Not particularly related to the video, but I think the concept of laziness is also very ableist and capitalistic. Like when someone has depression they are considered lazy because sometimes they can't work for the economy. But it's very nice to see your positive interpretation of this word :)

"Lazy " beauty story: My first year of college I discovered my anxiety disorder. One of the ways it was affecting me at that point was with decision paralysis. I had a hard time getting myself to shower regularly because I had so many other things I needed to do, I just wouldn't do any of them. I ended up only really able to shower like 1x/wk. And it cleared up my body acne. I realized my ance-fighting body soap was irritating my skin which was causing breakouts. I eventually cut body soap/shower gel out of my hygiene routine entirely and my skin is much happier for it

Lazy moment that I had that became efficient for my skin : not washing my face in the morning. I stopped washing it and now my skin breaks out less. I save time in the morning and my skin is much better now.

I love the glow recipe sunscreen. I use it everyday. I rinse my face pat dry, apply the watermelon glow pha + bha toner let it dry down then apply the sunscreen and it doesn’t pill. If I don’t let the toner dry completely it will. I also haven’t had problems applying makeup over the top of it. I must have a lazy skin care routine in the morning or I won’t do it. That’s why I have fallen off the skin care bandwagon so many times before. I am excited to look into some of those makeup skin care hybrids you mentioned. Those look great.

I've learned w/ Glow Recipe SPF, you have to work in sections. It doesn't seem to like being spread out & left to wait/air out oooor like thick eye or face creams (but plays well with serum & gel moisturizer). BUT apply in sections. I start at the forehead, cheeks, chin, then neck and for each section rub the product in just enough until it begins to feel faintly tacky. Then finish the section with a few testing pats. - I can even come back and apply a second layer this way. 💕💕

I don't wear makeup, but I got some sunscreen powder for reapplication when my hands aren't clean enough to rub all over my face. I sanitize a lot at work (50+ times daily) but only actually wash my hands a few times per shift. I wear regular sunscreen for my 30min commute, then I work a 12hr shift indoors, then I brush on the powder for my drive home. And yeah, I take care of my hands. Lots and lots of glycerin and silicone!

This is tangential- but I loved seeing versed use a black masculine presenting person in their marketing (was in the little clip Cass showed.) after so many years of seeing skincare as a feminine and (mostly) white industry, I love seeing brands show that skincare is for everyone!

Cassandra!! Try the The Route Party Peel!!!! I love it SO much, it has a potent blend of exfoliating acids that I don't see enough in mainstream peels- she's pricey but has done AMAZING things for my skin. Also as far as I can tell this brand is vegan and cruelty free??

It's not lazy, it's travel and time efficient. As a flight attendant double duty items are life. I need multiuse items for super hydration, hyper pigmentation treatment for sensitive/acne/rosacea with no silicone/dimethicone. Its so hard to find hydration without oils and cones 😞

Mine smelled terrible too, but I’ve heard that it’s a love hate like cilantro kinda thing :) for me it also didn’t work and irritated my skin. It now nourishes my trash can.

I have acne prone skin and I buy spot treatments since I can remember. My question is: are spot treatments just like eye creams? You buy those ingredients/actives in more expensive tiny tubes when you could find those same ingredients in full size at a more convenient prize?!?!🤔 Thank you!

In a way, yes. But they still have their place! They are usually super concentrated versions or are like Benzoyl Peroxide but you can prevent acne by using actives in your skin care! Honestly *in general* because I don’t know your skin, for a (basic cleanse, tone moisture night routine) 1. use one of the cleansers Cassandra recommends in her videos for acne prone skin (because they have active ingredients to fight acne). 2. use alternating liquid exfoliating toners every second night: Paulas choice 2% BHA and The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. This is giving you both AHA and BHA. You don’t want to over exfoliate, so why I say every second night! But they are BOTH great with acne and tone, texture etc. 3. moisturiser! So many of the cetaphil ones are great! I love the Cetaphil Face Rich Hydrating Night Cream with Hyaluronic Acid. So this will prevent pimples in the first place! BUT I highly recommend COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch’s!!! (Cheap on Amazon) I find them great at night or if I’m not leaving the house. But in the day I’m sure it’s fine to keep using your current spot treatments! If they are $$$ basic brands like Benzac (Benzoyl Peroxide) are affordable and dry out the spot. Plus tea tree oil is honestly great. Just apply with a cotton q tip! Highly concentrated, anti bacterial and it dries out the pimple. Just get 100% tea tree oil from iherb, 30 mil will last you so long. Also has many other uses in first aid - bites, stings, minor burns and cuts! In the morning I personally just rinse my face with water and use a moisturising SPF 50+ product (Cancer Council SPF 50+ Day Wear Face Matte Invisible 75ml Tube) I’m Australian so not sure if that’s easy to get but it’s lit. But Cassandra has so many videos on acne prone skin. Honestly watching her videos alone and Dr Dre has helped me a LOT with “reading the label” and understanding the ingredients over pretty bottles with names like “Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser” - sounds and looks good, but is filled with crap haha I hope that helps!!! Xx

@@sarcoopx i agree with everything except tea tree oil. It's tends to cause contact dermatitis and is a common allergen. We're probably falling for what the marketing companies want us to think, i mean i used to think it was great too but i watched Dr dray and she said it's not good. That made me curious to look up some studies and yeah it's not that good.

It’s like an Aussie staple in homes for some reason, not like a hype “natural” beauty product I used it on my pimples when I was like 13 haha (2010) I see it more like a household product not something fancy! But yeah 100% makes sense because it is strong so it certainly wouldn’t be good for a lot of skin

We do have an Aussie brand that are like “acne prone tea tree oil” based and yeah because I know it’s so strong, I’ve always questioned that brand - the idea of putting it all over my face if it was in a cleanser (rather than a spot treatment) is fkn scary - soooo drying It’s very interesting seeing the difference between local Australian common remedies vs international remedies! Like in Australia if you don’t wear SPF 50+ you’re screwed (our UV ratings in summer are usually 8-11 daily)

It's not lazy it's efficient. Lazy people I've noticed tend to cut corners where reasonable to get the same work done in a shorter period of time so they have more free time. I myself can get my job that's expected 9 hours to do in 3. This is really efficient, but people just call it lazy because you end up with so much spare time. The really lazy people are people who dont even work to get their jobs done, or offload it to other people. The same goes for products. If a product can minimise time spent doing it it's efficient. If it takes longer to do with poorer outcome it's been lazily made and is poor quality.

Such a good video!!!!! I hope these are available in Australia without $50 international shipping for a $20 product lmao. But for any Aussies out there, I STAN the Cancer Council SPF 50+ Face Day Wear BB Cream and it’s $16 AUD. I’ve used Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser $$$ and this is SO much better lol - comes in light and medium and honestly blends to perfection, like melts in hands. Plus can reapply another layer on top with a makeup brush for more coverage! I use as a primer or mix with foundation if I’m wearing it too depending what coverage I want - I have recommended to friends with different undertones and it somehow just works on them too! Or I mix light and medium if I have fake tan on etc, plus always on sale at chemist warehouse

Why keep pushing a sunscreen that doesn’t work well! I don’t know if the glow recipe sunscreen is hyped cause RU-vidrs are scared to get off the PR list of glow recipe but It’s an awful sunscreen. Do not spend your money on this!

I picked it up (w/ a discount) and have really enjoyed it so far! Like. I would go as far as to say it's been the cleanser w/ actives that has made the most visual impact. -- With it's mix of actives, I'll usually face wash/second cleanse with it (depending when I shower that day) and leave it on while I do another task, like shampoo/apply conditioner/brush teeth, so it works as a mini leave-on. While I don't use it every single day, its never given me any cause to believe it would dry me out. ((Oh! And for reference I've been dealing with/troubleshooting acne/stubborn congestion.)) AWESOME! Ill be using the undereye balm, as i've stopped buying undereyecream, but like this one you've chosen. SPF everyday, but wow, SPF75??! My current sunscreen/makeup is 50, and i feel like that one works better..! Also, does that brand always melt? try Australian Gold tinted sunscreen. light coverage by itself, but you can mix your foundation with it before applying. That combo with some powder to set it = dream team!

I personally love using the like butter mask as an overnight mask. I’ve never noticed it pilling but I also always apply it over a moisturizer and it helps dry skin so much!!

Cassandra, can you please help me find the answer to a question I've been having?! I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Nuface for my bday. I love the Omnilux red light mask, so this is my next skin-tech request for my bday gift from my mom. I want the Nuface, but I'm confused about the activator gel. I don't want to have to use their product, and wash is off after. I just want to apply some skin care, and massage it in with the nuface in the morning. Is this feasible? Do I just have to use a product with Hyaluronic Acid for the microcurrent to work? I use simple Avene products, but I could add the Neutrogena fragrance free extra dry skin gel cream if that would work with this. I've tried to find answers on google, but nothing will give me a straight answer. What product do you have to apply for this to work. I would just like to use this for a few minutes every morning. -PS: is there a limit on how much you can use the device? Is micro-currenting twice a day a bad thing? Thanks skin care fam!!!!!!! When i'm THAT lazy, i only wear sunscreen, because that's how important it is. My skin is acne-prone, but cleansing at night is my least favorite step, although i know i'll get acne by the next day, but when i'm lazy, i just don't give a fuck.

I'm a total sunscreen snob so I use and LOVE the colorscience balms for bronzer, blush and highlighter. I use them on top of two layers of mineral sunscreen and have back-ups just to be safe! Suoer quick complexion makeup with the added benefit of 50 SPF? Yes please. Also use EM cosmetic cushion foundation with spf 50. Love!
