50/50 split custody and 80% of the expense is encumbered on the higher wage earner. Example: If the combined incomes of the parents is $80,000 (Mother $39,500 and Father, $40,500) and the prescribed child expense is $1200/month, then father must pay, 80% or $960/month to Mother. Presuming that the expense prescribed by the court ($1200/mo) is accurate, Father must then pay an additional $600/month to support his child (children) while they are with him. IN ADDITION, the healthcare insurance expense falls upon the higher wage earner. Why is the father made to pay more than 50%?? The Federal Government pays about .10 on every dollar fleeced from fathers. Making the amount "fair" would significantly reduce the money claimed from the Federal Government. Welcome to Pennsylvania.
