For clarification, I think these are jot deflated, but the women’s version of the boots. As with the Kiss heels, Rick has the big chunky ones for men as of the last few season and the women’s versions have a slimmer and taller heel. Same with this, the men’s are bigger for men and in order to accomodate a woman wearing it, it’s not as puffy. Also, the men’s are some sort of rubber whereas the women’s are leather. Maybe he realized leather is more durable and easier to work with, or we guys will have a harder time wearing these lol.
Wth is wrong with these comments? Do people think that they can shit on a person's art, just because it's "not wearable" or "scary"? We don't want to see people wearing these because they're not practical and they're meant to be the designer's artistic expression, just like paintings or pieces of music. Would you ask a painter to make his paintings simpler for the public to understand and analyze them? No, because that's not the purpose of art. It's not meant to be commercialized, mass-produced, unoriginal shit. Any form of art, including fashion, should be allowed to manifest itself in unique and avant-garde pieces.
This is Rick Owen's, he is an abstract designer. This is not made for every day clothing. Goggle him. He is to clothing design as Salvador Dali' was to painting. 😊
I mean tbh, this stuff is really on the mild side and the pieces that are a little more can definitely be dressed down and made more wearable. Maybe I’ve seen too much couture but this collection really isn’t that crazy.
@@Angel-ts8rc I somehow agree. I've seen better, though I liked this show. I'm just addressing many comments that I have been seeing, of people who think that haute couture must look like H&M and be wearable.
damn what a totally imaginative man I have never heard of rick owens but i did see those inflatable boots recently and damn I know what its like to get into rubber and it isnt the most pleasent experiences to get on or while wearing damn the sweat I had to look him up saw his store and was like wow so beautiful if only I was rich i would buy some of these items in a heart beat
His Q&A with iD randomly gave me all the fodder to fall in love again. The mens show always looks like torture for the models but this was shockingly sweet; apt word choice. Dystopian Oblongs Call of Cthulu 😌
