Coming back to this after buying this board and catching a powder day the next day. It is unsinkable! Your reviews are on point, you don't bullshit your audience or blow a brand for free gear. Wishing you nothing but growth, good powder and quiet lift rides with strangers.
Avran, I want to say thank you for the reviews. I've been listening to you explaining the nuances when you carve on different decks. One day in the last few weeks I've had a breakthrough moment on nailing down my heel side carve and couldn't be more stoked. Flex it!
Great to hear this review. Would love to check out on a demo. Thanks for the explanation on the carving ability, that really helps place it amongst other boards. Porpoise Pops! 🐬👍
Hey I really appreciate your contents, I watch your videos a lot lately, and I need your advices on picking new board! After riding my assassin pro for three years (which is my only board since day one xD), I am looking for a new surfy carvey board and these wide party boards got my attention. I have done a lot of researches lately, but just can't make the decisions. I personally enjoy carving on groomers, sometimes riding on pows when there is fresh snow, and love doing some small jumps, 180, 360, etc, so the board better can pop. There are several board i am looking, on the following list, do you have advices? I appreciate a lot! List: Salomon super8/dancehaul Ride superpig K2 party platter Bataleon party wave + JONES Ultracraft
I guess the Beta is closer to The Hovercraft 1.0 then 2.0 ? But also better for occasional pow and carving. Sizewise the 165w for my 205 lbs, 6'4, and 12.5 boots ?
Sounds like the Beta apx is a bit livelier than the regular beta.. I’m curious if you rode the alpha apx and if you found it livelier than the regular alpha?
Like your reviews easy to tell you know your stuff can you please get your hands on a Nidecker Ultralight to review please would like to know if it's worth the price
Hi Arvan, I have been watching a lot of your videos and find them very helpful. I seen salomon dancehaul and telos backslash on a lot of top 5s. I was wondering if you had any experience with the salomon sick stick. It seems like the dancehaul but a bit stiffer and higher end materials. What do you think of it?
Hi, thank you for the video, I used that board last season and I like a lot but I am thinking about elevated snowboards, have you ride one of those (the shortbord 5'0"), I would like to get a feed back from someone who have used both. please let me know. thanks
Avran, thanks for everything you do, your reviews are right on the spot and makes it much easier to buy online without having to ride before you buy, unfortunately I did not listen to one of your reviews and bought the tranny finder loved the board but it was to much board for my knees and for the small local slopes I ride almost every day. I gave the board back to the store any lost 20%, my fault if I did not listen to your review. I was wondering if you would recommend this board, the Alpha apx, the mellow or the jones stratos for a powder or any other board from the nidecker of jones lineup. I ride mostly groomed runs and chopped up snow that I find after work on the slopes and when I get the chance I ride the occasional powder. I have a lib tech Dynamo and a Salomon dancehaul and want something more towards a powder/carve board.
If the TF is too much for your knees this isn't the board for you, maybe the Mellow would work but I think you might like the Thruster from Nidecker more.
Hello Avran , I hope you can help me a little further. I am 175 LBS and US 10.5 shoe size. Looking for a powder board. Currently riding NS Proto FR 162 W . It rides a bit like a Cadillac. Would like to have a more powder orientated nimble board. Thinking the Nidecker Beta apx , Nitro slash or the K2 Excavator. Which one would you recommend and in which length? Thank you very much 🙏. Klaus
how does this have better flex than the regular Beta? (which you didn't like much) I thought this had more carbon stringers? is it the "Nidactive" construction?
What are the big differences between the Beta APX and the regular beta? I like the white deck + middle design better on the Beta but I do care more about the ride.
@@AngrySnowboarder Having ridden both do you feel that a ton while riding? I've pretty much only been riding short older Libtech pow boards this season so I'm out of touch with nice new edges haha
Oh, you're fast to answer!!! Great, thank you. If I understand properly, they are totally different. The Beta APX seem to be more powder/all mountain oriented, and the Thruster more a resort cruiser/carver that can still be used in powder (but not as good as the Beta APX for this specific purpose). Please correct me if I'm wrong.@@AngrySnowboarder
Hello Avran, I really appreciate your video! A lot of information in it! I just got it but I think Ill go resort park more than mountain. Is it still works well on the resort pass or park?
Surfari, ravine select or beta apx for carves, powder and trees??? I’ve got a Lib Tech orca for powder trough the trees, NS proto fr to play all around and a Korua Dart plus for carving at higher speed but I’m looking for something different when I can’t decide which one I have to bring with me Intermediate level
Hi Angry, I am 195lbs, 10.5 boots. I got a deal on the 162… is it good enough as a dedicated powder board ? Is it to stiff for trees ? I already have a carving board. Thanks
@@ericlarochelle8180 you’re golden. You have the weight to torsionally twist it. Unless you’re riding trees so tight your ass and dick hit branches every turn, then all bets are off.
Hello, I would like to ask you for help in choosing a snowboard. I choose a snowboard between nidecker beta apx vs k2 excavator. My height is 1.78 cm and weight is 104 kg (230 lbs)., boots size 43 eu, Both snowboards would be 1.62 cm long, due to my weight. Therefore, I want to ask which one is better for powder ant tree.
Yo man, I already have a park board and I'm looking for a powder board /charger that can still rip trees, side hits and freestyle off piste (in whistler this winter). Thinking the 162cm would be good for me (6ft 3, 180lb). Had a Jones mtn twin last season which I enjoyed a lot but moving onto this. Any advice?
@@AngrySnowboarder which one fits better in the all mountain model I live in Brazil and I usually travel more in Latin America where there is not much pownder
Hey Angry, I was riding a carved out rope tow and jumped short onto a rail. Took a nice carve out of my board. I've only used ptex for small gouges, should I try and fill it myself or let my local shop guys do it?
@AngrySnowboarder considering buying this board. I'm still learning switch riding but just wondering if it will be horrible for riding switch or still decent enough..
