I didn’t like this song at the time but now I do.The vibe and just the styling is absolutely amazing .It was too grown up for me at the time. I think this band was before their time.
Most underrated girl group ever. They debuted with three great songs, three very artistic videos and a varied album but for some odd reasons they didn’t last, nor did they have actual success. I particularly loved Tisha in this video, she was hotter than ever. Suzie always had the best vocals by far. I love them, one of my favourite girl groups ever.
Fun fact - we should have got "China Girl" instead of this as the third single but Sony, last minute, changed their minds. Everyone at the time was confused as "China Girl" got the popular vote among radio djs and label people.
Bad management and decisions. After the success of the first two singles, "China Girl" was scheduled to be next. Things changed last minute and they went with "Teardrops" (despite the girls not wanting this). The song flopped and the girls were dropped shortly after.
Thanks to pop idol and etc they always kill off black artist early with talent then at the end they want your whole community and family waving banners which black folk don't do. What normal artist launched with a send off like that?
It's kind of ironic really that the single of theirs that flopped - and indeed ended their career - was the one with the post-watershed ban slapped on it because of Tisha's striptease...
OMG these girls had a hard deal as DUMB was my anthem and this and on my knees were to advanced for there time as I never liked them back them but now love them!! so intelligent and sexy!!
@@xxxTIN0xxx I agree to a point. "Dumb" was a big hit and the album should have been released straight after that. I think of all the songs on the album, "China Girl" stood the best chance of being a success
This song was not single material, shouldn’t have been. Great vid though that suits song. Between the sheets (album track) would have been better as a 3rd single
