I chose the Ford Racing brace, great looks, great finish and clears my Boss intake manifold.

Just to put this out there, if you're using the SR Performance 4-hole Strut Tower Brace then all said here concerning this brace will be true. But the SR Performance 8-hole Strut Tower Brace that fits '05-'10 S197 GT's & V6's (shown in this video) will clear a FRPP 4.6L 3V Intake Manifold. I know cause I have this exact same brace shown above installed over my FRPP 4.6L 3V IM w\ engine sitting on OEM non-adjustable motor mounts. To be fair, it clears the FRPP intake plenum top w\ a 1\8"-1\4" gap but it does clear it w\o rubbing. If you check the customer pictures for this particular brace on AM site you will notice several customers having this brace (both the black coated & chrome versions) mounted over this same FRPP IM w\o any washers or spacers mounted between the strut tower top & the brace. It was seeing these pictures that convinced me to go w\ this 1 as I was also going to be buying & installing a FRPP IM for my '09 GT due to seeing the hard evidence that it would indeed fit over this manifold when installed. FYI.

My 2014 3.7L came with the third brace (the silver one) and with the front lowered 1.2 inches..... it handles pretty darn good for what it is.

The SR Performance Brace is solid but the powdercoat finish is a bit weak - it tends to chip away when abused I am vlogging my build on our channel and would love to have the AM Team as a subscriber 🙂 Many of the build parts including our Mishimoto Rad and our Radiator support have come from AM. Sure, American Muscle will sell you a strut tower, even when not in stock. Then refuse to refund your money....3 weeks later..they ship it..not a good business model...
