The 2018 Audi RS3 is UNBELIEVABLE! (APR Stage 1, 542HP/500TQ E85) 

Since there are a few comments asking if I meant the RS5 instead of the RS6 when I said that the "RS6 was quiet although it has one more cylinder" I can confirm that I slipped my tongue. I did in fact mean the RS5.. the RS6 sounds awesome!

I own an RS3 and It's a joy to see other people experience it ..It is truly one of the greatest engines Audi has ever made

Those 5 cyl turbo Audi engines are still to this day some of the best performing engines around

Spent my life driving nothing but American muscle. Big V8s, forced induction, and rear wheel drive. While nothing beats an American V8 sound with headers and flowmasters, attention must be paid to what European cars have been doing for years. Light weight, awd, small engines with big turbos and sick acceleration. I retired my 700hp CTS-V for a more economical and family friendly C450 AMG with a tune from Kleemann. On every front the caddy is more visceral to drive but the AMG is right there performance wise. And this Audi is next on my list to own. Inline 5 cylinder? Yes I'm ashamed of myself but not at the same time.

Thinking of getting the Stage 1 APR myself. I've seen stock going 0-60 in 3.6-3.7s before, so at first I was a little disappointed in the 3.5s, but then it kept getting better, so it's definitely worth the upgrade. The cost isn't bad either.

The gauge cluster is freakin' BONKERS! Concerning the non powered seats: I've always felt that powered seats aren't really that big of a necessity for me. I mean realistically, if you're the only driver of the car, you'll set the seating position once and may never change it for a whole year or more... maybe never.

I test drove an S3 a few weeks ago and it was a maniac. I can only imagine what an RS3 would be like.

I have a brand new one loaded as well "only way to go" I just picked up a week ago. I only have 112 miles on it so far so I have not been able to experience launch control or full throttle acceleration yet. I can not wait to break her in. APR tune, likely stage 2 with down pipe , exhaust, supporting mods in near future.

Are you really knows how to engineer a motor. It’s freaking insane that just an ECU tune can get you about 140 hp. That means that these engines are severely underrated from the factory

This is an awesome car but I would still pick a used RS7 over this one brand new any day. The RS line-up has awesome tuning capabilities but my personal preference is the RS7 over all of them. Awesome video Sir.....

Mike, FYI the stock RS3 does 0-60 in 3.6-3.7 seconds. I have one and that’s what I’ve ran consistently.

Imagine the TTRS is about 200 lbs lighter (depending on limo or hatchback) with the same engine...crazy cars for sure!

That distinct sound.. from off top.. it comes from the way the pistons stroke.. the 5v is unique in the way the pistons move.. before cylinder one finish its stroke the next piston goes then so.fourth.. almost like a wave id say.. very good engine to make power the 5v

I'd check the warrantee before using launch control that many times on someone else's car. Launch control causes a back fire with a lot of energy and pressure, creating a lot of stresses in the engine. Some Audi's limit the number of times you can use launch control before the warrantee is voided.

It's funny that you would be reviewing an RS3. This past weekend I was at a stop light and an RS8 drove up next to me! Damn hot car!! Living in Minnesota one does not see many supercars and that was a rare treat! Good review on the RS3.

This owner needs some ps4s tires. APR stage 1 e85 at 1000 ft elevation on an 80 degree day will hit 3 seconds flat. Also, all those back to back runs definitely heat soaked the stock intercooler, so the fact that you improved times each run is awesome!

I’ve driven a 2017 S3 not the RS3. The normal S3 felt pretty powerful, I couldn’t even imagine this one.

On a prep track it gets under 3 sec whit that tune and e85. Its such a nice car

Power seats do come in the car, the option for racing seats is available, which is what this car has.

Wait...What? RS6 has one more cylinder than RS3? RS6 is a V8 so 3 more cylinders....and even 2019 apparently still has V8 in it

Great review! As an Audi fan, I really love that the RS3 came to America. And while the performance is undisputably excellent, I am really disappointed with the exterior styling. It’s so bland, which is the Audi design language, compared to say an AMG which has some really exciting shapes. For $70k, it’s hard to beat if the main priority is acceleration. But I’d rather get a C43 with a AMR tune for similar money.

I'm pretty sure the powered seats are omitted to save weight and allow you to include ceramic brakes within the 69.000 price tag.

that push-up key just gets you into the door. I think Audi keeps the full power seats out of the RS3 super sports seats to keep the RS3 in the class that it's in, that is a class lower than the RS4 (Europe), RS5, RS6(Europe), RS7, and R8.

Good review, but that’s crazy money for a fancy Jetta. That radar could use a Blendmount and a hard wire kit.

What scares me about Audi Cars is the timing belt change. I don’t know about now but it used to be the case that the entire front end had to be removed to change it. That was a while ago. Is that still the case.

Excellent review and an awesome car! One of my dream cars. Only thing is I really hate how the reviewer touches the car especially at the beginning of the video, there is no way you should touch someone else's car directly on the paint (even if its your own car you shouldn't be touching it dry). In my opinion it is very disrespectful and causing scratches very easily especially on a black car. Other than that the review is good
