Yes, his fan base is 12 year olds. Specifically ones that think he’s “just the coolest!” That will (hopefully) grow out of it in a couple years. It’s really sad how many people think “sales = quality”. If that were true, The Archies would be a bigger name than Jimi Hendrix. One can only hope 20 years down the road that MGK is a footnote forgotten in time in favor of much better artists such as Spanish Love Songs.

That’s the biggest reason I loathe most fanbases of bigger artists. Sales don’t mean jack; it’s all about the quality of the record. You bringing sales up means you don’t have a valid argument.

Eh, I actually like the Sonic movies a lot, but I guess compared to other video game movies that have completely bastardized their source material, it's not much of a competition. I'm just glad that I was thoroughly entertained by them, even with their flaws.

It really does not matter if youre the biggest MGK fan in the world, Mainstream Sellout is the worst "punk" album ever made, like objectively. It simply cannot compare to something like Bad Brains' self titled. Even from a pop-punk standpoint, its not even as good as Green Days newest album and that album sucked!
