had my turbo 3 for an year now. never wished it had a touchscreen infotainment system. I hate finger prints on screens and the controls are super easy to use and learn so you never look down.

Mazda really made a symbol of automotive perfection both aethestically and functionally with the new 3 !

Need to get your facts right boys. At the 6:30 mark you say that the engine has 278 hp. Its actually 227 hp and 310 ft torque on reg fuel. It does get 250hp 320 ft torque on premium fuel. Better luck next time

Not sure where you got your numbers, but the engine makes 250 HP on 93 octane (not just "premuim") and 227 HP on 87 octane. Other grades, like 89 or 91 octane will get you some where in between.

The reason they went to a torsion was not cost but driving dynamics. They did it so they could better control the ride, just like they did in the new cx50.

Have the 2021 model. You guys don't give it the Bose Audio enough credit. It's really damn good. Like you gotta go way up the price range to beat it. Also, just FYI for those that like to modify their car. This engine has lots of head room for tuning. It's still in it's infancy and with the JB4 and their CAI your over 300hp. Then with a set of nice coil overs. Just added to the pop of the car. Mine gets looks all the time.

I've had this car for just over a year (10k miles). Carves up traffic like a scalpel, does ok with gas (best MPG using cruise control), and with a better set of wheels/tires, it looks and handles even better!

these turbos are faster off the line then a golf R if it doesn't use launch control. the torque is insane.

I would love to see someone do a track build with one of these. They are clearly detuned with narrow tires and undersized brakes. Take care of all that and we'll just how detrimental the torsion beam really is.

I am considering this car somewhat. I do have a 2020 Rav 4 Hybrid limited already. I like the horsepower and torque numbers. A dealer in Southern California just got one in. The onlyy thing, is i feel like the bottom left of the infotainment screen is covered by the dash itself. Correct me if im wrong.. once you’re sitting in drivers seat. None of the screen is covered. But that part bugs me. Other than that it’s perfect. Little more room would be nice but in reality. No complaint.. i wish to have it

I just traded my 2022 Turbo AWD Premium Plus for a BMW 230i rear wheel drive coupe. Price was bout the same since the 230i was minimally optioned. After checking out the new BMW I was totally sold on the trade. The 3 is a great car and I liked it but the handling and overall build quality especially the interior of the bmw and it’s driving feel made it more of a luxury car and it’s fit and finish was better. The BMW 230i is one big step up for about the same price. MSRP for the 230i was $39,500. The MSRP for the Mazda was $36,000.

I really like Mazda styling and I'd buy one except I need a pickup truck. If they made a small to midsized truck I'd buy it.

The new Civic and this Mazda3 are the best compacts you can buy. I'm not sure why people still buy Corolla's at this point. They look like 3rd gen Mazda3's.

I think the sedan looks better than the hatch. Also, I like the white interior better than the red interior. Also, grey is still grey whether you pay more for it or not.

I still don’t understand why North American spec Mazda3s don’t get rear air vents. All Australian spec Mazda3s get rear air vents in the centre console. It obviously can be done so why not for North America. They really make a difference for rear seat passengers here in Oz.

all budget cars should be hatchback to have more flexible cargo space

It’s kind of a shame they could bump the number up to 300 hp, it’s still a great vehicle but for the price I feel like there are better out there.

278 horsepower and you seemed a lot disappointed? You AMERICAN 400+ bhp and PENTASTAR AND HEMI ENGINES are blending you over and breaking your bank. And you are starting to notice it a bit later then us in Europe but you'll get there.

I CAN'T FIND THIS DAMN CAR ANYWHERE! Car buying today is so aggravating! I've called, emailed, or visited all Mazda dealers within a 250 mile radius of me, none of them have this car or if they have one on the way it's already "pre-sold" lol. I even had a dealer tell me they don't have any in stock or any on the way anytime soon, but that even if they did...they wouldn't sell it to me because due to tight inventory they will only do business with residents who live in their area. WTF? When did that become a thing? Made me feel somehow discriminated against lol! Imagine that, showing up to make a major purchase somewhere, and them telling you sorry we can't sell to you because you don't live here. Really? Sheesh!

I really dislike the red interior, it's a deal breaker for me. Is there any other Mazda 3 model that has a manual transmission but no red interior? I greatly prefer the subdued gray tones of my 2013 Mazda 3. Also, that trunk lid looks really flimsy.

I regret buying my 2021 3 AWD Turbo. My interior rattles more than in my 02 SVT Focus. I currently have about 12,000 miles and it’s been to the dealer multiple times the last trip being for a low oil light with 2,000 miles on the oil change.

No one has done more to cause automakers to step up their game in interior design, then that of Kia/ Hyundai by recruiting European designers, that was the wisest decision for automakers everywhere. I always said there's no reason to make small ugly cars. As it takes so little to dress up Interiors. As American automakers still lag behind in interiors, as still today there are too many poorly designed plastic pigs on the road. Nice job Mazda, now go build affordable (25k) good looking EV's. I test drove one of these. Expected to love it, but I didn't. Nor did I hate it. It was just okay. Am so used to driving EcoBoost engines that I was expecting this immediate muscle car torque delivery, and this definitely does not have that. It doesn't make power until the midrange for some reason. Biggest disappointment is the steering. It doesn't have that loveable, sharp steering that my ancient Mazda does. It's numb. Went to the dealer fully expecting to buy, but left in my 05 Mazda 6, which continues to soldier along. Also, if this thing made 320hp and required premium fuel, fine. But 250hp with a forced induction 2.5l should be possible with regular. This isn't 1995. Love Mazda, but they need to do better to get me to come off $36k.
