The Ahsoka show is a mess. I actually find it impressive how Disney has been able to gaslight so many people into thinking that it's well made. It barely develops its characters, focuses more on spectacle than the plot, and treats its audience as if their IQ is on par with a goldfish or XQC (Clip). Oh but what about this scene with Anakin Skywalker or this scene with Ezra, yes I too enjoy lightsabers going wooom, but when you peel back that layer of nostalgia you discover that much like my heart the show is incredibly hollow. But to understand what I mean, we need to look at what this show calls a plot to see where it all went wrong. Don’t you remember REEEEEva from Kenobi, Gio? She got stabbed not once in that series but twice with a lightsaber and survived both times, because Disney and the current iteration of Lucasfilm don’t have a clue.

"because they dont have a clue," or in other words (and maybe worse) because of their insistance on placing women in the forefront of new star wars media and never putting those protagonists in situations which they are criticised or reflected poorly upon, over their intent to just create a good story. Not a lib-cel-right-wing conspiracy, but Kathleen Kennedy's openly spoken agenda - you can find many interviews online.

for me, I've been working on my own story about a fantasy world a la D&D, I have the ruff draw of the 21st chapter done and am just proof reading. Working on it I have a main character and then the rest of the cast but in tears, MC whom is the main way the reader sees the world, Demi-MCs whom are the other cast like Axel who is the town that the MC's in sheriff or Marylan, an old friend and sister like team mate to the MC ect ect, lastly are the back ground who are like Lyra a bar keep that is a confidant to MC or Himmel a blacksmith. working on my stories I started to have some chapters work on the MC while also hinting or showing the other cast but then have some stories follow the others whole sail. It's a balancing act but I have to say one thing, even though I love writing MC but I also love doing stuff with Axel or Mrvona, a life goddess and sometimes I fall down a pit working on a story for them while forgetting to work on MC.

Ezra using the force as his only weapon is one of the most interesting ideas I’ve seen come out of Disney Star Wars. With nothing to do but deepen his connection to the force, it would’ve been a cool way to show some new techniques. Imagine him jumping around and blowing people away, knocking blasters out of enemy hands and telepathically throwing a boulder their way. Genuinely sad they backtracked on this concept. I guess having a unique idea that fits in perfectly to the Star Wars mythos takes a back seat to nostalgia.

I would've even wanted to see his relationship with Sabine get more focus, even hoping for a romantic relationship. Trying to make them like brother and sister is just not believable nor does it seem to be interesting. Considering how long they've known each other, it would be a nice twist for Sabine to be the one trying to flirt with Ezra this time around in a sort of role reverasal. It would make their interactions more interesting and fun to watch. Instead we get a massive confusing relationship where I feel FIloni is trying to find an excuse not to go into too much detail on it and it sorta ruins the point.

I loved Rebels. This was advertised as Rebels Season 5, but it was really more like Rebels season 5 if they took an episode, dragged out a 20 minute episode for an hour, got rid of most of the main characters, developed them without telling the viewer, and isn't nearly as good as Rebels in general.

Qui gon Jin was stab in the stomach and he didn't live. So, I am not sure how that makes sense. also, light sabers are hot enough to cut though metal. I'm pretty sure if the stab wound didn't kill her blood boiling inside of her would have, especially with how long the blade was held there.

Regarding Sabine they are not going to hold a female accountable in modern Star Wars. They aren't going to let her be vulnerable to another person. Certainly not a male. This would make her character more believable, more relatable, and get more sympathy but they don't care about that. She isn't going to confess shit she did to a male, and they certainly aren't going to have a female have romantic feelings for a male either. No romance or believable relationships exist in the Mandoverse except Din and Grogu's father-son relationship (Sabine's and Ezra's whatever live action is so fake I'm not counting it). Compelling relationships propel a lot of the plot in many shows and movies. Mando S1 and S2 were popular because of the Din-Grogu relationship driving the plot. However, by S3 it was "take your son to a warzone" and it came off as stupid. Sabine STOLE the map out of Ahsoka's secure Jedi Shuttle with red diplomatic markings hanging like a billboard on a tower in a city of millions. ONE spy would be all that's needed and a city of millions probably has at least one of those. Ahsoka's ship is EXTREMELY rare and may be the only one left in the galaxy with the red markings and config it has. Sabine put her FEELINGS of being mad at Ahsoka above respect for Ezra, Ezra's sacrifice, the galaxy, or Ahsoka. If she gave a shit about Ezra and his sacrifice she'd unlock the map on the ship. Sabine lost the map because of HER selfish action. She could have just stayed on the shuttle and unlocked it there. She is 100% responsible for starting a new galactic war that will kill billions. When she sees Ezra again, she can't even give him the tactical situation. This almost gets Ezra and the Noti killed. She again put her FEELINGS above respect for Ezra. Ezra may know a tunnel into the catacombs below the fortress or some place to hide or some safe way to approach the fortress. If Thrawn used his gunships he brought to the engagement Sabine and Ezra would be dead. If she gave a shit about Ezra she would be compelled to tell him something about what's going on. She would also show remorse for what she did. Hera was an insufferable girl boss who disrespected the senate and her chain of command. She should be fired and spend years in jail for the crimes she committed. Notice how the person Hera shit on was a "white adjacent" male (they call east Asians white adjacent). Of course, out of all the senators that would be the evil one (he was just doing his job and did nothing wrong). They also made Sabine force sensitive in the most fanbase polarizing way. Sabine is now the most talented person EVER in Star Wars. They also had Ezra not using the lightsaber so he would not shine in front of Sabine. They can't let a male do that anymore (not as the hero)... not in modern Star Wars. They had him forgetting to use the force multiple times so Sabine could save him. They had Sabine coming up with the plans even though Ezra had been on planet for 10 years and her only a day. Ezra also had 15 years' experience with the force and she had just used it barely for a day yet Sabine formed the plan on that also. They had Sabine dissing Ezra's abilities while he praised hers. They also had the man who is the heaviest of the three-riding bitch on the howler. This would be awkward as the man would have to hold on very tight with certain bits riding up her.... It would also be hard on the mount and Ezra being much bigger than Sabine would form a better base. Or they could have the women riding on one howler. Hollywood does this because the woman riding to the rear is seen as sexist to them but they fail to understand the impracticality. It just further shows how messed up Hollywood is. THIS IS WHAT THEY FOCUS ON. There were many other little ways Ezra was disrespected. They had the FORCE ITSELF absolving Sabine of her selfishness which goes against the moral code Lucas setup for the force. This is proven by Anakin's force ghost, the bird, Ahsoka's words, and an official article put out by Star Wars dot com. Sabine can be a selfish ass but if she was following HER heart then she did well. It's messed up morality. We are also told her family is so important to her but she spent 1BBY to 4ABY on Lothal guarding Ezra's planet per Rebels epilogue. She did not go to Mandalore to be with her family or to help liberate that planet. She only left Lothal one for any length of time and that was to train the first time with Ahsoka and to look for Ezra with Ahsoka. We are told Ezra is her only family left but she still has Hera, Zeb, Chopper, and Jacen who she called family. Ezra being her only family left is a RETCONN. Filoni had to make Ezra extra special to her to push the plot but couldn't make it romantic because that's not allowed in Star Wars anymore. Ezra also had a screw up with Sabine's father in S4 of Rebels indicating he still had attraction for Sabine. This was weeks at most before his sacrifice on Lothal. The WHOLE show was messed up and weird. Women were not held accountable, they did not show vulnerabilities, Sabine in particular became way overpowered (the most talented character ever in Star Wars), they had the women being stoic girl bosses, etc. This was ALL on purpose. They will not allow female characters to have romantic feelings either. Disney has drastically reduced this after the Me Too movement in 2017. DEI and ESG has taken over Lucas Films. They can't write good characters now because of the culture of Lucas Films. Thrawn was a moron, Sabine made no sense, Ahsoka absolves Sabine making her an asshole and she was just along for the ride, Ezra was castrated, Hera was turned into a bitch and horrible leader (no general would ever act like she did).

@@jackwalker4957 Well, I believe in equality for men and women but not feminism. Feminism is a movement that has lots of misandrist theories. The newest framework is Postmodern Intersectional Feminism. I've read a lot of it. Gad Saad explains one of his run ins with postmodernists video below (put name into RU-vid). Postmodernism forgoes the scientific method or believing in objective reality. "Gad Saad: The HOLY TRINITY of Postmodernism" Feminism ALWAYS HAD misandrists inside their ranks. They've always had misandrist theories. It's time society figured this out. Lookup the "Grievance studies affair" in Google. Physicists were able to get published Mein Kampf (Hitler's book of hate) written in feminist language (replacing Jew with man) into a feminist journal. You can replace "male" or "man" with "Jew" and a lot of feminist books and they read like Nazi propaganda. Postmodernist Intersectional Feminism has its origins with Modernist Critical Theory which was originally pushed by Karl Marx. Marx wrote the critique on capitalism. Marx is a cocreator of critical theories. Karl Marx pushed the oppressor-oppressed narrative of working class against upper classes made infamous with all the communist revolutions and Mao's "Great Leap Forward" (which was anything but and killed over 100 million people). He thought the working class would rise up and a communist utopia would form with equity for all. Hitler's propaganda minister Gobbels was a Communist before becoming a Nazi. They repurposed the powerful praxis and the oppressor-oppressed narrative framework into Jews oppressing non-Jews. So many Nazis were communists they the phrase "Beefcake Nazi" existed. They were brown on the outside (the early Nazis were called the brownshirts) but red (for communism) on the inside. The Postmodernist Intersectional Feminists push oppressor-oppressed narratives. Women being oppressed by men, minorities oppressed by whites, LGBTQ+ oppressed by heterosexuals. You can call it the "Victim Olympics." The word "intersectional" is all about what happens if someone has multiple victimhoods like being black and lesbian and woman. Never mind if that black lesbian woman is a billionaire. The Postmodern Intersectional Feminists believe if they have all the victim groups rising up against their oppressors they can form a utopia with equity for all. Equity or "equal outcome" is IMPOSSBILE. There is no way to form equal outcome across all arbitrary groups. Marxism came out of academia (Marx was an intellectual philosopher and lawyer). It was a bunch of theories. The praxis (the how to on spreading the ideas into the real world) were used to push Nazi, Fascist, and Communist ideologies killing a few hundred million in the 20th century and causing harm to a few billion. The SAME propaganda techniques are now used to push anti-male propaganda and to artificially prop up women. The praxis and frameworks didn't just disappear. They were updated. There is no grand conspiracy but rather a but of academics with little or no real-world experience pushing ideology and lots of useful idiots and some power-hungry people. 20 to 30% of academics in some fields are self-proclaimed Marxists. There is one word for taking an entire group of people and labeling them an oppressor group and then labeling another group of people the oppressed group. EVIL Even during slavery there were black slave owners. The first slave owner in what would become the US was black. The last slave owners in the US were Native Americans. Many white people were abolitionists and hundreds of thousands of white people died with one of their goals freeing black slaves. History is never so clean that one arbitrary group is an oppressor and another arbitrary group the oppressed. Feminist theories do paint with very broad brushes. Women were not "oppressed" like feminists think. Over 1 BILLION men have died in wars. Most of those men had no choice but to fight as they were pressed into service. Peasant men could be killed by Samurai in Japan during many periods without consequence, but women could not. There were many privileges women had that men did not. Women still do not have to sign up for the draft in the US. Many women opposed getting the vote because going back to ancient Greece one of the things someone had to do to have the right to vote was sign up for the draft. MANY women did not want to go to war nor do the civil services. Although historically most people in history did not ever have the right to vote. Men were treated like draft horses while women were treated like prize horses. Men could be lost in greater numbers by society and the next generation would be just as big as the current. Young women are the limiting factor of reproduction. Men could be hit with BIG STICK, and they often got a BIG CARROT trying to push them to do more dangerous things like go to war, go into mines, do heavy stone mason work, etc. When Hannibal invaded Italy Rome lost 20% of its male population but the women and children were kept safe inside of cities. Roman soldiers just kept replenishing and coming and coming and coming for Hannibal's armies. EVERYONE was oppressed unless you were the royal family for most of human history. Nothing was fair for pretty much anyone. Almost everything was about maximizing survival. Society and human history are way more complicated than feminists have in general ever admitted. Feminism wasn't much of a thing until during and after the Industrial Revolution. Women looked at what men went through before this and mostly said "I don't want any of that shit." Women weren't stupid back then. Even emperors and kings lived worse lives than modern middle-class people. During some periods of Rome's existence they would have three or four emperors per year because everything was so unstable. All the prior emperors would be killed. Society will not be healthy until it realizes just how much misandry and bad ideas exist in feminist theories. This isn't an attack on women but rather theories that exist in academic fields. Some of my tax dollars goes towards paying salaries for people creating these theories. Also, we need to get rid of cookie-cutter oppressor-oppressed narratives. THESE NEVER HELP ANYTHING.

It's funny they hired the actress that played Aeryn in Farscape, (a fantastic sci-fi series) and that show even had a perfect example of how Thrawn should be, in their character Scorpius. But this version of Thrawn is no where close and wishes he was anything like Scorpius!

I'll at least say that Luke was able to use Force telekinesis after _training himself_ for the 3 years between _A New Hope_ and _Empire Strikes Back_ (grabbing his lightsaber to save himself from the wampa). Of course, he's a Skywalker and all, but I don't see _that_ as so far fetched. I do really appreciate your explanation of The Force afterwards. Even in a game like The Force Unleashed (who's whole deal _is_ making The Force as OP as possible), you learn new skills over time and build up to the epic set pieces. I can't really comment on much else, cause I haven't watched this show. I just saw a G.I. Gio premier and thought I'd watch that. Actually, I just had a thought - not a very well-developed one yet, but a thought. There's a trend with live-action Star Wars shows where those based on new ideas and characters tend to be regarded as much better than those about pre-existing (nostalgic) characters; Andor and The Mandalorian versus Ahsoka, Kenobi, and Boba Fett. Do the writers think they can rely on nostalgia and spectacle and so don't put as much effort into the writing of those shows (like this video explains)? That's not something I can explore further because I'm just not interested in most of these shows, but maybe someone else will.

I've read the old Thrawn books and he was incredibly smart. This version of Thrawn is like a stupid person's attempt at pretending to be smart. He keeps screwing up and just goes "Aha. It's all part of the plan!" The smartest person alive even forgot to lock the damn doors in the tower... Ahsoka and the others loklcked the doors from the inside to slow down the zombies chasing them! I know lightsabers cut doors but it still takes time. If they aren't fast enough they'll eventually be cornered and overrun. At least Ezra wouldn't have made it onto the destroyer... Thrawn could have even bombarded the tower while they were inside. It served no further purpose at that point and would have stopped or even killed them!

One problem... they already established that Sabine isn't force sensitive. Given her lack of training combined with that fact, it makes pretty much no logical sense. It didn't feel earned.

They are great at making their own story less compelling. Light sabers dont kill , their big bad struggles with an untrained Rey , their Jedi Master acts like a forgettful old man , Luke Skywalker doesn't feel like leaving his island etc... I jumped off after Obi Wan

Sabine surviving the lightsaber does make sense if Shin know Ahsoka was coming. If she saw Sabine dead she’d angrily chase Shin. If Sabine was dying Ahsoka would rush her to hospital and Shin escapes. Show still sucked.

18:33, Before I go any further, I giggled at the microphone on a knife. 0:27, 3:35, 6:07, 11:52, 12:47, “Hollow” is this best way to describe this show. My biggest gripe with it was that even when things were happening, each episode still felt largely uneventful, tensionless and sometimes outright boring. 2:10, Like a lot of things in this show, this would only have required a minor change to not appear jarring. I know they have Bacta in this universe (which they already used in Mandalorian Season 1’s finale to immediately heal Din when he gets a fatal head injury), but I wish they showed details of how they managed to save her (such as Ahsoka getting an emergency pack of Bacta from her ship to immediately put on her gut wound and having to do it quickly before it kills her, which would maintain consistency with how Qui Gonn Gin’s gut wound took several minutes to kill him and him saying “It’s too late” implying he died before any medical attention could be given) and that it would take a little more effort for her to either recover. But instead, it focuses a bit needlessly on her doubting her capabilities while she could be focused on trying to find her friend. 16:05, While it is established the Force exists in all living beings and some simply have a higher amount of it that others that they can learn to perceive and manipulate through concentration to varying degrees, having Sabine be taught how to use the Force isn’t really all that necessary to her character. It doesn’t really change her as a person other than now having her be telekinetic (by comparison, Luke Skywalker, someone with a much higher innate Force connection, was barely able to summon his lightsaber hilt when about to be mauled to death by a wampa while Sabine can not only summon Ezra’s lightsaber but also levitate a fully grown person who is falling through the air). Compare this to her stint with the Darksaber, where having to wield it correlated with her being made to face her shame and anger over the Beskar destroying field generator she made for the Empire that they used to subjugate her planet and people. They could have primarily stuck with her primary conflict being her grief and desperation to reunite with Ezra after the lose of her people potentially endangering the entire galaxy when she gives Thrawn the means to return from Peridia. Instead, she and Ezra greet each other like they’ve only missed a few months of time together and that’s it. No emotion, no struggle, no conflict, just another action setpiece and Ahsoka needlessly wastes her time fighting Baylan when she could have kept flying to reach Sabine and Ezra to save them from the death squad Thrawn sent after them.

The lightsaber stab _could have_ worked, if they had shown her just BARELY survive after quickly getting rushed to the hospital bed (and clearly explain that she was lucky to have survived at all), and actually developed that into part of a character arc where she deals the the phycological trauma of such an injury, and learns that her training is a lot more important than she first realized. But of course... that's giving them too much credit.

Great review I liked the show better than Kenobi, but there was always something that felt off. Thanks for filling that missing piece.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video even though I only saw like half of Ahsoka episode 1. I have no interest in actually seeing it since I predicted it would be a lot of what you described. TBH, I've been very unsure about Ahsoka as a character for like a year now. I don't just mean in the Disney stuff, I'm also not positively sure if Ahsoka was ever a good character to begin with. People I talked to online gave a lot of criticisms on how Ahsoka was poorly written in TCW and how she's constantly a mary sue that Filoni keeps alive. Now I haven't rewatched TCW for over two years and I don't have a hate bone for Ahsoka right now, but it's hard for me to dismiss these criticisms after I learned how out of touch Filoni is with Star Wars and that he's still using her a cash cow. Either way, this show is clearly another dumpster fire from Disney and it's apparent Ahsoka should've had a send off a long time ago.

I liked the show but it did feel as you said hollow. Baylen was my favorite character and they didn't do anything in the final episode with him. RIP Ray Stevenson. Not to mention i'm not mad about your explanation about Sabine using the force too quickly. The feeling is mutual. Same goes for lightsaber damage=just a scratch. Downgrading the effects of lightsabers gets on my nerves.

I'm just gonna use years here, I'll leave the "BBY" and "ABY" stuff to the hardcore fans because for me(a casual SW fan) it is just plain confusing.... So in years: The Rebels epilogue takes place five years after RotJ(I'm gonna assume that it wasn't too long after the siege of Lothal because Hera was pregnant at that time, and Jacen appears to be around five during the Rebels epilogue) , which is where we see Sabine become Ahsoka's apprentice. Looks like about a year goes by when The Night of 1000 Tears happens on Mandalore, killing Sabine's family. It is most likely at this point that Ahsoka and Sabine part ways as Ahsoka feared that Sabine would turn dark. Another four years passes and that is where the Ahsoka series begins. So it looks like Ahsoka had only been training her for a year before she decided to abandon her. I don't know.... This series didn't expalin their relationship that well! If the Ahsoka series would have been about developing the relationship between Ahsoka and Sabine rather than leaving the viewers in the dark... the perhaps it would have been a better series! Also, in regards to how Sabine could force push Ezra, well I kind of have a theory that she may have had a little help, I kind of figure that perhaps Anakin's force ghost helped her out... that might be a bit of a stretch, but it makes a crap ton more sense than her using it like a pro in just a few minutes!

If this Series was Animated with the Original Actors that Voice the Character, it would’ve be Fine as Star Wars current Strength is Animated Series, but instead we got a Confusing Souless Mess I don’t understand what is happening Half of the Time, Rosario Dawson was terribly Miscast as Ahsoka Tano that I get Bored Watching Her, Sabine felt like the Main Character instead of he Master and while I have little Memory on Rebels, I’m pretty sure that’s not how the Character should be and honestly she doesn’t need the Force when she has Weapons that fit her Better and somehow she Barely Uses Them in the Series, Ezra and Thrawn were done so Dirty, the Legacy Characters Did Nothing Interesting, and the Series Lacks and Ignore the Rule, the Lore, and Rebels, I felt Empty and Disappointed that I don’t want to see another season from Disney draining the Likability Star Wars has Left and if there’s One Thing in this Franchise I want to see Retcon it’s Not Rebels but the Unholy Sequel Trilogy, Great Video as Always Gio and I hope to see you in the New Year.

I've got my own theory: Disney doesn't know how (or doesn't want to) do any space opera. But they have this immensely popular franchise, and they need to exploit it, so they keep making stories in other genres, then giving them the trappings of Star Wars stories. The Mandalorian? It was great, mostly, but it wasn't space opera; it was a western. Put the Man with No Name next to Din Djarin, and he fits right in. Ashoka? Ashoka is either a fairy tale, or a DnD campaign; pretty sword & sorcery either way. And so on, and so forth. If I need a space opera fix, I'll go re-read Schlock Mercenary; that webcomic goes hard especially towards the end when all the story lines wrap up.

The lightsaber hand off is terrible because within that same fight, Ezra picks up a weapon because turns out he's not that good at hand to hand, THEN he also builds another lightsaber, because i guess the parts are just laying around. It makes no sense. The writers just put in stuff people would like to see without a thread of logic connecting them.

I was a fan of them getting back to some bad assery with Balyan and their story... then had so much slow parts took me out to then be like okay some cool lightsaber fights. but was a bit slow.. then the world between worlds - cool. not so cool where the child was like do you hear it... was odd.. then to have another "descendant" of a jedi become this UBER powered person in seconds was like they missed out on a great time to do a flashback scene of her training with asoka - to then have her own acceptance of it. and as for the push - yeah that was BS.. if anything reverse where they guys are at and have them at the back where it would make it a shorter distance and make it be a little bit more believable. also have her fall down from using SO MUCH energy like baby yoda (aka grogu). but yes the fact so many scenes were just people not saying anything was so weak. Was it a good show no.. did it have some good scenes yes.. was the action great no it was okay.. did the writing fall flat Hell yes... I hope now that the writers are back, they want to do more quality over quantity, we will see why baylan went where he did and what ends up with the other 3 force users on that planet that seems to have a HUGE connection to all sides of the force as well as the witches. keep up the fun cheers.

Despite thinking of myself as a critical thinker, I found myself unable to get stuck up in the issues with this show and really, really enjoyed it despite its flaws. I am likely the target audience for the nostalgia baiters at DisLucasfilm as I grew up watching the clone wars. Here was the positive spin I put on it (which probably requires a background understanding/certain perspective on the behind-the-scenes drama with Filoni, KK, Iger, etc) - Sabine's sudden force use seems like a forced inclusion by Kennedy. Whether or not you agree with her stated agenda to place women in the forefront of new star wars media, its not some conspiracy but rather her simple business strategy. Kennedy is currently Filoni's boss and thus she has the final say. This show, for me, was a perfect middle ground in which Filoni was able to put his own substance in, despite having to wrestle with a boss who would never allow Ezra to display negative emotions like anger or skepticism towards our female protagonist, for example. With the way things are planned for the future, Kennedy's new Rey movie appears to be her "prove it or lose it" project to Disney's CEO - being that if like the sequels it fails financially, her job will be handed to someone else, most likely being either Jon Favreu or Filoni himself. And hinging on this big if, this could lead to a second season of Ahsoka that most fans will find much more entertaining/easier to swallow. Anyway my 2 cents xD

My point of the worst point of this show is after Sabine gave up the map. The first two episodes could have been skipped easily. The two main leads actually faced a challenge and everyone was excited at seeing an action with consequences. Then... They flat out ignore it. Seriously they could have had her get slapped by a storm trooper and hauled onto the star ship like a sack of potatoes and nothing would have changed from the overall script. The made her take one action which could be considered good or bad depending on your point of view... Value family or doom them to safeguard the galaxy... And then swept it underneath the rug where there are clear points where it felt like they had planned for it to get addressed before the writers were beaten with the stupidity stick. Can't let the females face any hardship or be seen with any possible flaw... Even if it makes them a better character! Seriously Ashoka who chose to repress her emotions showed more emotion or care about Ezra than the person who sold out the galaxy, left her master for dead, and joined the evil space empire for a taxi ride... Didn't say or do anything to ensure the script would run right past it so she looks perfect with no flaws. That's the problem with Disney Star Wars live action... By refusing to let anything happen to their female characters and insisting they are the leads... Nothing happens!

Sabine started training with the force sometime in 4 ABY. She was dumped by Ahsoka sometime around 5 ABY just after the Purge of Mandalore. This is explicitly stated in the show. She only had some months of training with Ahsoka. She then went back to Lothal from 5 ABY to 9 ABY. Yes, EVERYONE can "use the force" but how well they can use it depends on midiclorian count. Luke learned telekinesis in three years (first used in ESB) and precog in a couple minutes on the Falcon. Anakin had precog in The Phantom Menace, but we did not see him using telekinesis until ten years later in Attack of the Clones. I'm guessing it took him a year or so at the Jedi Order (he is the Chosen One being formally trained). Sabine only had MONTHS training at most with Ahsoka. She unlocks precog in episode VI of Ahsoka and telekinesis in episode VIII a DAY LATER. That is ridiculous. Sabine could have had a backstory where she trained on her own with Ezra's lightsaber (a force sensitive and very expensive device with its kypercrystal) for ten years and unlocked precog on her own. That would be very reasonable and make her like the guy in Rogue One. However, she should never be anywhere near as powerful as Ezra because M count tells us maximum potential. However, she pushed Ezra almost as far as Ezra pushed himself. Sabine could have an M count of 5,000 to 8,000 which is below Jedi level but still 2 to 3x average levels. I'd guess that Ezra is something around 15,000 to 18,000. Sabine was also possessed by Night Sisters which is green mist. That green mist per The Clone Wars IS midiclorians. This happened in S3 of Rebels and could have boosted her a bit. If she has the level I think is possible I can see her unlocking precog with years of training and eventually telekinesis. Sabine did NOT need Ahsoka for the type of training she did. Sabine saw Kanan and Ezra do that training for years. The dialogue and training scenes were stupid. Ahsoka should have been focused on pinging Sabine through the force, teaching her meditation, etc and Sabine should have already had precog and lightsaber skills. It's not everyone can be Jedi level. Everyone can train with the force. However, most will only get to the level of the guy in Rogue One with decades of training. SOME will get to Jedi level basics with a decade of training. Jedi only took candidates that would train up on the basics in a few years.

Making me reflect on my interest and having played the various SW RPG games ranging from West End Games up to Fantasy Flight... ANY character can become Force Sensitive. Depending on the game system this is something as simple as taking a feat in the D20 system to spending a certain amount of points (system dependent) and ... VOILA! You too can wield the force like a drunken master, or plot armored twat. Your point though of an extreme lack of character development is probably more of an issue than Sabine or that black chick getting gutted with a lightsaber which includes going through the spine, let's not kid ourselves. So yes, your logic on Sabine is not wrong, as much as I hate to agree with you.

I love Rosario Dawson, but she was just too old for this part. Rebels made it seem like she was close in age to Sabine. If she was etter at the fight scenes it wouldn't be a big deal. I think it as much about the director and stunt choreography. They referenced Rebels way too much. Many adults will watch .I've action but not animated shows.

Because they've forgotten how to write interesting storylines and characters with development that made sense, and it's no wonder The Mandalorian Season 3 fell off a cliff with the audience, the worst rated season on Rotten Tomatoes of that show's entire run so far and the worst season of Star Wars television ever! And Ahsoka sucks, too, with it's lazy writing and overreliance on nostalgia and different already established characters to piggy back off of these things that fans love.....AGAIN! This is why there's no hope for Star Wars to ever recover after what they've done here to disrespect the fans' intelligence once again in order to subvert expectations, and I don't character anymore! I'm done with any new Star Wars content! #RIPStarWars!

Thrawn was the only good part of the show. As for his decisions, twelve or thirteen years on Peridea, in a different galaxy, likely makes it a bit hard to kill one of the few people that's from there too. I just wish we got to see more of his command staff, Hammerly, Lomar, and Pyrondi. As Thrawn's senior staff, he'd place an emphasis on their skills in combat, so it'd make sense they and much of the surviving crewmen would have skills on par with most of the troopers, which the producers did terribly at showing.

Thrawn has the help of the local Nightsister population who, as shown in the show itself, are fully capable of locating and pinpointing Force users (not to mention the lifesign scanners that ships in Star Wars have, dozens of gunships, and Thrawns alleged "genius intellect" to narrow things down). Practically all of Thrawns decisions in this show were stupid, and all he did was cope as "part of the plan".

If you actually enjoyed Rebels, you'll hate all of these characters. It's almost as if they forgot they already had this entire Sabine "I don't want to be a jedi" bs in the animated show. I can't even begin to explain how disney manages to hire directors who've never even watched star wars. They are getting payed to add on to a already developed franchise, there is so little that they have to do that I doubt they spent more than a hour witting the entire show. If your a writer and you can't think of a decent story for such a vaste universe full of aliens, magic, and the force sensetive children, then you've failed as a writer. Also let me ruin the entire show for you, Ezra would be dead, he was barely able to get away with thawn at the end of Rebels where he was about to get rushed by storm troopers(Ezra was shot, like this guy was killed off how could he be alive). Answer how tf in any case would Ezra be able to escape thawn after barely trapping the guy to begin with. either Thawn is a idiot and a injured ezra is better than the worlds best tactician, or Thawn intentionally left his greatest threat alive.

@@laisphinto6372 thats true, it also doesn't really make sense that sabine would be able to learn the force in only a few days. it's also kinda hard to tell how long it's been since the end of the animated show as well as how long sabine spent training before Ahsoka gave up on her. Technically everyone in the star wars universe could use the force with enough training, but it makes no sense for someone like Sabine to be able to master the force as fast a Luke Skywalker who was being trained by master Yoda. normally you could say Ahsoka helped but throughout the show she barely does anything to help train her.
