Everyone knew the dupe bugs in Diablo2 for years. They were never fixed. There were videos explaining it. What I personally thought was funny was that in D2 they fixed it so that Paladins couldn't kill members of their own party. They never bothered to fix all the other classes. It was all the same method.

Diablo 1 was an entirely different situation. It had no dedicated servers at all. The person who created the online session because the server. This means they were no filters in place. You could change any part of the code you wanted and have it sent to the other players. You could more or less do whatever the fuck you wanted in d1. As an example creating god mode in d1 required you to only edit 2 lines of code. And the only reason it was 2 lines instead of just 1 was because they had coded fire damage to work from a different place in the code than all other damage. Anyone with some pretty basic coding skills could make god mode for d1 in under 5 mins and have it work just fine in online play. Those were the wild west days of hacking.

It's easier to implement certain things than others. In most cases, you want to get something working, but often these guys don't get it working right when it's most important to do so. So, as a developer, I like the approach of getting something to work then going back. The problem is if you have bad developers OR a crunch, going back doesn't happen. It could very well be crunch, but it does take significant experience to know what could cause unintended data replication.

The stupidity is in Blizzard ever supporting such things in the first place. If they made farming for loot reasonable and fun so that 99.9% of players never feel the need or desire to ever spend real money on gear - like back in Diablo 2 - there would be no issue. Actually they had, but usually it resulted with permanent account ban. Free game == ruthless policies for abuse. If you do shit like this you will get banned for either one of: rmt, botting or bug abuse. One time they reverted 2 days of progress for ALL during first week of the league.

Well in diablo 2 it was understandable since you weren't forced to be online to play However, it makes 0 sense in diablo 4, because they have you connected straight to their servers. So even if duping is something that cannot be fully solved, being able to track and ban these people would require them to hire additional employees to look into each case... like they use to do in old WoW. Sadly they wont spend money to keep things running smoothly. They already got their money from sales, now they will coast until it burns, much like D3

When i saw on FIRST week of season 1 people bidding over 100m gold i knew this is going to be season of dupe. Few weeks ago 1b was casual offer for best items like its nothing. This is where i stopped playing season as i only wanted to get better items from trade for my second char at level 85. First one was already pimped at 100. This is comical to say the least. Also this video basically shows how they launder their gold and since it is all done on official Diablo 4 discord server it has the green light. I remember when the price of D4 gold on g2g was 0,0000015 euro / mil gold before Blizzard finally did something about this now its 0,015 euro / mil gold which means that there was a ban wave but there is still toon of gold out there because ppl who actually got the gold doing trades are not going to get banned.

you have to see it that way. The article is a BiS item, because with LUCK you can see it in 500 hours. +800 items drop certain creeps like Varshan, among other things. So if you think you can get this thing at +800, you're dreaming about the Uber items too. As long as you don't get any feature other than upgrading gear with gold. Is it worth spending all that gold you've ever farmed for BEST BOW IN GAME? Gold is worth nothing in Diablo. Apart from the fact that it is mainly spent on rerolls in the endgame, you can farm 5-7 million farms within 10-15 minutes so that you can spend it on reskilling and the like.

Duping and hacking is a part of geniuine Diablo experience. It's been there since the '90s. Diablo II is possibly the most hacked online game that ever existed. And one of the few that had clientside multiplayer mode, allowing players to go crazy with their hacked characters. Hacked vs hacked duels were fun. Someone actually found a way to kill my 127% avoid character. Something that I thought was impossible - as 100% avoid means you avoid everything.

With dupe in, the currency worth nothing. And the trade would go mostly for the respect/friend relationship, or in exchange for other items. Also it is better to dupe item if possible and to share it with your friends so then you all get banned at the same time lol

gold can be used to reroll stats on items to make then better. each reroll makes it cost more untill you hit absurd ammounts.

I've been playing diablo 2(remastered) since it came out it was my first ever diablo game I've ever played. My friend (who put me onto the diablo franchise) started playing in diablo 3. I hate 4 with all my passion and he tries everything to defend it, he 2 years younger than me but that dude be acting acting like he's god or Einstein in real life🤦‍♂️dudes stupid and he doesn't even know it. His girlfriend is born an raised in Georgia (a Mexican girl) And when he forced her to move to Los Angeles I remember him yelling over the phone when I was talking to him "no you can't go out!!!! It's dangerous out there" She 6 years older than him BTW and she already has a kid that's 4 years old, my friends 22 years old.🤦‍♂️
