Hi Neil, So we made the C-Clamp as part of the kits because we wanted to keep the entry-level price down as low as we possibly could. They are a fraction of the price and don't cost us any labor cause we can just buy them. The weighted bases are a whole different animal for us to deal with. They are very convenient to use, but very inconvenient for us to produce, ship, and be able to provide them to dealers at a price they can turn around and re-sell. I expect there is going to be a learning curve dealing with the weighted bases, because so far they have been very popular. I'd say there is also a good chance that we might make another set of kits where we leave the C-Clamp out and include the weighted base instead. But if we do that, those kits will be more expensive. Appreciate the feedback.

Makes perfect sense commercially and I'm sure I could work a way to use clamps with some silicon pads, I'm just a bit set in my ways with setup and portibility of the suction base on my current Edge Pro - I have it all in a kit bag with an anti-skid mat and a large low sided plastic tray so nothing moves and water + slurry is trapped in the tray. It's a real credit to your workmanship that my Edge Pro is still going strong after nearly 10 years of use. Total loyalty here and I still want a BevelTech!
