As a born and raised New Mexican......thank you for this episode. Northern New Mexico is our true treasure. The mountains and mora valley plains are amazing. Lonesome dove was filmed in the area. Through all of our short comings with state rankings for poverty, educations, crime... the list is endless. We have our beautiful wilderness. It keeps us here and proud to be New Mexicans! New Mexico true!

Letting Caroline in on the commentary... 😊 The campsite arrangement w/the 3 rigs and all awnings deployed... 👍🏻 The two awesome 5th Gens doing what they do... Awesome! There are a couple of things in the video that remind me why I like following you guys so much. 1. You show that you are just normal people that eat fast food every now and then. Most travel vlog people would never show that like they are too good for it. Sometimes you just need a quick convenient bite. 2. You take the requirement to video EVERY water crossing seriously. This law is not to be violated! Someday (probably soon) I will be able to make a sped up video montage of 100 crossings in 100 seconds.

Once you have lockers, you don't NEED Atrac or limited slip differential anymore. Because with locker both wheel are spinning exact same speed and 50/50 equal torque

Wow! So fun to see you guys trekking through one of our favorite places. We have done Greenie Peak several times, usually on ATV's. But, we were actually there in September with our new Honda Talon sxs. The next time you get to Red River you need to make the run up to Goose Lake. I promise you'll fall in love with it. Kevin,I’m just wondering if you’ve done a gear swap in the Runner-you carry even more weight than I,and my 18 4Runner is expedition prepped and weighs in at 6520lbs.I did a gear swap to 4.88’s with my 285/70/17’s and it has been a night a day diff.My fuel eco has gone from 13.8 average hwy,to 17-18 mpg around town and sometimes I’ll see 19 hwy.Huge improvement in acceleration and hill holding as well.Even with front and rear CBI bumpers,winch,full spare,fuel,roofrack,etc.

Yep, I mentioned it in the video but it's running 4.88's. Absolute game-changer! That 9mpg was lower than usual due to head winds and we just reset the average. Usually around 11.4 or 15 unloaded.
