How can UFC 3 not be on this list? Dubbed the alternate fighting championship. Keith Hackney won his first fight but couldnt continue into the semis. Royce Gracie won his first fight and came out for the semis only to throw in the towel. Ken Shamrock won his semis bout but faked an injury when he found out Royce threw in the towel. The finals saw Harold Howard (only had to win 1 to get to the finals) vs Steve Jenum (who was in the parking lot leaving the event when he got the call). An alternate only had to win 1 bout to win an 8 man tournament. Honorable mention to UFC 24 where Kevin Randleman slipped on a metal pipe backstage before the main event and got knocked out cold. The main event had to be cancelled. Also UFC 11 had a wild turn of events.

I worked that second Calgary event as security. The curse must have still been lingering... because as everyone was leaving the event, a guy tried to pee on me and I had to tie up his arms before he could get his fly open.

Yeah, Max would've been tossed around and absolutely smothered. If anyone had no business whatsoever being locked in the cage with Khabib, it's Max Holloway lol like that is one of the most mismatched fight. It's one thing to put a striker who has knockout power with a grappler/wrestler of Khabibs caliber because there's a chance they could at least sleep Khabib with one good shot. Max doesn't have any sort of notable ground game for one thing, but he also has no knockout power at all. He also doesn't have the strength required to have any sort of chance to even give Khabib a challenge. It would be like wrestling with a literal child, strength wise. To top it off, he's a volume striker, he relys on throwing punch after punch to overwhelm his opponent but that would not work against Khabib, like at all. He would be taken down extremely fast and suffocated while taking probably some of the worst ground and pound he's ever gotten. No challenge for the Eagle at all. That would've been sending Max to the slaughterhouse

That fight was crazy and showed Anderson Silva at his Prime. I think that was the best performance of his career. He totally dominated Forrest. Was there any other good fights that night that you remember?

Didn't get to show off his new suit at the press conference, lost his original scheduled opponent which would have given him more exposure to fans, forced to fight a lesser name who weighed in more than him and if thats not enough, loses a bullshit judges decision.

UFC 200 was also quite cursed if you considered that Jones did some dumb shit and got pulled out again and replaced by Anderson Silva and bumped that down on the card which forced Tate vs Nunes to become main event. Then Brock Lesnar tested positive for steroids causing Mark Hunt to sue the UFC.
