Great video Racoon. I like that Ranger SS 158 FB4 nice radio. Its similar to the Ranger 969F1 I traided Fox for that Washburn guitar. Minus the power its the same radio. Ebay has the 158 fb4 for $749.99. Bit hi for my taste but fabulous radio. Again great video Racoon. Keep em coming. Be safe... 12ny...

Raccoons are my favorite animals and this is my all-time favorite RU-vid channel thank you so much for making these videos man I was overthinking stuff for a real long time about the STRYKER Sr955Hpc well I watched one of your videos last night and it made it so simple thank you so much I ordered the STRYKER and thought maybe this wasn’t the radio for me but now I got it down to a T much appreciate it raccoon🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍

Hi Nate , and thank you for those very kind words . I'm glad you found the channel , and that one of my videos could help you figure out the Stryker SR-955HPC . That's why I started the channel , to try and help people with radio equipment . I've had my Stryker 955 for almost 2 years now , and they're a great radio , and a very easy radio to use too . I'm sure you'll be really happy with it once you start using it ... I know that I'm really happy with it . Hey raccoon, have they updated the power on the Lincoln 2+ , I bought mine 18 months ago and it’s still the same 30w pep it’s always had , left out the Echo , high swr shut off transmit , tx or rx clarifier , I think it’s a rock solid radio being the grandson of the HR2510 which was also a classic which I’d also owned a few of , I personally think it should be higher although I realise that you have added it so your opinion is basically the same as mine anyway, keep up the good work and see you on the next one!

Thanks Jim , I really do like the Lincoln II + ... in fact , I've never seen a President radio I didn't like . Especially the HR2510 that you mentioned . I've used the same HR2510 for at least the past 15 years ... it's definitely one of my top 5 favorite radios that I've owned over the years . I almost got a Lincoln II + myself , but then I decided to get the Stryker SR-955 HP ... no regrets at all , it's a great radio .

I've got a 955 in the desk. Great radio. I had another that was setup by a big audio guy. I ended up selling it due to liking the stock audio better. Great radio all around. Funny thing...I still run my Zac t the most. Gotta love the classicst

@@RaccoonsRadioRanch Yeah I know I’ve heard them on sideband!! Crystal clear !! How does the FM work ? Have you tried accessing any 10 meter repeaters ,? Is that capability available on the Stryker 955 ? I know it has FM but I’m not real familiar with it yet but seems the Lincoln has been set up for it , with preset repeater tones ? I’m not sure I have some more research to do

@@Dallas-Rife-UDX-347-Tennessee I have used it on FM , and it performs well there too ... and yes I've used it on 10 meters as well . But as for 10 meter repeaters , there aren't in my area , so I don't have any way of checking that .

President is my favorite radio company. I have a ton of their equipment , I just don't own a President Richard . I'll have to check it out sometime .

The newer exports are cool ive owned a ton of em. The one thing I dont like is surface mount components. My hands are just to shakey to work on that stuff...

I have had many Exports over the years , and although I'm not a fan of surface mount equipment either . I do own 2 surface mount radios ... and I love them both . Both of them are 2 of my favorite radios . As for working on them ... yeah no , I won't be doing that any time soon .... lol

I hear that. I've got several never icom rigs that are all surface mount. Love the radios. I checked the price on that ranger. Ouch. The 400 watts in one package is nice though.

My understanding the n2 , n3 will no longer be made . Longhorn was also discontinued as well .

The N2 and N3 is probably because more people are buying the N4 model instead of the N2 and the N3 . But that Longhorn seems pretty new , I have no idea why they'd stop making that .

Hey Racoon you forgot to mention Ranger X-9 and Ranger 99 n-2 brand new Radios not Old Radios what happen?

Sorry Ricardo , the X9 was meant to be in the video , but it vanished from the sites I check while I was making the video . Maybe it sold out , I don't know ... but it was removed , and this list is for radios that can be bought online right now . The Ranger 99 n-2 wasn't on any of those sites either

Literally only three of the radios shown are available, all the rest are NOWHERE to be found and dealers dont know when they will be back. Rci is very hush hush on why their radio stock is so dry. (Rci makes 75% of the radios out there)

It does say in the video that half of Americas products are floating in the ocean off the coast of California waiting to be unloaded . But I did find these radios available online before I made this video , and I just added the links down in the description area to 11 of the 15 radios in this video , that are still available online . They were still available when I posted this . I can't help if they're selling out fast . So get them while you still can ... those links should help you guys out some

if by "readily available" you mean able to be purchased . I found every one of these radios online , for sale , and ready to be purchased prior to the making of this video . So they're ALL "readily available" . But if you mean more affordable , there's videos here for that too .

@@bradgarrett7790 I'm sorry , that video was uploaded on Nov. 1 , which means I made it at the end of October . Those radios were all available when I made that video . What radio are you looking for , maybe I can locate one online for you .

@@RaccoonsRadioRanch no worries.. there is a few I had not heard of like the Ranger 158 and Ranger Superior Longhorn. I know most all export radios come and go quick so you have to catch them while you can.
