I bought the 2023 Costco Drone! Today I compare it with last year's version, the ASC 2500, and spoiler alert; things go terribly wrong...

Your videos on the ASC-2500 convinced me to purchase one last summer while it was on sale at Costco. I had a lot of fun with it, but when I tried using it for the first time this year the drone wouldn't connect to the controller no matter what I tried. I contacted customer support and they basically told me there was nothing they could do since the warranty period had ended, and they recommended I take it to a local shop to diagnose the problem. I figured that was going to cost more than what I paid for the drone initially, so instead I sold it for parts on marketplace and upgraded to a C-Fly Faith Mini (still waiting for it to arrive in the mail). Anyways, I credit you and those videos for getting me into the hobby in the first place so thank you!

I just got one last week and tried it today for the first time. One warning; it cannot handle wind. There was a light breeze here, and whenever I tried going in the air, the drone would just drift away downwind, even with full throttle trying to keep it above me.

@@g-force2745 if you want to have a responsive, good performance, good range, nice and smooth camera drone.. Look for Holy Stone's Hs700e, that's the only Holy stone copter that i kept along with my older Dji Phantom 4 for years now..

I did not on this drone, but check out GyroFlow. It's a digital tool that seems to work pretty good...

My friend got his son this drone from Costco in the US, but no MicroSD/TF card, what is the max memory card size. I'm planning on buying him the extra batteries and memory card.

That’s super cool of you! I just use a 32GB Kingston MicroSD card. The drone’s camera quality isn’t crazy high, so it actually lasts for quite a long time. Hope that helps!

The app is called “2000 series”. Just search that into the App Store, or Google Play Store and it should pop up.

Where do you find that eight digit number you have to enter. Nowhere on the packaging and the support video didn't help. I think I'll take it back and save myself a lot of frustration.

Its just of the name of the wifi network on your phone. Go into your settings, turn on wifi, and it will look something like this: HD DRONE xxxxxxxx

You need a controller to fly the drone, but the app can be found as "ASC-2680" in the app store.

Remote must be on and connected. Otherwise, if you go into your settings and still can’t see the wifi channel, the drone may be defective.

Make sure the battery is fully charged and properly installed, then press and hold the power button for a few seconds. Directions can all be found in the Manual.

Hi from a Boomer here in Australia. 🇦🇺. I just bought this drone today. I think i will return it unopened. Such a shame as i was hoping to be able to inspect my gutters and my neighbours gutters. Thank you. 😊

@user-rg9qg4kb9u Since I made the video, I've picked up a new one and it's been doing just fine! I would encourage you to try it out, and only return it if you have any problems, Costco has a great return policy!

Are you using an Android device? Many people are currently having the same issue.
