dont wanna be that one guy but the whole point of the blind spot monitor is that you can't look into the blind spot with a mirror. and since many old folks are unable to turn their head around enough to manually check their blindspots this might acutally be a reasonable feature

Much more people should work on their flexibility and fitness when they get older but most don't. So I agree with you that such a sensor shouldn't be necessary but in reality it might be better to have one than having a lot of older people who are taking a chance every time they open the door. In Australia and the UK the Evoque holds its value very well. Almost 60-70% over 3 years.

How reliable has it been?

@@attentionaddicts It was fine for me until I sold it in late 2019. Unfortunately, the new owner got stuck with repair bills (even after I had done full inspection on it before selling). I bought a Model 3 to replace the Rover (V Happy with the Tesla so far). ONLY buy Luxury Vehicles new.

I did not purchase the new Evoque (which I would have) because my local dealer was completely inflexible on their pricing.

@@webbedtrader I had one, the first gen facelift, and I loved it. 240'000km never let us stranded it was a Diesel, very efficient, very comfortable driving. Not a sporty suv but certainly corners better than a big range. Comfort and luxury for the price were fantastic, upgraded surround sound system was one of the best in a car.

Tell me about it. I have a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport 35T, and the infotainment is the worst I’ve seen in any vehicle. Other than that, it’s amazing!!
