I once took a fall in the supermarket that the trolleys live in, and then after picking myself and walking out of the supermarket, I took another fall in the mall that the supermarket lives in!

My GP told me years ago I was developing Lumbar spinal stenosis when he hit bone instead of space with an acupuncture needle. Ive tried to minimise by bending lower back.

This is the best explanation of SS I’ve heard. It confirms MY condition and I am now 86. Diagnosed with a ‘degenerative spine’ two decades ago, I now have your concise explanation. Thank you.

It's a horrible problem that causes me to sit for long periods which not only compounds the problem but has caused chronic thoracic, cervical & jaw pain frim leaning forward. Every time i try to address my forward head posture i get a flare up of pain & cervicogenic migraines.

I has lumbar stenosis for ten years. Got epidural’s and it worked like magic. Then the magic didn’t work. Got L3,4,and 5 fused. Now I can walk again.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me asking, I was just wondering when you had your discs fused? I've had spinal problems from the age of 20 (now mid 30's) and I was told I would need a multi level fusion but to hold out as long as possible as it was major surgery and there would be complications having it early on life. So I suffered along life, had a baby, and now in my thirties and in unbearable pain I went back to the surgeon and they are now saying they don't do multi level fusions any more which I find very hard to believe. I have had several hip operations which I believe are a result of my back problems, and I can no longer cope with this chronic pain. I am not sure if the nhs are trying to fob me off but I just wondered if yours was recent as I also need 3 levels fused. Thanks

I can agree to all these symptoms. My personal pressure free moment is when I lay face down on my bed with my arms and head hanging off the edge of the mattress! Within 5 minutes, my back is literally "cooling down". The decompression is wonderful. Just don't stay to long in that position because of the blood rush to the head😂 I hope this method works for you!

This was recommended to me by a physio who thought that it might help my tilted pelvis. Trouble is I used to find it uncomfortable and couldnt give it the 5 mins recommended.

I'm sure I've had stenosis for some time, but nothing relieves my back pain (top to bottom of spine), not even sitting. I am wondering does it also, or can stenosis cause calf, foot, and thigh cramps at night? I wake up with terrible Charlie horses in my calves and feet, and also in my thighs, but not always all of these at the same time, thankfully. Shaking my leg(s) vigorously relieves thigh cramps, but calf and foot cramps are more difficult to relieve as they are like hard knots, and in my feet will curl my toes! What causes this? It often happens after I have walked or hiked during the day. I try not to overdo walking & modest hiking to avoid these episodes. Thanks for your videos. Some of your exercises have been helpful--I'm new to your channel.

Hope it is okay to ask an off topic question here on your latest video regarding meniscus tear. In your video of 9 things not to do with a tear you didnt mention bike riding. What is your opinion on this exercise? Thank you for helping! Just found you and i am watching!

Thanks Will! Can the pain spread to the shin as well please? I have had my shin numb for the past 3 days, I thought it was due to a sciatica relapse, but all the sciatica symptoms have eased ever since, while the numbness in shin is still constant, so I am wondering if that could actually be spinal stenosis. I have a GP appointment tomorrow, but your opinion is always great to have on these topics. Thanks Will!

Why do people always limit these discussions to the lower back? I’ve got it in my ribs and the pain was far beyond unbearable for 2 months. It seems to have gotten slightly better, but I’m wondering g if it will get back to normal. The pain goes to my ribs. I couldn’t stand and I couldn’t walk.

A lot of relief can come from the mental side. Prayer, meditation, self-hypnosis and desire to improve a little each day.. You have to keep moving. Set small goals. Don't let the pain win. All the best, Tom in Dallas.
