Lmfao I barely realized this video was from 10 days ago and I got here because I was looking for An analysis of the game series because I know I don't want to play them as they are outdated and don't look that good. I just want the story.

@@Respect2theFallen The games are pretty bad. But if you like puzzles and the SAW movie atmosphere, it does a pretty good job at doing that. But once you get into combat that's when you start to see all the downsides. I remember playing this game back in 2010 and I always thought the game mechanics always felt outdated. The 2nd game improved it a bit.

It had 2 different concepts. The first was as seen in the game and the second had the trap basically fold in on itself until it would've broken the victim's neck. Eventually these designs were scrapped as the film makers wanted a concept that involved twisting body parts around

@@braixy642 I didn’t see anything about it originally bending the neck, but I did see early concept art where it was supposed to bend until the victim’s back broke.

Some of them do appear exactly like in the movies (like the reverse bear trap), some are similar but slightly modified (like the needle bathroom trap, which is similar to saw 2… or the iron maiden trap which is similar to the Venus fly trap from saw 2)

SOMA is a terrible game (obviously to each their own) It definitely helps if you play all of Frictional game’s other titles first so you see what greatness they’re really capable of.
