I was not playing MTG when the Kickstarter happened and I'm very bummed that I missed out on grabbing one. I'm hopeful that it becomes widely available in the future.

It should not be understated how impressive meeting the delivery estimate (one month is whatever) is. For a first time kickstarter, and a physical product? That's just... Impossible, unheard of

i remember watching the video where you announced the box, and its awesome to see someone who cares so much put so much effort into a product for the TCG community. You're the man

I got my Academic last week. I love it. My wife wants one too. So I would love for this to be made available again. Either through Kickstarter or my LGS.

I received mine yesterday, and I want to make a special thanks as a Flesh and Blood player. I'm not sure if it was intentional to make the perfect FAB box specifically but you did it. Fitting hard cases into various deck boxes was always a gamble, and they naturally never seemed right for them. But Mini-Snaps fit right into the main compartment and I can fit six (!!) in one of the drawers. It comfortable fits a whole CC deck in the main compartment with hard cases, and the foam divider it's nice and snug. Many people compared this to the Gamegenic Cards' Lair 400+, which is fair overall, but the drawers are actually just a little bit deeper, and it makes all the difference because I can now fit a whole blitz deck and commoner deck in addition to CC where I could not with the Cards' Lair (though that has so much room for more or less every deck you own in the main compartment, feels like overkill). It still has plenty of room for a ton of dice and even a small ledger. It does all of this while being roughly the same size as the great Gamegenic Stronghold, which I might just give away now that I have this one. If you prefer to put a smaller deck box inside the Academic, I was surprised to see it could fit an entire Ultimate Guard sidewinder (thanks to the removable divider, stroke of genius), which the Cards Lair 400+ could not! My only regret is I can't really tell people to go out and buy it because the time for that has passed, but here's hoping that won't always be the case. You did a great job, Prof and his hardworking team!

Didn't realize shuffle up and play came out of that kickstarter, glad my money went to use to grow the channel even further along with funding a passion project!

After some back and forth with chasing down UPS, I got my boxes yesterday and they're absolutely fantastic. I love them so much. I feel like I should have splurged on more extra stuff during the kickstarter but what I got I love. Great product. And a fantastically managed kickstarter. The fact that a project this large delivered out basically on time is a great accomplishment. There are some kickstarter projects I'm waiting on that are well over a year late, and most run months past due. This was delivered mostly on time, and with great communication each step of the way. I had zero fears or doubts while waiting. Can't wait to take these out to play, they've already been played with one group, and I'm so pleased to have nice boxes finally. EDIT: Also Shuffle Up and Play is fast becoming one of my fave RU-vid "shows". It's a lot of fun to watch. I'm glad it exists.

My wonderful amazing wife got me the deck box, the matts, all the stuff for my birthday and fathers day, it just came in the mail yesterday and i gotta say im FLOORED. I had no idea Shuffle Up and Play was a result of the funds the Kickstarter provided! It makes me wish I had been able to support it now. Shuffle Up and Play is my favorite series for Magic games content; I love watching people play formats that I struggle to play!

Shuffle Up & Play quickly became my top actual play show for MTG. I don't have time to watch many, but I manage to watch all of Shuffle Up & Play. The changing formats, the deck gimmicks, and importantly the friendly banter.

I received mine in the mail a couple weeks ago and gave my favorite Commander deck a new home. I love it, great work Professor!

This is by far the best designed deck box for pretty much any format I've seen, especially EDH. I can't imagine the hours that went into it's design and production! Amazing work all around. This would sell in every LGS in the world hands down I reckon.

Just arrived mine to Valencia, Spain! It's so great and the unpacking experience was really neat with all those little details and messages. A+ and glad to back this channel.

Our FLGS still does league, with about forty people each set playing for six weeks. This is truly perfect for my needs. Two drawers for the two decks we inevitably make, room for the max of rest of the twenty packs worth of cards in the main slot, and dice right up top for ease of choosing who goes first. Thank you, Prof!

Wish I had known about this kickstarter when it was up. Just hopped back into mtg about 5 months ago, so I didn't know this existed. I'm happy that this is out there though, I will definitely look for one asap.

So I've wanted to say a few things about the kickstarter and this seems like the best place to do so. First and foremost, love my deck boxes! They came in last week and I immediately loaded them up and took them to an LGS to play. Second, the packaging really is excellent. I was delighted opening it up and seeing the TCC emblem show through. Finally, I normally don't do live plays, but Shuffle up and Play has been great. Fun guests, diverse in both game play and background, I'm happy that I was able to contribute to it in any way. Thanks for everything you do for the community, Prof and team!

You know prof a big contributor to your success with the Kickstarter is that you communicate with us. Safety is a big part of what makes us feel comfortable buying a product. There's been a huge amount Kickstarters that just flop and never return anything to the consumers but with you we are confident we will get a top quality product without having to worry when it will arrive. My Academic came a few weeks ago (hello from Germany!) and it is, indeed, amazing. Even opening the box was a pleasure - I almost don't want to throw it out xD Also, I am so happy that we got Shuffle Up and Play out of it - it's one of my favourite MtG-gameplay shows for the sheer variety of games being played!

My 3 boxes (2 for me, 1 for my mate) arrived yesterday in Australia yesterday and it’s got an incredible quality to the finish. The stitching is immaculate, the engraved Tolarian Community College symbol on the lid is perfect, the packaging box itself to open up was an experience, I’m beyond impressed. It’s an awesome deck box, and I’m super excited for my next trip to my LGS to pull it out :)

As much as I'm genuinely heartbroken to have missed this opportunity, I'm so excited that they're finally starting to get to their homes, and into the community. Even if this is a "one and done" release, what it represents to the fanbase is something I'm going to remember for as long as I play. This production isn't something that could have ever come from a company directly, this box is a million voices screaming their love of the gathering and it warms whatever occupies the space within my person that is often referred to as a soul. If I can't get one of yours, I'll have to learn how to make my own, I'm not seeing this as "missing out" on something once in a lifetime, but instead I'm going to use the feelings of personal frustration with my financial situation to motivate me in putting the talents and skills collected in my life towards creating my own letter of dedication to the hobby. My own locus of passion. I'm kinda excited.

Love the deckbox. Have been trying it out for a couple days now and I like that I can store a bunch of cool accessories for a certain favorite deck in the top component and still have room for swap out cards, tokens, custom play pieces, and some other etsy knick knacks. Great job prof!

Professor I hope there is some way you can get Gamegenic to continue to produce your amazing card box. I'm unfortunately a new fan to the channel and was not around for the Kickstarter and am seeing your deck boxes go for up to $500 on TCGplayer. It looks like such a quality product and I hope it's something I can add to my collection one day if they can be produced again, even if it is with a price increase to cover costs it would be well with it for such a great product.

As I sit here today watching all your commander match’s from a year ago ;The plays of older cards revives memories I thought I’d lost. My cards were passed to the younger kinfolk to add to and enjoy . My Son and Nephew got me involved again in 2001 . I have recently picked back up with Arena play. I love this box. It's the ultimate tournament pack to travel light with all your essentials. My favorite little feature is how the drawers slide right into the top tray.

My Academic arrived today and I couldn't be happier with it. I know I'm critical of many aspects of this channel and how sycophantic some of your followers can be, but I'd be remiss to not also praise the good stuff. Despite the hiccups at the start that prevented me from getting an Early Bird edition despite being in time to pledge for one, I changed my pledge multiple times when new product was revealed and the Grey/Red box became the one I would have wanted even *if* I got an Early Bird originally. Now if only my friends hadn't effectively quit MTG in the time it took this product to be shipped.

I was so excited when I first saw the announcement video about the Kickstarter on the Academic. And now I'M EVEN MORE EXCITED to see it finally arrive! I can't wait to bring to all my competitions!

As a card collector, i can say i have only bought a small amount of gamegenics products to help store and organize some of my rare cards. With that said everything I have bought from them has been top tier quality. Very glad to see this collaboration!

Received mine this very morning, immediately put my most prized commander deck (sheoldred apocalypse) in it, will add a lovely monoblack pauper once I am done with it, and I'm still unsure how I will fill those amazing drawers, probably homemade tokens, and material to make more on the spot (and gamegenics stuff, like little counters they recently made) No need to say I am in loive with the design, the smell (like a brand new car) and very happy I snatched a limited one ! I got mine in a week or so ago, and it's fucking SOLID. Absolutely quality, and so happy I backed. Zero complaints about my Academic. This is the box that all other deck boxes should aspire to.

As someone who's just getting into MTG and has a brother who's been into it for years, I think it'd be worth making it a retail item. My brother's collection is why I believe this. He has storage tubs of cards that he's organized for into many decks and he's limited to card board boxes that most people already use.

I have been needing a new deck box since I’ve been playing a bunch of Yu Gi oh locals. I remember watching this video a few weeks ago. After watching your crossover with Team APS, I’ve become a fan and love how authentic your reviews are. The fact that you know what we want in deck boxes and working with such a good company, I’ve been wanting this deck box for a while now. I saw them stocked at my LCS and I will be picking one up today, finally! In taking my deck box to regionals this weekend. Two of my fellow Yu Gi Oh players have your deck box and they love them.

I just want to thank you. I have lost all of my cards twice, and swore off the game for over 12 years. I came across your videos a little under a year ago, and they got me to build, and buy (all singles!) one of my old decks and get back into the game. Since then, reconnecting with a community I thought was lost, or at least so different I wouldn't fit in, has been a huge help for me in these harder times. Your in depth and informed opinions on cost vs value has been amazing for me. Unfortunately, I didn't see you Kickstarter video until it was way to late, but I hope you can bring this amazing product to a more mass market, as I would be one of the 1st (1st reprinted?) to jump on board. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this silly, complex, frustrating, and amazing game, and all the awesome people that love it.
