The biggest issue in relationships and dating are lack of communication. Always express how you feel. For the sake of your emotional health, you should always express yourself and how you feel.

The 4th mistake is so true. Whenever I meet a guy who say "lets go with the flow" or "Im looking for something casual" I don't bother to waste my time. I stand on what I want, a relationship leading to marriage and I always let the man know. I don't do casual and I'm not going to change my mind. I just walk away from that man since we are not on the same page.

I’ll share this little story of mine. I was on my way home one night, it was dusk dark and I had picked up my youngest from the sitter. I was leaving a semi formal event, so, I had on 6 inch heels, something that I don’t do often. I needed gas so I stopped at the corner gas station. I paid for my gas and noticed three very attractive young men, looking hungry, lol. My daughter was in the car, so I walked quickly out of the store and to my car? I could hear the three sets of feet behind me, I walked faster, lol. A very athletic young man made it to my car, before the others. He apologized for the chase, but not for the run, to get to me first. He said my name is “” and I would love to get to know you better. He then said I am an athlete and a champion in my field. That explained his body. He proceeded to give me everybody he knew’s phone numbers, I chuckled, HE WAS ON A BICYCLE!! But, I was not going to count him out, after all the bike, was the only reason he made it to me first. Black men are very respectful to each other, because he got their first, the others, stood back and eventually walked away. I tell you this story, because those three men, saw my confidence! But, I didn’t wait for any of them to catch up with me. The guy in the best shape, and maybe the hungriest, won the race. Now, this man respected me. He invited me to see him do his sport. Yes, I was impressed. He loved movies, and asked if he could cook me dinner. The brother could COOK TOO! 😂Perfect gentlemen, polite and he did not move too fast! Like most guys he liked the blood and gore movies and laughed out loud at me when I covered my eyes and jumped at those scenes that shocked me, lol. But, I digress. After about a month of just hanging out, he knew what I did for a living and I knew what he did. We liked each other. So, he said to me, “where do you want to see this go? I jokingly said what are you looking for? He said I want you on my arm when I have an event, and I’d like to escort you, if you will allow me to, when you need a date. I nodded, yes, and we left it there. What I heard, was he liked the way I looked and enjoyed my company. But, he wasn’t looking for anything else. So, I put my heart on lockdown. We are good friends who enjoy each other’s company. He had two friends, their relationship was a tirade. It was not going to be easy to be a part of his life, unless I signed up for the two friends, if you hear me... to hear the rest of the story, you’ll have to buy the book. But, I can tell you that he kept me at arms length, but, he forgot to take his own advice. He left town to start a career. I wished him my best. He called when his training was over, and said you are the only reason I would come back to “. “ ? Do you want me to come back? No, don’t come back for me. I was thinking he could have a fresh start, in a different environment and that would be good for him.When you set the bar in a relationship make sure you let the other person know, when you change your mind.

Not showing a man you are hurt after they pull away.. some men want a reaction out of you. Most men and women have very unhealthy dating habits. I have come across alot of men who try to squeeze emotion out of me by doing things that they feel will trigger a unhealthy response because most men view that unhealthy response as love or feelings, period. I don't have erratic responses. If you dont call me back Im not the type to spaz out. I have buisnesses to run Ive always been busy, its hard to take people serious because of the intentional mind games that people play. I try to be transparent to give what i would want in return but people are so use to toxicity. I appreciate the message i guess im here because i have not given up. If we say we Love God, and we understand that when we Truly Love Him, we will keep His commandments, we must realize, if a man wants a Christian woman, he will respect her and not open her precious gift, without marrying her! Often when a man begs to have sex, we feel sorry for them because their compassion runs so deep, and sex is very important to a sexually active man. We do not go into a relationship, to be used! Too often we find ourself in this maladaptive cycle cycle. Which makes us believe he really really loves us and we are doing something for him because he loves us so much. Of course he’s going to marry me, he loves me! But many times he does not love you, he just lust after you. He wants you physically and because this is the way he has lived his life or his adult life, you get pulled into the cycle! He will love you, or love on you for as long as you will allow him to, but the one he’s chasing is usually the one he can’t get! Pray about it!

1. Be Confident .. that make me come to you. If not find diffrent style to work for you be it clothes, etc. 2. Exude positive n feminine energy. As an established man wants to invest his life in such a person. Don't be miserable. 3. Showing n expressing interest.. compliment him, flirt make him feel good Don't use words that stroke his ego. Have a positive approach. N make him want you. Imp message: focus on attention,see if you are on the same page. " Be in the best position to get the best" and all the things will fall on place. Starting at 27:21 you described my husband. He neglected me FOR MORE THAN 6 YEARS. I never thought to play games. Instead, I talked to him. Constantly made my feelings known. Begged for him to treat me better. Finally, I became indifferent during year 8 of neglecting me. I realized that he is not the right person for me. It took me being so hurt, second guessing myself, blaming myself and still cookin and serving and being the best wife I could be but he still did nothing to make me convinced that he appreciated me and valued me. Buying things occassionally or "paying most of the bills" (as he put it) does not make up for the neglectfulness and indifference he showed me. So now, I am moving on. I think we are better off as friends anyway. He now understands and has apologized for neglecting me for so long. However, once I have been hurt to this degree (also due to his volatility and verbally abusive nature when he gets angry), there is no way I can see myself loving him like I used to before he hurt me. I am just only able to be a friendly co-parent with him. Stephan's point in this video is spot on. I am just sorry I subjected myself to so much hurtful behavior for so long.

Bottom line, be your authentic self, speak what's on your mind, be clear but don't be stuck on a situation that does not serve you. Many men play games with women. The reason is: the games almost always seem to work! He will pretend he really cares for you, wine and dine you; then, for no reason, you are aware of, he’ll pretend to be upset! Now, you thought this was a great guy, so you are wondering what happened? You may even ask him what’s wrong? He can’t tell you what is wrong, because that would mess up his game. So, there you are feeling hurt and baffled about what is, or what went wrong with, this great man? When he is ready to “hook-up” (with you) he will come back, apologizing for his previous behavior and pretending to have missed you, so much! Everything in your good conscience, says RUN! AND DON’T LOOK BACK! But, maybe he is telling you the truth...., So, you give him another chance! Now he is really going to put a little time in, so you think you made the right decision! But, low and behold, he disappears again, or starts a fake argument. Something as simple as highlights in your hair can add so much softness to you ladies. I think chasing is important. If he doesn't chase he's not that interested in you. You have to create the bond with a man while they are in the chase. U have to peak his interest by getting him to chase in the beginning of the relationship. My ex really loved me and I did too. I had many walls up because of my childhood experiences where my father was abusive to my mother. My mother brought me up basically programming me that marriage ain't any good and men are bad. So I only allowed myself to be friends with my ex. But after a few years, I couldn't take it and told him yes to being his girlfriend. I behaved very clingy, needy and overbearing in the relationship as I was afraid he doesn't want me. He shut down. I was caught up in my anxiety rather than being happy with him. He's now with another woman who he claims treats him better(according to his post) Which I'm sure he put up out of hurt. The chasing really hurt him because I was his first love. I'm now really sad for what I did and to think I've lost him but I've learnt alot. I'm in no contact because I obviously can't talk to him when he's with another woman. It's been 26 days since I told him I love him but I respect his decision.

Unhealthy men ( boys) will chase after the easy ones who give it away for free so they don’t have to settle down and they can choose from many that are throwing themselves at them. Toxic. Unhealthy. Love yourself first and you will attract the RIGHT high quality man for you! You will know which one it is when they come into your life! He will be the one who is always interested in you, wants to do things for you, and with you, wants to communicate and won’t rush you into anything you don’t want to do. Things will come easy between you. Now There are players out there, yes, so the best thing is to observe and get to know them for a good while before you fully commit yourself to them, if your gut feeling is screaming at you but you don’t know why, that’s your intuition...trust in it. Your intuition will pick up on the red flags before you realize it, especially when you LOVE YOURSELF FIRST! Set your boundaries and stand by them, know your worth and be yourself! You attract what you put out. Taking care of yourself shows that you value yourself! Those that are in same vibration as you are will be coming in. If you feel that they aren’t the one for you then don’t be afraid to let them know that you only want to be friends because you don’t fell like it’s going to work, be truthful and communicate properly. Raise your vibration to better yourself and bring more value to yourself , it will be noticed! You will draw attention without even trying to. Don’t force it.

I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years, but he pulls away when he's too stressed about his own life. I can give him the space he needs and wants, but unfortunately, he's actually not doing anything to make his own personal life better. We've talked about this, but he says he just wants to do his own thing-- in reality, he work from 6:45 AM - 12:45 PM, goes home to watch anime, RU-vid videos, play mobile games, and even the violin. When we're together he keeps saying that he's tired. He said to me that he does see a future with me, but when he just does these things, he stops communicating with me in general. He's very cold and absent, physically and emotionally. Idk what to do.. 5 years of our lives have passed and he's not making any real moves about building a life together, yet he says these things.

I feel like you already have the answers you need in your statement. It's like you want someone to talk you out of it, even though you know what you need to do. You cannot change a man. If he shows you who he is...believe him, because at this point his words should align with his actions towards the relationship. And if they don't, there's a problem there. You choose your happiness.
