They can also stop chafing in the groin region, but then there are other ways to prevent that as well. They also help to keep the muscles warm on colder days and, whilst there are other ways of achieving that, using a compression base lase is the easiest and most efficient way in terms of warmth vs amount of layers/weight.

man i wore my compressed shorts while running outside and boy can I tell the difference. They seem to help my legs contract better and hello my stride

exactly. compression gear lessens the amount of JIGGLE if not completely prevents them from occurring. jiggles are painful over time specially loose skin. thank goodness to compression gear :)

Always wear compression shorts or jammers under board shorts if you swim in the sea and intend to walk anywhere after, when board shorts dry with salt in them they become very abrasive and chafe terribly otherwise
