Its only for 4 games then they go back on the road til december I think and then theyre next home stand everything will be ready. Ton of home games for the second half of the season.
I'm excited for them. I think it'll help them win more games this year. Something about a college atmosphere. That's hanging my hat on the kids (college students)actually going to tbe game
Any other city would potentially lose the team and be relocated but this has been a major boondoggle for the past 27 years and it’s time to say that the science experiment in the Arizona desert has been a failure and move them to a city that can support or has shown a great interest in hockey like Milwaukee, Green Bay, or Madison, Wisconsin
There’s way too much misinformation being spread about it. These are temporary rooms while their 30 million dollar annex is being completed. They will be using these rooms for only 4 home games (they go on a 14 game roady right after). If they wouldn’t have done this then the Coyotes would literally have to start the season on a 24 game road trip and that’s just not reasonable.
5,000 seats is an excessive amount of space for all 20 Coyotes fans. Also, you know your home locker room sucks when your away locker rooms are better...🤦♂️
@@lemirayoubi208 Do the people of Quebec City already support and follow the NHL without a team? Yes. They already make money from Quebec City. NHL isn't losing revenue in Arizona, they do have added cost but the potential of a new market in the Southwest is there. A lot more money to be made with a somewhat successful NHL franchise in Arizona than a Stanley Cup winning Quebec Nordiques. Also we dont have to filter through shady streams with a french broadcast to find a good one.
It’s a simple math, they can welcome only 5000 and I predict it won’t be full every night while Quebec could welcome 20 000 people per home game, you don’t need any more arguments than that
@@lemirayoubi208 Market potential is not simple math. A regularly competitive, lol, Arizona Coyotes would draw revenues from all brand new fans. Quebec still buys Nordiques stuff and support the Canadiens or a random team. They already watch games to increase ad spot costs during broadcasts. NHL already gets money from Quebec City. NHL is a multibillion dollar enterprise. It can afford to invest in growth and doesnt need to concern itself with the sales of 15,000 extra tickets(in Canadian Dollars) at the expense of future gains. That's very short sighted.
By choice of the university. The arena was designed for ASU ice hockey, wrestling, and gymnastics, not an NHL team. They didn’t need more than 5,000 seats based on those needs. To accommodate the Coyotes, they are building an annex that will hold locker rooms for both the Coyotes and visiting NHL teams; that annex will be open when the Coyotes return from their next road trip. (Ironically, ASU had approached Coyotes previous ownership about splitting costs on a 16,000 seat arena, but the deal fell through, so Arizona State went about it in their own with the more modest sized arena.)
