I was delighted to participate in the African American Film Critic Association virtual roundtable for upcoming film The American Society of Magical Negroes to be released March 15, 2024.
It was a lively discussion with the writer/director Kobi Libii, Justice Smith, David Alan Grier, An-Li Bogan and Nicole Byer chatting about the comedy satire poking fun at the Magical Negro character often seen in American entertainment.
