This has been one of my favorite go-to movies to build my dream! And I love everything about how it was shot! From the bringing from the everyday routine to the escape towards Powder. And the lodge scene, a bunch of friends hanging out, drinking, eating gourmet food in a mountain top lodge after shredding all day...perfection!!
I'm a kiwi and the snow season is about to end after next weekend. I just got into snowboarding this year and I've realised it's what's been missing in me all my life. I've only just conquered my first off piste black trail and learnt some flatland tricks but there's SO much more I wanted to do before seasons end...and I'm already doing nothing but watching AMAZING videos of amazing people like this. I can't believe how easily I've fallen in love with the snow and riding.
The only reason i hate this video is because i will probably never have the chance to go to such an awesome location! If only money grew on trees! Snowboarding = skiing (i do both) This is a dream trip!
Cal Ramsey school gets you a job.. job makes you money.. money makes you afford the helicopter. the helicopter makes you jizz in ur pants 15 million times on the way down. so excited to fuck the shit out of some crazy powder this year.
zeekthe hammer If you want that sort of freedom, school rarely gives the individual this, you have to look outside the box and the system and look at ways to get real money. School will rarely give you this kind of freedom, now and again yes, but look outside the box and you can be doing this most of the time
I cant begin to describe the connection i felt towards this video, for years ive know i needed something other than what i am doing now. i know that this is it...thank you
After a full days skiing pow, and i return to the lodge to get served little plates like that with hardly any food on it, I'd go mental. :P I hate this nouvelle cuisine crap...
As a snowboarder i don´t like skiing that much but this here is amazing ! Can´t wait to go snowboarding again in march. The feeling you stay on the board after a long time.. this feeling is shown in this video. A feeling of freeness and happiness. Thank you for 23 minutes of vacation ! ;)
I've been playing sports my whole life. Swimming (county champion when I was younger), soccer, basketball, and finally, skiing. Skiing (just imagine im saying snowboarding too, cos too lazy to say it) is one of the most adrenaline inducing sports in the world. When I come home, I play video games 24/7. Wouldn't have it any other way :P, since im 15 and all :P
Normally I would be choked that it took 6 minutes to get to any skiing in a 20 minute video, but being a BC native and long time snowboarder(soon to be first time skier) this video almost brought a tear to my eye... wait... there it is.
It's British Columbia, Canada in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. They get tons of snow over there. Winter 2010-2011 they had like 14-16m of snow during the season! In Switzerland we hardly ever reach 7m. It's another world: Shreddin' in B.C. is what I call Heaven!
what I hate about these high value productions is that everything is so clean. I mean look at that mountains. In reality there is a lot of more dirt and stuff.
I love Fernie and go there all the time, I want o hit up island lake lodge one day when i can afford it. great video!

The begining soundtrack just drive me crazy! I realy must know the name of it! Awesome and incredible moves. To be honest this is the most coolest video I ever seen!
I've never been to Island Lake but I've been to Big Red Cats in Rossland six times over eight years. Deep powder backcountry skiing in the trees is the most fun you can have. If you like boarding or skiing just do it.
I have never skied pow at deep with trees so nicely spaced the tree I am used to are so much tighter and bumped up, living on the east coast .... if I only had money lol, I would love to ski in a place like that great post thanks
