This gun is super cool, it's also on the F-35 as well! Excited to use it, just wish we had it on a better platform than the harrier.

IRL it had f18 radar added so it could carry aim120s, air to air loaded is a placeholder until ARHs are added in future patch

man I wanted this plane for a while. This jet has so much weaponary in it, and will be a perfect jet for a ground RB top tier

The Harriers are a great example of why I think there should be different BR‘s for Air RB and Ground RB.

I just got it and wow stock grind is a little tough but that f18 radar and the gun work wonderfully together

The high bypass turbofan engine characteristic as on the Harrier is like that because it's more efficient at exchanging power to actual thrust. Two turbofan engines, one low bypass and the other high bypass, if they're making the same power the high bypass one will have more thrust even at high speed. Though the thrust produced is falling, the aircraft speed is rising faster, so the power that is used for accelerating is still growing, just slowing down. This is somewhat similar to a "normal" piston engine, like in a car. While the RPM are higher than the maximum torque, increasing the engine speed will make torque drop, but power will increase (to a point).

I have wanted this thing for a long time, and while I'm confused as to why we're getting it before the US tech tree, I'm so happy to see it. One of my favorite jets in the world, and one of my favorite planes in all of history. It's just beautiful, functionally unique, has a really interesting history behind it, and its role in warfare is really cool to me. Even if it ends up being trash in War Thunder due to being a subsonic attacker in top-tier, I still can't wait to fly it. If I can make it work even a little bit, have some fun picking up kills here and there or getting into dogfights using thrust vectoring, it'll be worth it. It'll also be a great 11.7 CAS option to use while spading the Ariete AMV, finally having Mavericks in Italy as well as Paveways.

Damn that updated RWR seems pretty damn helpful especially for a smoothbrain like me. I havent dabbled into high tier to much because i just dont understand it enough

I love this plane, both cuz its gonna be great in grb, and because its a lot of fun in 1v1s, for which I recommend you to use flaps, takeoff flaps basically dont rip

Looks like the radar is a placeholder as of right now on the dev server, maybe a copy-paste APG-66 from the F-16A. IRL the APG-65 from the Hornet and AV-8B+ had TWS since they were equipped with AMRAAMs. So it’s definitely not quite accurate as of now.

It is perfect for ground rb. Italy now with Hungary, DM53 for Ariete, Freccia and this plane really got a nice line up. The Mavericks will be strong against pantsir and you can still bring up to 6 GBU12. Only thing that is missing, is a better helicopter maybe with spike er2 sitting on 12.0 or higher and a better anti air and Italy will step up from the worst top tier nation 2 years ago into the top 5 top tier nations

I was browsing your impressive stats and noticed this seems to be your worst plane stats wise. Is there any reason for this other than it being a meh plane for the meta? (i.e. messing around with friends doing goofy stuff)

Everyone tries to dogfight you because on the Dev server it's only tryhards now. They aren't very good at the Live server and they can't get the vehicles they want. So they join the Dev server to feel superior and special, by acting as toxic as possible to any Players they encounter. On both sides btw.

gaijin, making russia the strongest nation in game and letting every other nation suffer for months besides america, and dont get me started on britain as well (almost a year for sweden with the viggen...) and yes my opinion is purely based off of fighting pantsirs, and maining sweden :( i wanna play 11.0 viggen but not playable vs f14s and F16s..

What is this nonsense RWR. Modern RWRs should be able to tell you what radar is locking you and give you an indicator that tells you what vehicle it is

anyone knows if hes playing DEV. STABLE or just DEV client ?? because ive tried the DEV and there are issues with betty's voice in the cockpit and i want to know if there is a difference in the details of both Dev Clients.
