I run a Mossberg 590. You don't have to sacrifice a round by surfing an extra shell out of the action for one slug. The technique used for the 870 applied to the Mossberg also. The only difference is you don't have to go to half rack like on the 870 before pushing the round back into the tube. You hit the action release, and immediately thumb the round back up in the tube. Once you get a feel for it, it's perfect every time. Nothing else is different.

Great video 🤙🤙 Instead of using shell carriers such as this, a molly type rig is better IMO and by this I mean on your firearm, not a belt/carrier; that's a plus obviously. Another great habit for example. Considering this is for defense and not hunting... if you're running 5+1 rounds in the 870 for every 2-3 rounds fired you then load 2-3 rounds(2 seems to be easier) If you train like this you'll probably identify that two is easier as well. But this is a good habit/training to do. You won't run dry this way & be left with your... Yeah. This definitely applies more to a loadout or what would be known as a breacher, but definitely applies or can be to home use. EDIT- I didn't get to finish the whole video so I apologize in advance if this was covered. Great video

Thank you so much for the great video . I'm going on 50 years old and have been shooting since I was 7 . My mom's brother was a police officer and ceif of police and got to train with and his team . But you just never stop learning .

@@TheLouHam Respectfully, just Google what cruiser ready condition is. It's a thing. Kinda supercedes one video. I mean I'm pretty sure I heard him say one in the chamber was cruiser ready, and I think that's wrong.
