The Ordinary is my favorite brand in the world. I have used and reviewed a few of their products too. I don’t think there is another brand that can make a complete skincare routine for less than $30 over 2 months. It is to the point that I do not even look at other brands and I’m actually suspicious of brands that don’t tell you the molecules or percentages contained in their serums/cream. I’m not spending $50 on mystery cream. Great video btw!

Side note @ 6:17 BHA (aka salicylic acid) doesn't exfoliate the surface of the skin like the other acids, BHA actually penetrates and exfoliates within the pores which makes it a wonder ingredient for people with acne.

@KeepCalmAndTravel
@KeepCalmAndTravel 3 года назад
Seriously? It doesn't mean anything. I promote a product only if I use it on my skin and I've bought it with my money. Using an affiliate link doesn't cost anything to the person who buys and given that I give information and share my experiences and expertise, a little commission doesn't compromise my integrity. one time a company approached me asking to talk about their products and they offered me 5000 euros. I had to say no because these products were not something I would have tried myself. That's what is called integrity, not if someone giving useful info puts an affiliate link or not.
@KeepCalmAndTravel
@KeepCalmAndTravel 3 года назад

@@KeepCalmAndTravel Wish you did better research....medical aesthetician here....retinol is not tretinoin also not LIKE tretinoin....tretinoin is the the gold standard when in comes to vitamin A deprived active....retinol has to work twice as hard to create vitamin a in our skin to induce collagen production....its like compare a leopard to a cat....also retinol is what you get in 99% retinol products so it's not that special nor medical grade..so your comment with retinoid and retinol didn't make any sense...I'm not bashing the product because it's great for that price point but it's not the most potent...you can get other serums with 2% or even 3 % retinol...although I still prefer tretinoin....the product is definitely overhyped...that's why a lot of people dont see improvements especially when they used tretinoin before...also Deciem is owned by Estee lauder and Estee Lauder isn't cruelty free....while the company( deciem the abnormal company ) is cruelty free....those acids, actives were tested on animal at some point...that's regulations....Brandon truaxe was the founder of Deciem he died last year so hopefully we wont see a huge price increase / inflation in the future otherwise this is a great video

Retinoids are actually a class of compounds derived from vitamin A so retinol, retinal, or retinoic acid(tretinoin)are all retinoids. Retinol and retinal are more gentler Retinoids compared to a strong Retinoid like tretinoin. Which is why you need to get it prescribed from a dermatologist. Retinoids can be confusing tho so I don’t blame you😂 The video was really cool btw👌

I just wanna say I have had a literal patch on the left side of my face of black heads that I could not get to come out no matter how hard i tried! I don’t put the acid all over, I just started putting it on the area I had blackheads (also the left side of my forehead/temple) and about a week ago (~3 weeks after use) I look in the mirror and the blackheads except maybe 1 or 2 are completely gone! I had used those two together for a while and over time it broke down my skins barrier. I ended up with a huge problem of red painful rashy swollen skin that I had to ice for a week. I’m 99% sure this is the combo that did it. It’s taken around a year to get my skin barrier back up it was red and had eczema-like patches for months. My skin would peel off every few hours. I used makeup to cover the redness and every couple hours new patches would lift at the corners and I’d have to remove all the flakes with tweezers and reconceal. Even the gentlest products would make my skin absolutely burn I had to resort to only using cera ve (even that burned at first) and pat it in- even the slightest rubbing motion would feel like fire!! Beware of extreme irritation over time with these you may not notice at first it took 3 or more months before my skin freaked out. Just a psa because it was an absolute nightmare

Yeah, for anyone who sees this do not use niacinamide and vitamin c together. Use one at night and the other in the morning or alternate nights. A bunch of these products are not meant to be used together, please google interaction rules (or read their website) before just slobbing things on your face. And wear your sun screen everyday, even indoors.
