Hi Matthias, thank you for the information, I contacted my dealship and you are quite correct the car I ordered has 3.5 SW so I rejected the car as I was lead to believe it had 4.0 SW and this was confirmed by Skoda UK, very bad when they don't know their own car specification.
I started watching your videos since past weeks and fund them always very informative. Would it be possible to make a video about the integration with the myskoda app ? Maybe you already did one in the past?
Not a Tesla level, but a huge improvement over the old version. Finally very usable! Is the 210kW motor powerful enough? I like the steering wheel Skoda is using. Real buttons and scroll "wheels" with press are the best. Design is also great. I just don't like the shining front mask. Sadly, you can't option without it in any high spec version. Anyway, RWD Sportline 85 or RWD L&K 85 would be my choice.
Thanks for this information. Some questions, I Wonder how the infotainment works if driver leaves the car and passengers remain in car. Does the infotainment stay on? What about if the keyfob and passengers remain in car but driver steps out Does the infotainment and clima stay on? Is there a "one-button" access to turn off lane-assist? And if lane-assist is set off does the setting remain when setting car off and on again? Does the MySkoda app work More reliable with this new hw/sw?
I just wonder how long all these software goodies will be supported. Not only skoda, but also the other brands. A smartphone is replaced after a few years, but a car is used a bit longer.
I think the cockpit display is more mature and refined in 3.1 than in 4.0. I actually like the interface on the enyaq, 4.0 feels like it's more vw/audi in style which I'm not a fan of.
I have heard the battery pre-heating optimization in the Enyaq 2024 is only applicable to the iv80 and above and not the iv 60, can you clarify! thanks
I thought I would share what happened today on speaking to SKODA UK about my new "Enyaq iv60 Edition" arriving in 3 days time it seems when I spoke to them they did not know what software number would be on my car even when I gave the VIN number their attitude was the software changes from day to day, this to me this was just an excuse. My dealership said I would have the latest version 4.0 clearly not, I am very disappointed with Skoda.
Thanks for the video. Did I hear you say that this car will only show their ‘own friendly charging stations’ and not those of the competition (Fastnet)? Isn’t that wrong? I mean, as a driver, would I not want to see ALL charging stations on my route? Or did I hear this incorrectly…
The car will also show the competition but you do not have a filter for them. So you can only filter for their own stations but if you do not use the filters it will show all brands
@@Speicherelektrisiert That is good news, I was also worried that it would not show all brands. Ordered my (well not really mine, it is a lease company car) iv85. Delivery is expected end of August. Until that time it is burning dead plants with the Skoda Superb.
It's not that much distorted in reality. Might be due to the lens i used for records that the effect is even stronger. The reason i think is to give you an ever greater field of view. You get used to it in an instant i would say
Thanks for the answer. I think we’ll go for an Enyaq 85x L&K in a few months. Seems to me that the MY2024 beats the model Y in terms of value for money, ride quality, options, etc. Cheers from Züri!
I have read somewhere about a software update that happened while the car is driven. The guy said that he has stopped on a red light, but it rebooted and there was some software update. As I understand these cars are not to be driven while updating. Is it possible to set updates to happen when I choose? If such a thing happens when I am in a busy intersection, in the busy city streets, stopping there for longer isn't a good thing. So can you set it up to just notify you that there is an update, but to choose when to install it?
Thanks again for this video Matias, even if I probably never get version 4 in my iV80, or maybe with an hardware update by changing the whole display, who knows... Besides, does now the route planner take into account the consumption of the car regarding the type of road, weather or traffic? This was a major failure in ME3.x, that force to ignore it.
I did not had enough time for a longer testdrive to check if this is now taken into account...but i will do as soon as i get my hands on a Modelyear 24 for a bit longer
Excellent video as always! Thank you. Waiting on my 85X Sportline Plus ... does the car remember which mode you last drove with or does it always go to Normal each time?
Thank you for an interesting video. Question, do you know if seat heating and seat ventilation (only L&K) can be activitied simultanously? ID7 can do this, so it is possible on the platform, at least.
Sadly i cannot give you the answer since they gave me the RS for driving and not the L&K. I only saw the L&K for a couple of minutes to do some quick shots from the interior :(
27:42 I am sorry but this is not a proof for anything. The valid test would include another person sitting in the car and asking the question. If you are the only person, and she knows that (seat sensors) it's obvious she will turn the driver seat.
It is standard as the car has an airconditioner, that is a heat pump. Most airconditioners at home work both ways, so they can cool and heat. Why this is not the case in a car, I have no idea. But you are right, this being optional, and an expensive option as well sucks. So depending on the range that you gain it might not be worth the spending. Head pumps are not very efficient when it is really cold outside
Mathias, Congratulations, great video. I have a 2022 Enyaq IV 60, I think Skoda's software policy should be changed, you're absolutely right, sustainability also lies in the product's longevity. The general quality of VW products is quite low, I bought the Enyaq because it has a much higher quality level, but I feel that the overall product starts to look quite dated at just 2 years old because of the software. tHIS IS TEH PROBLEM : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VKvLM6MS6WI.html
I think it's only beneficial when it turns chilly and extends the range of the car it also allows the car to charge quicker as it warms the battery before charging in winter
