I wish you could put together a "Good, Better, Best" list of various things including proteins, fats, carbs, supplements, etc. while doing videos. Even an "Avoid altogether" and "Limit" for the bad things to make a 5 tier listing would be great. Like, I know grass-fed, grass-finished beef is best, just like pasture-raised chicken eggs. The problem is that as an average American with limited budget, I want to do what I can but just cant afford all the "best" things for a healthy diet, but sometimes these videos give the impression that anything other than "best" is straight up bad for you. It can be disheartening trying to do the best you can on limited funds while hearing "avoid this, avoid that, these eggs that cost 5x as much are what you need."

Dragon's blood sap has the highest known ORAC value of 2,897,110 giving it 6,000 times the antioxidant power of vitamin C, 800 times that of CoQ10, and 550 times that of vitamin E. Just as a comparison, Blueberries have an ORAC of 4,669 and turmeric 127,068. The second highest is Astaxanthin with an ORAC value of 2,822,200.

This stuff is AMAZING. My astigmatism and eyesight improved while taking this. 10 years of EYE DR. visits with my eyes getting worse, and suddenly they got better. My skin started glowing, my hair started growing faster....... IT ALSO made my blood thinner. I was only taking 6mg and had to drop it down to 4. I would recommend for anyone who takes it, to prick their finger beforehand, and do regular finger pricks while taking it, or have their Dr. check. I can visibly see if my blood starts to thin out. This might not be a thing for everyone, but worth checking.

My hunch would be that getting astaxanthin in your foods like shell fish is superior to isolating it in supplement form. Nature has a way of combining the right nutrients in the right ratios that work synergistically with compounds like this.
@ricardorodriguesrr18
@ricardorodriguesrr18 8 месяцев назад
Not always the case you can't really get much of astaxanthin through eating shellfish and such , that's why a supplement is important.
@coffeetalk924
@coffeetalk924 8 месяцев назад
@ricardorodriguesrr18 a perfect example is DHA in fishoil caps. Research has proven that eating the whole fish over merely popping pills improves it's potency and efficacy in the body. A few hours later KABLAAM! I just felt this incredible sense of clarity and contentment flood over me. Hard to describe really. I' ve a question. Since astaxanthin is very potent as antioxidant, if we are tryng to build muscles, is it ok to take it, or we should avoid it because too much antioxidants , especially near training, can stop some muscle adaptations because of their antinfiammatory properties.

Just watched a video saying Astaxanthin blunts the positive effects of exercising.
@monnoo8221
@monnoo8221 3 месяца назад
source? high intensity exercising creates a lot of ROS, many sports professionals easily look 10..15y older at the age of 30..35. Most of the positive effects of sports is not related to ROS. it is increased VO2max due to stronger heart, NO production in the vessels, increased stem cell mobility due to the allosteric effects of the working muscle cells. Yes, you can take too much, as of everything else, including water. And cycling on and off helps simulate natural conditions. Antioxidant capabilities are fine, but what astaxanthin really sets apart is its activation of foxo3 genes. See the episodes on this channel about that

Men need to be very careful about supplementation with Astaxanthin. It will significantly lower DHT, leading to poor libido, brain fog, and erectile issues. It is not as potent as a prostate/hair drug like finasterade, which there are lawsuits over, but it CAN cause similar issues. If I was a younger man I would stay far away from astaxanthin except as a small portion in foods.
