If you don't want folks looking in your window, probably a good idea to close your drapes. I did notice the drapes were all closed across the way, which has me wondering who's looking in who's window. Lol
The same reason why I don’t understand some neighbors who never close their blinds. Mine are always semi closed, especially at night. Even when I stay at a hotel.
@HC 03 It's because having a gun in storage means it gets dirty and so they clean it so it works properly and doesn't break would you not clean you 1911 after a mounth in a dark safe, IT GETS DUSTY
I'm the so simple it's scary guy. I usually bring one gun, mags, ammo, hearing protection, targets, and maybe a sight adjustment tool. I walk out the door with one gun case and one range bag.
Absolutely, my guns are put away white glove cleaned. Take them out every 2 to 3 months amd give them a quick wipe with oil, run a snake through them and put them away. Even my non milsurp guns lol
@@donovanchan3749 Yeah, that's not gonna cut it. He's got his back towards the camera and what little of his face you can see in the mirror's reflection isn't enough to prove it's really him. For all we know, that could have been a body double.
Guilty. Only when converting my anti gun friends... I start them off with a 22lr, then move up to bigger calibres. That's really the only time I “bring the arsenal guy”
Hahaha... I have a pre-range ritual. Everything gets packed up the night before (range bag, hearing and eye pro, ammo, guns). Then I triple check what I packed. There is more to it than that but that's the jist of it.
DIRK DIGGLER That other fools agree with you makes you no less foolish. Just look at those massive crowds of protesters over the last month protesting nothing coherent. You can't be a combination of the guy who grabs all sorts of ridiculous zombie gear he'll never need and the exact opposite, which is the guy who grabs his range bag and guns and walks out the door. One is excessive and stupid, the other is efficient and streamlined.
Indoor range I am usually a "so simple it's scary" guy. For the outdoor range, I am the "Mr. Extraneous Equipment guy" and "Never enough ammo guy," and a little bit of "can't handle the pressure guy." But that is all because the nearest outdoor range is 45 minutes drive... so turning around because you forgot something or heading back because you ran out of ammo or wishing you had another gun to shoot can make the whole day feel a little wasted.
@e fred Sounds like a great range! I like the one I go to as well. The range fee is $22 for non members, but that's good for the entire day. If you leave, you can come back later, show them your receipt, and you can shoot some more.
@e fred There are about 8 different memberships at this one, the most expensive one being a Gold family membership, and I believe its $900 a year, I'd have to look into what perks that includes, because I only have one for myself.
One day at my weekly .22 sporter rifle match, one guy shows up with a small cooler. The match lasts 20 mins or so. He had what looked like a PB&J, juice pouch and apple in this cooler that could hold a lot more. Stopped mid match for a bite then finished up......still makes me smile. Range folks ALL have strange idiosyncrasies!!!
@@nopegrigsby1140 hey man they're back. Just picked up a PALLET (10,000) of wpa military classic 7.62x39 124 grain HP's. It just so happens my favorite rifle shoots ammo that only costs 18 cents a round! Packs more punch than .223 too
@@Maymae-vs1xs Bitethebullet.com has great prices on pallets of .223 and 9mm. I believe I got that pallet of 7.62x39 from ammograb.com they always have it for around .18 cents, should have some up now.
If I'm just going myself I generally take what I want to practice with, take two or three boxes and go. Clean if I need to when I get back. We If I'm going to "go shoot" with my friends in the open land, I clean everything that I plan on taking. It's like showing up with a dirty car.
If I haven't shot the gun in a long time I'll clean it quickly to get any dust off and lube it ahead of time. Just getting the gunk out of the barrel that can cause your barrel to wear out faster and lubing the action makes me feel better if the gun has been sitting for a few months. But unless you're gun has been sitting a long time or you're trying for absolute accuracy at very long range, no need to clean before hand.
Got called a safety sally once. Was just being the scary simple guy, my range bag, ammo, AR, and Glock. Minding my own business. When I turn to walk back to the shelf behind me for a few more mags and I notice some teen, turned around with what appears to be his mom taking photos of him. "Cool" I think to myself. New guy getting into this and exercising his rights. I also notice he's got his Glock pointing at the stall wall next to him, finger on the trigger. So, I brush it off and continue my pew pew. I finish up a few minutes later and head out. On my way to the door, passing the stalls, I pass the kid and his mom. She's against the bench, watching him shoot and I walk between them as he turns, with loaded gun, finger on the trigger and flags me. I stop and look at him, at this point he's looking at me and so is the muzzle of his Glock. Looking right at my dick. I say, not mean spirited at all, "Hey man, keep that thing pointed down range and finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire. I didn't come here to get shot." He's pissed, and his mom is pissed I said something. Dude then calls me a safety sally. I informed the RSO on my way out. Kid got some safety instruction from the RSO after that. Normally I'm the mind my own business kinda guy, but when it comes to that kind of thing anyone should say something.
Do you know who is worse than the freeloader. The guy who, when asked to bring some cash to pitch in shows up with $12 bucks and no ear pro. At least the freeloader goes all in.
After watching several of your videos, I am convinced that you know my husband personally. Haha. I love the instructional/education videos but these types of videos are perfect comic relief!!
All good, I know the media here in Canada are going to go full SJW against gun owners after the shooting we had this weekend and I'll probably be in my "safe space" watching a whole bunch of your videos to help deal with the ignorance lol. Keep up the good work bro
zagorakis88 i feel man. gun owners are in bad spot in canada atm. just remember their are 2 million of us. we have a voice. do not let them take away our arms
@e fred literally 300 acres in Alabama full of deer, turkey, and hogs for nothing but me to shoot whatever the hell I want don't be an ass cause you ain't got nowhere good to shoot
@e fred I just finished a 10/22 project I converted it to 17hm2 this entailed machining holes into the bolt and filling the with tungsten weights to add about 25%(or about 2oz) more weight to the stripped bolt to prevent it from blowing cases/rims with the hotter cartridge I then fitted a tungsten bolt handle and added 10% heavier recoil springs once I had all that fitted a dropped in a beyers 17hm2 bull barrel, opened up the barrel channel enough for it to fit, and then glass bedded it im currently getting just under 1/4 in groups at 75yds with the 17 gr cci vnt load which averages 2050 fps in my rifle
What I do is we take out the guns we are taking to shoot, looking for the mags and/or ammo for those guns (20 min) Then spend the next half-hour figuring out which keys go to which lock...
I was honestly not aware that it can be complicated. Just put the gun(s) in the bag, throw in a box or two of appropriate ammunition, paper targets are always in the bag, sling the bag over shoulder, spend hour on public transit, shoot for 20 minutes, get back home, break the gun(s) apart, clean them, put them back in the safe and repeat when frustrated or bored. What is there to overcomplicate here?
@@MizantropMan It's fine when the options are limited. Own a gun or two? Fine. Own 10, 30, or 50? Yeah, one could spend a while trying to decide which one(s) to bring. When I taught all the women in my family and lady friends it was a nightmare packing up every gun I owned (80 pounds) + ammunition (45 pounds per can) + protection + tube of targets. Not easy when the range's parking area is gravel. I'd rather carry body bags loaded with potatoes up 10 flights of stairs.
I can’t lie I’m a little Mr. Clean, Social Butterfly and Mr. Zombie apocalypse lol. So thanks for the video I know what I need to work on. Also love your videos bro.
Don't forget the ammo. I've gone to the range and realized that I left my ammo behind. Very frustrating since the range is about 35-45 minutes away. Had to buy ammo from the range at 40% mark up so I only bought 2. Range time was short that day.
LMAO @03:05 "It's just a tv show Darren." he walks out in full gear and snowboarding goggles lol what are snowboarding goggles going to do on the day Zombies attack lol? Classic! I found myself relating mostly to the Mr. Clean guy for some odd reason lol
High school friend of mine is in possession of a .45 long slide m1911a1 and his uncle's imi Deagle in .44 He only owns a 10/22, but it's hard for him to get ammo for it because it's a "pistol" cartridge. He's saving for a .300 win mag.
when i go to the range i typically bring 3 guns sometimes 4, one is always my glock 17 because it is my edc and i like to keep up on the practice for that. then i usually go for a semi auto rifle like my ar-15 or my sks , if i don't bring either of those it's because i brought my boomstick the mossberg 500, finally for the third it's either the mosin or my 686 competitor, and the occaisional 4th is usually the howa 1500 in 30-06, unless i decide to do all rifle day which isn't very often and i do ar-15 mosin nagant, sks and howa 1500, but i don't do that often cuz carrying 4 rifle cases is tricky and it limits me to the main range only essentially. > i get them ready the night before load up any magazines i have and put the ammo in the range bag so when range day comes i can be more relaxed about going and not feel so rushed.
Yeah I don't get it either. I put on my crappiest range clothes (yes I have designated range clothes) that are all tan or brown colored to match the dirt so I don't have to wash them very often. Smelling a little at an outdoor range is not a big deal, wind and the smell of gunpowder will mostly mask it.
I think I'm the Simple Guy, I don't understand the Scary Portion... Saying that I ended buying some property 30 miles North of my City and ever since then my Shooting Buddy has turned into the Social Butterfly/Equipment/Expert Guy or as I call it (The Noir Effect)... There is a new Face every time... -_-
yep. I'm the guy who's bag you're always digging through to get that screwdriver or alan wrench to fix that broken down whatever you brought. very funny!
Hell yeaa i got 200 acres of range for all my shooting needs im going to build an actual range so that people can come and shoot guns after they buy them since my business is a gun shop and there is no point in just doing nun with the land since i only lease 50 acres of it for farming. And yes it will be a free range.
I'm somewhere between "So simple" and "Never enough ammo." I've definitely rolled out with only 2 slim bags and 500 rounds with the intention of being walking back through my door in under 2 hours.
I'm a beginner, so I'm definitely the "So Simple" guy but I love how Zombie apocalypse guy looks like Sam from Death Stranding! That bag on his back looks like a small body 🤣🤣
all i do is grab my shotgun case and a box of ammo. i have everything i need in my bag. then i feel weird pulling out my shotgun while i get surrounded by tacticool specops wannabees. every. time.
I sorta fit in that "so simple it's scary guy. put on one of my favorite t shirts, favorite hat usually, grab as many guns that I'm willing to clean, some targets, and what ever drink and snacks i want. oh and almost forgot about a decent amount of ammo.
When I went to the range by my house for the first time, I was playing GTA and my dad calls me saying "hey, we're going to the range. You got 2 minutes". Then 2 minutes later hes at the house and I sprint out
Maybe you should start making youtube videos of guns and shooting to potentially get endorsed and get to do it for free? How many videos are you going to persistently chase down of his to express your jealousy? I ain't too mad at ya. Wish I could get it all for free too
You make 90K a year? Really? Somehow I doubt that. Your professionalism and grammar precedes you. Regardless, the first guy was right, you're doing something wrong. Of course, if you spend that salary on a nice sports car and a big, expensive house, you won't have much left for anything, much less guns and ammo. It all depends on how you spend your money. If you live frugally, you would easily be able to afford both on that salary. Something tells me you don't make that much money, if you make money at all. Sorry Charlie.
I'm the "so simple it's scary -guy" one pelican case, my AR, my remington 700, 4 AR mags, Scope for my 700, vortex for my AR, my Kimber, 3 mags for that, 4 extra glock mags, and glock on my hip. have a second bag that has my ammo, muffs, and the side pocket has a couple of tools just in case.
It sounds like he keeps his stuff sorted logically and efficiently in one case, maybe two. If he had eight different cases for all that it'd be a problem. Simplicity is less about as few things as possible and more about greater efficiency.
I LOVE these videos, all of them, everything from the 2A support and info, to the first nag, and even the car reviews...but I have to question the hats. As aTexan, you rock a Yankee hat (I’m a die hard New Yorker so I loved seeing that) AND a Red Sox hat??? Come on man...lol
