Violent Sun 6. Lord of the Trapdoor 5. Hapsburg Lippp 4. I Want A Love Like This 3.Zero Pharaoh 2. To The Blade 1. Teletype

Tin (The Manhole) is my personal favourite, and I’m glad it made the list. Good stuff! Shame Lord of the Trapdoor didn’t make the list but it’s fine!

Love the style of this video, and not just because of my love for the subject matter. i would honestly love more videos like this and it would probably make me and others check out bands you all decided to choose for the vid. NASA is a bold choice but i respect it, great list overall and you did an amazing job Ryley of conveying what makes this band amazing and why the songs are so good, in a universe where i dont know any EE this vid would honestly be a great intro. some quick EEpinions: WARM HEALER DESERVES MORE LOVE. No Reptiles yeah can't help but agree, i feel like they're always gonna be remembered for that one. Violent Sun is so fucking good. THEY'RE ALL SO GOOD AAAHHH. Alex is a genius. Great vid!!

Really enjoyed listening to your explanations of what you enjoyed for each track. MY KZ, NASA, Duet, Birdsong, No Reptiles (obv), Schoolin and Suffragette are some of my favourites as well. Some of my favourites not included here are A Fever Dream, Undrowned, and Fortune 500, which when I think about it are some of the sadder tracks of theirs so perhaps thats a difference between what we like about EE.

I just commented on Reddit but in case you don't see: Love this and couldn't agree more 🙌 Night of the Long Knives is my personal fav. The way No Reptiles builds to that end is *chef's kiss* I just discovered this band a few weeks ago thanks to Middle 8 and I can't stop listening 😭

Lots of choice (mountain) cuts on this list. MY KZ, UR BF, Duet, No Reptiles, Violent Sun, Cough Cough. All fantastic tracks. It was great seeing some NASA is on Your Side love as well. P.S. You do kind of look like Jonathan Higgs circa 2015-2017 not going to lie.

I'm currently reading a book in which a character says something to the effect of "he assured me that everything, everything was lost." and it immediately made me think of them, my favorite band. It also made me think of how effective repeating the word "everything" can be. Just as the little self-referential line in Regret did. That line works so well because you don't have to hear it as their name, its also so easy to hear it simply as emphasis. Not just everything. EVERYTHING. Someone who didn't even know the band could hear that chorus and nothing would stand out as odd, I don't think. It's sort of a great little validation of a band name that I've always thought was quite strange.

No reptiles is SO GOOD, I found EE back in like 2016/16(?) and they became my #1 since, it’s just all weird lyrics, catchy beats and amazing vocals all around

I started getting into this band a lot recently thanks to my friends who are big fans of them. they're pretty different from what I usually listen to but I'm completely hooked. :o here's a few of my favorite songs, in no order: Schoolin' A Fever Dream Zero Pharaoh Only As Good As My God Final Form Black Hyena Arch Enemy Big Climb In Birdsong Jennifer honorable mention Planets - i'm the only one in my friend group that seems to like it this much

No Reptiles is a great choice for their best song. It definitely a contender for their magnum opus, with the atypical structure, the great lyrics rattled off in the intro, to the emotional rawness of the ending. Have you happened to see the video of them playing it live, when the audience singing along with it made him cry? Apparently, he'd felt self conscious about the lyrics and was touched to hear so many voices relaying it back to him. It's a pretty amazing video.

While jonathan voice is definitely the main instrument, I really like songs where the rest of the band takes center stage like in Yuppie Supper and Zero Pharaoh, It shows how versatile this band is.

Thank you for being able to articulate why Everything Everything are so fantastic, in a much better way that I can. I share many of the same songs in my top 10 (No Reptiles, In Birdsong), but Duet gets number one for me; like you said, from the powerful strings at the start, to the frantic burst at the end, it's just perfect.

Crazy cool thing about this band, i have a near totally different top 10 list, and thats just how they are. The Peaks, Hiawatha Doomed, Weights, Come Alive Diana, Armourland, Pizza Boy, Good Shot Good Soldier, To the Blade, The Wheel is Turning Now and WARM HEALER are my favorites.

😂 Literally none of them would have been in my top 20, sign of a great band. Mine would be (in no real order) No Reptiles, In Birdsong, Distant Past, Duet, Don't Try, Can't Do, Final Form, Ivory Tower, White Whale, Moonlight and Lord Of The Trapdoor. Sorry late to the party.
