Dr. Berg - Don’t forget about the benefits to breastfeeding mothers. Women who are prone to clogged ducts, mastitis, and lactational abscesses benefit greatly from (sunflower) lecithin. It keeps the milk slightly thinned out so the milk doesn’t back up and cause clogged ducts. :)
Same! Felt like I was getting gallstones from eating too much protein after starting the keto diet. Upped my veggies and fats, and got the ox bile supplement. Great to hear that my egg eating also helps a lot.
I have a tablespoon of soya lecithin every day. I take it mainly for cholesterol so this is very interesting because it is in a lot of stuff. I heard 80% of soya is GMO in America. I am very careful with soya for this reason. No idea it had so many benefits including reversing a fatty liver so learned a lot from Dr Berg but I’m always learning from Dr Berg. The again, I need to eat more eggs so I’m going to try that. I know Dr Berg eats four eggs a day. Thanks so much. One of the best things to come from your tube is this channel.
I use a LOT of sunflower lecithin. Have used it all my life in almost all of my savory recipes. I've been on the keto diet for about 26 years and I am now 72 years old. I can STILL turn cartwheels on my back lawn with my grandchildren. Not simply because I use lecithin, but because I adhere to the keto diet and use nootropics and other natural health foods. But best of all is what I DON'T eat... sugars... of any kind. I'm lucky because I don't like sweet foods. Even as a child, if I tasted something sweet I would spit it out. It tasted disgusting to me and still does. There is no reason to eat anything sweet.
I was waiting 6 months before Doctors remove the hernia on my spine and those 6 months I had a huge spine pain and Doctors were pumping my Biological Body machine with Pain killers Chemical weapons and Antidepressant medications and as the result of those Chemical weapons was Crazy hospital three times. I'm Professional Engineer and I never work with my Machinery as Doctors were working with my Biological machine. It's unbelievable how western Doctors uneducated and Un-Professional. I said you many times that you are one real Professional Human Body Engineer I know for my 60 years. Thank you Dr. Berg for your hard work for all Humanity on this Planet.
I heard oatmeal has much lecithin. I knew an elderly guy once who ate oatmeal every day. He had no hardening of the arteries, great memory, no heat problems, and was active.
@@ed7519 Forget about it ! There are so many sites now rehabilitating this wonderful product of mother nature. And those pretty FEW carbs containing -> "negligeable" !!!
@@helenahandkart1857 I try to eat eggs just over easy, the yolk being as soft as I can make it. I think it just absorbs better. Maybe just my thinking. Lecithin has been a part of my diet sine 1981, now I'm 56. My good cholesterol is 3x most peoples.
I have taken Lecithin capsules for 30 years, along with capsules of a herbal liver builder/cleanser. My doctor told me that I am the only woman he knows of, who has had as many children as I have, who still has her gallbladder. It has become a habit, but sometimes I forget how many wonderful things Lecithin does. On the other hand I get headaches when I eat eggs. I can get away with eating yolks once a week, but not everyday. Eggs everyday make me feel heavy. Since a child I only ate the yoke. I found out that a biotin deficiency causes this problem with eggs. Seems strange since I have taken brewers yeast (which is Vita B) tabs for just about as many years as the Lecithin. So now I take biotin separately. Our bodies are unique. Do you have an idea on why I cannot get biotin out of a good quality brewer's yeast?
Dr. Lynch, There is a lot of talk about how bad seed oils are for us & that they cause inflammation. How does sunflower lecithin weigh up against this?
Hi Dr Berg when you talk about different supplements, vitamins, minerals etc would you also give us an idea of Recommended daily dose please? Really enjoy your informative videos & regularly share with others. Bless you.
@@thomasengel1459 Sorry but since mass production of eggs and exposure to salmonella poisoning, I would not trust eating raw. From the Mayo Clinic regarding salmonella poisoning: Raw eggs. While an egg's shell may seem to be a perfect barrier to contamination, some infected chickens produce eggs that contain salmonella before the shell is even formed. Anymore, it is not unusual for chickens to have salmonella and be acceptable for the USDA (wow how our standards have declined) and they simply advise consumers to thoroughly cook chicken and it kills the bacteria, so the eggs could easily be contaminated too and not know it.
🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍 . . . you look GREAT. And thats the proof of it . . . mother nature always wins . . . BUT: organic eggs ONLY mate ! Otherwise you have the whole bunch of "crap" the chickens are feeded with (pesticide ladden grains, antibiotics, etc.) . . .

I started taking soy lecithin every day back in the 1990's because it's an ingredient in Greens Plus, described by Sam Graci as an edible detergent (2 grams per serving) and when I stopped taking Greens Plus I kept on taking Soy Lecithin granules for years (at least 5 grams every day) and I recently switched to Sunflower Lecithin. (at least 5 grams every day) Back in 2019 I had a cardiac arrest and was dead for 20 minutes, I was defibrillated 8 times and spent the next 2 weeks in St. Boniface Hospital while they looked for a reason why that happened, they didn't come up with an answer for why it happened but they did say I was an extraordinary physical specimen beacause of how "cleaned out" I was.
Hi Dr, Berg Sorry to talk off topic - but I am so desperate and nobody has been able to help me. NIGHT SWEATS - I have to change my pajamas every hour , so my sleep is very very broken - not healthy. I have asked every doctor I know , tried natural remedies. To no avail. I had menopause early at 41 and have been on HRT . They went away. I am now 61 and am having the worst night sweating as bad. I am still on HRT. I eat keto and do IF 5 days a week and some 4 day water fasts . Please please help me. You’re SO SMART and so helpful. Massive thanks for all you do.

I use powdered sunflower lecithin to assist with digestion of fats as I've no gall bladder. I use it sparingly, as I assume it's like a seed oil. I'm guessing it's better than soy lecithin, but I would use pure egg or animal lecithin if I could source it. Possibly tmo, but a happy side benefit is stronger orgasms... (post menopausal female, here) so it definitely affects hormones somehow.
@@BIG_DRU What else causes big loads? Almost one year ago I experienced that only for a week but could not find what caused it? I guess, I was on vacation and the relief w/o job stress may caused this.
I went down a rabbit hole with this and arrived at Lecithin. I've been supplementing Choline with GPC Choline and Citicholine and I have been supplementing Trimethylglycine (Betaine). I was generally researching my supplements as I tend to do, and I learned that Choline is Betaine with an extra methyl group (Tetramethylglycine vs Trimethylglycine). I learned there is a form of Choline with a fat particle attached (Phosphatidlycholine), and that there is large amounts of Phosphatidlycholine in Lecithin. Could I just take Lecithin as a supplement and knock out possibly three other things from my supplement list?
@@TW-il4vy lecithin or eggs is contradictory some studys claim. they say its mostly for artificial cholin like in carnitin supplements or cholin tartrat. didnt figure this for lecithin nor eggs.
Hi Dr Berg. Could you do a video on SIFO (Small Intestine Fungal Overgrowth). What causes it and how to reverse it.Everyone is talking about SIBO but nobody talks about SIFO. Thanks for your excellent videos.
This is two years later, but wouldn't enteric oregano oil softgels eliminate SIFO? Since it's a strong antifungal that gets released only in the intestines due to its enteric coating.
@@panosk.1861 What milligrams? Most common in supplements is 1200 mg. I personally think that is too much at once...not sure though....just from experience.
Hi there! Dr. Berg might recommend a type of supplement but does not get into specifics- you'll have to do this research yourself. Dr. Berg's Support Team.
@@loriwoo8408 if you get 3 times that from just one egg yolk then it doesn’t sound like 1200mg is an excessive amount at all. It’s the equivalent amount of 1/3 of an egg yolk.

I watched your interview with Ghaida. I don't know how to believe it. You are very kind, this girl exaggerates her words and her psychological state, not membership, but she only wanted to attract the attention of others
Dr Berg, I have asked this question before but didn’t get a reply. I have fatty liver and numerous tiny gallstones. Should I take Bile salts or Sunflower Lecithin. Or should I take both together? Please reply as I don’t want to lose my gallbladder.
@@toasto-rama1302 I have seen three Doctors and all have told me that gallstones have no cure except surgical removal of gallbladder. Dr Berg is the only one i know who has given hope.
You could always eat 2 or 3 eggs a day and try bile salts. That way your only actually taking one supplement. I'm going to try the bile salts, I don't have stones or sludge but the Dr's think my gallbladder isn't working the way it should. But I don't hurt anywhere in my stomach. I have a burning pain in my mid spine and my ribs hurt on the right side now all the way down from that point on. I have very bad bloating and distention and no one knows what is going on with me. Was in the hospital for 2 days with ileus, it's where your intestines quit working but the Dr couldn't understand why mine wasn't working because it's not normal for people to get it unless you have had surgery on your stomach or in a car accident and the seat belt injured the intestines. So been going through this since mid 2014 to the present. Hope you find out something to help you. I don't know if you have major bloating and distention like me but if you do I know your pain. God bless 💞🙏💞
I was considering buying PS for memory problems. Is purchasing Lecithin (from sunflowers seeds) just as good - It is quite a bit cheaper in price. My Mom took Lecithin for lowering cholesterol and she was sharp as a tack well into her eighties. Hmm!!
I can t eat eggs or milk because i have prostate inflammation and the estrogen in them make it worse. Cofeine and sugar does the same. I was drinking 3 litters of milk a day and 15 eggs a few years ago with no problems.

@@tomashull9805 it's probably raw unpasteurized milk unlike what most Americans drink nowadays. I buy raw milk for that very reason and it doesn't upset my stomach like other milk products. They still contain the enzymes and probiotics that get removed in the pasteurization process.

@@drewsss49 Hi, the sunflower lecithin helps liver make bile. I’ve taken it for a few months now & it works.
