My wife and I came here on our honeymoon in 2017. Wonderful amphitheatre. We have a little model of the place made from marble underneath our TV. I’ve never really thought about this until I’ve watched your video and it’s full of screaming kids and all the rest of it. But we actually had the place to ourselves. Don’t know how we got that? But it was just us there. And that made it even more special.

thanks for this video! I was there in 2011. Most of the ruiens are still not excavated! You shall have shown the impressive aquaeduct as well! It brought water across the valley to the hill of Aspendos.

I passed through this area fifty years ago but had no idea what I missed. Solo traveller with only a twenty page leaflet to guide me to Australia. I missed so much.

There is distinct lack of this type of public gathering structures in Far East Asia in ancient times. The authorities were very uncomfortable with people gathering in great numbers.
