Yes... we created the Bald Buddy shaver, but it is important for us to show our appreciation to the 3 other brands who created great bald shavers for your head. I have used all four of these shavers, and in this video, I show the pros and cons to each. Going bald is a big step, and making sure you take care of your head is key. These are the shavers that will keep your skull looking nice! if you have any questions, feel free to post a comment. If you have any video requests, leave us a comment with your request. We are ultimately here to make shaving easier for you... even if you choose another great brand. If you are one of these other brands and don't like what we say... catch me outside.

nice! enjoy it bro. Just make sure you keep the blades clean and store it in a dry place. If you have thicker hair, get you some good aftershave spray to help ease any shave burn or irritation. Usually takes 1-2 weeks for your scalp to get used to rotary blade movement since it's so different than others like trimmers, foil, or razors. So if you feel irritation the first 2-4 times, its just your pores trying to understand a new technique.

@@TheCutBuddyhey man, does the dipping in water cleaning method work with all of them?
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 8 месяцев назад
@ELLIOT8209 yes in general. But you have to try to dip and run during your shave as soon as you hear them begin to bog. Waiting until the end of a shave could be too late. If you wait too long to clear out, you will have to open the blades and brush debri out. Hope this helps. If you are shaving stubble you will need to do this less frequently. If you are shaving 4 mm - 1 cm hair or coarse/thick hair, you will need to clear out frequently. If hair is longer than 1 cm, you need to trim hair down before using a rotary shaver.

Great product is the Bald Buddy....I'm a satisfied customer after head-shaving with a manual razor for 11 years, and came close to sending the shaver back after using a few times immediately after receiving, even though I did like the shaver from the start. I cancelled the return after watching this clip...It says a lot about not only the quality and design of the Bald Buddy, but it says much about the class and character of the Cut Buddy company and its owner...Many thanks.

@@xWaxxy I was going to send back because I was simply so accustomed to using a manual blade after many years of shaving my head. @TheCutBuddy Nice video, bruh! I'm also a Baldheaded Brotha (by heredity) and this video hit the spot! Lol I love that you called out the 🧢 from some of the other brands, while still giving them respect during your presentation. Haha I'm just bummed I didn't see it until now. I just returned the Skullshaver I got for Christmas because it just didn't cut/shave close enough for me. (I've been using the Fusion 5 Blade for many years, so your info on razor blades was also very good. I generally don't have issues with my blades, but let's face it, $hit happens sometimes (bumps, nicks, etc.)). But...I have been in the market for a head shaver to make it less cumbersome, so I gave it a try. I like that as a Baldheaded Brotha you've actually created something that seems to be for 'our' kind of heads. ✊🏿 I'm going to place an order today and try it out! Thanks, DMack PS - As an Air Force veteran, thanks for your support!

Had recently purchased Remington RX7 and had my second head shave today. WOW, what a shaver. Really put it to the test today and shaved after a week off hair growth and it was just stunning. Such a great shave. I did get a bit of a redness on my neck the first time when I started the shave at the top and moved back but this time I started at the back with less pressure and it was so, so much better. No itch or burn. Perfect Shave. And only took about 5 minutes. (never used the turbo at all) 😊👍🏻👍🏻💯

Yeah back of neck is always sensitive because it moves/stretches constantly. The hairs on back of neck are so thin that I glide over it with my bad buddy for no more than 3-5 seconds. Then I spray on irritation aftershave treatment and keep it moisturized with aftershave butter.

Remington gave me my least favorite result because of the way the blades are designed. As for the motor. None of the shavers have a brushless motor. So these shavers will all have a 2 year life on their brush motor. The good thing is all of them should have a warranty. The shavers with the strongest motor will be your higher end skull shaver or the bald buddy. The bald buddy has the same power as the pitbull platinum. Maybe try both side by side before the 30 day free return is up.

My hair is pretty thick, so I do use a multiblade (3 bladed) disposable off brand razors (well I guess they are a brand ... "Schtick" or something close to that) , that last me about a week each . 2 reasons to use multi blade razors: a single blade (even a dual blade) wears out very quickly. Also, I've found that I pressed a single/dual blade much harder to the skull to get my slightly uneven head (got a few bumps along the years) well done . With 3 (sometimes 4, when I'm splurging -- these days nobody's splurging) blades , I've found that I'm much more relaxed and don't put on as much pressure, so my skin is much less irritated . Anyways, I'm looking into a machine like in this video because in the winter it gets a bit cold, and as I get older, it's not as much fun to take a shower each day (I shave my head with a blade in the shower) . Thanks for the vid !

Interesting you say ‘’traditionally you used to use one of these…’’ Traditionally, would refer to what came before any of these machines you show. I think a blade then razor at a traditional barber would have come way before we all tried to get a clean bald head like yours. Apart from that, a decent review. I’m convinced now. A Wahl Balding clipper will suffice Thanks.
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 5 месяцев назад
I agree with you in whole. I think I was saying traditionally from the stand point of electric rotary shaving. Before there was ergonomic rotary, there was the handle bar design to shavers because they were designed for faces not heads. Sorry for any confusion, my vocab takes me to about 7th grade and the spark notes did the rest lol. If the balding clipper works for you, use it! if i were to use a clipper or trimmer, I go with a T shaped blade trimmer for balding over a balding clipper. But thats only because I have used T-edgers my whole life. Best of luck!

Definitely use a trimmer first to get the hair down to stubble. Then use shaver for stubble. I typically shave 1-2 times a week. Anything more and your scalp may dry up faster and ultimately irritate. Get you a really good moisturizer that isn't overly thick. Also, sunscreen is super important for all bald men/women. Yeah I have coarse hair and have been using our product for 2 years now. When transferring to a rotary blade you have to give your head 3 weeks to really understand the new blade. @v3nomz349 Nobody is forcing you to change your routine here, but like anything in life, you have to give yourself time to learn how to use a tool or master a trade. Your lawn needs a few cuts to get used to a zero turn after being cut with a push mower for years. If you drive a sports car that has a manual egear, it needs some time to get used to the way you drive it. Once again, this video was not a sales video, if you are happy with your current shaver/blade then nobody is forcing you to change.

Takes me too long on my coarse hair. Depending on the weather, my pores act different. So I bump up if my hair is stiffer in colder or dryer months. These shaves take me 2-4 minutes at most.

@@TheCutBuddy I have sensitive skin too. I shave in the shower. I soak my head in hot water and lather up my head really well. My head is Silky Smooth when I'm done. I shave it every 3 day or so. If you shave every day you're going to irritate your skin/scalp.
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 19 дней назад
@rabbithole8592 totally agree. I only shave every 3-4 days. And I'll even feel my head to see if it's even ready to take on a shave. Those hot towels or showers are crucial for easier shaves. I even put some conditioner in sometimes to soften hair follicles. Have a blessed day king.

Which do you think is a more precise shaving method a straight razor or a pitbull skull shaver???
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 7 месяцев назад
Hey bud, If you are asking, which will get closer to skin. Nothing gets as close as a razor. Razors actually take a microscopic layer of skin with hair. If you are asking about efficient stroke aim and no cuts, then a rotary shaver. Hope this helps.

This is concerning the Cut Buddy. When you shave your head, can you shave so low that you don’t see the shadow of the horse shoe? Also, how muck time do you have once the led light starts blinking? Thanks
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 11 месяцев назад
Yes you can shave to bald. I didn't shave yet in this video. This video was purely to talk about the features of all shavers. We have many other videos where I show the whole shave process. Once the LED starts blinking, you typically have 3 solid shaves left. But i try to get it charged as soon as possible since all shavers do not deliver the same rpm when they are close to drained.

So if anyone can help me I need suggestions please. Basically I’m looking for a shaver that’s excellent. My barber uses a Wahl shaver and the times he does my hair bumps up a little. Therefore for the vast majority of my cuts he has to Clipper shave my head which doesn’t last as long as with using a shaver.
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 11 месяцев назад
Before investing in a shaver like ours. I recommend you try either our aftershave solution or tendskin right after you get a hair cut. Maybe force your barber to invest in tendskin. It works miracles on bumps. Our solution is great, but I dont want to make this seem like a sales post. I used tendskin back in the day and it solved my bump issue.

Having a hard time avoiding razor burn on the back of my neck. I think it’s the uncertainty that’s making me spend too much time back there. Probably need a shower mirror
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 10 месяцев назад
I used a shower mirror at first. But the neck hair is so fragile that 1 quick swipe of shaver will cut it. Avoid running it numerous times. I would also get some Tend Skin solutiom to put on your neck after you shave. It will work wonders.

What shaving cream do you recommend for your head?
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 11 месяцев назад
I use The Cut Buddy one, but it all depends. If you get irritation, find one that has cooling like Eucalyptus, Menthol, Tea Tree. If your hair is really coarse, you should use one that is foaming or conditioning. Foaming shaving cream gets you a closer shaver with a rotary shaver, but you have to clean the shaver more often by powering on the shaver in water.

I just helped my uncle with this very same issue. He was pretty mad, until after looking into the blades and explaining to him that his hair was too long to begin with. After a thorough cleaning, and a quick 101 tutorial, his Bald Buddy is working perfectly. When the blades were clogged, the Buddy would not work longer than a fraction of a second. That is by design. That protects the equipment from overloading and burning up.

Do any of them give you clipper bumps?
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy Год назад
Most of these will not give you bumps if you exfoliate before shaving and prep your head properly. Back of neck will always be a toss-up based on your daily exposure to sweat, dirt, heat. But with proper aftershave and proper hygiene, you should never have an issue. Tend skin has a great aftershave that I always recommend you have on hand no matter what you do. Wishing you luck.

What shaving creams do recommend
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 9 месяцев назад
I use the cut buddy one but its not required. The most critical part of my shaving cream is for it to be a cooling sensation formula and also a semi foamy one. You will need to water down the foam on your head before shaving. Too much foam and thickness will clog the shavers faster. Just make sure you run/power on the shavers in water when you hear them getting bogged down or full of cream. The shavers will either cut off (and blink lighrs) or slow down when they take in too much cream or hear.

Knowing you've got your own product; would you still recommend the Philipps One Blade as an alternative to the Bald Buddy?
@TheCutBuddy
@TheCutBuddy 5 месяцев назад
Nice to meet you. Philips 1 blade is a trimmer not a bald shaver. I wouldn't use it for a bald shave. But it may be good as a stubble trimmer for facial hair. I personally only use T blades for trims and mowing down heavy stubble. But a 1 blade can't compare to any of these bald shavers if you are looking for a bald feel. You need a good trimmer and also a good shaver in your arsenal.
