Hmm, I think it would be nice to see a comparison of similar rollers. For example, aluminium double rollers Vs low friction plastic double rollers. Smoothness, weight etc etc.... And are the aluminium ones really worth the extra cost.
Mau tanya ne om... Knp y kebanyakan racer pakai dobel roller 12-13 di bagian depan? Apa karna kecepatan saja wkt belok? Efek roller depan pakai 19 kira2 apa y om?
19mm roller lebih stabil, 13mm roller less stable. jika om guna roller 13mm lebih pantas dari 19mm di tikungan. kalau om.guna 9-8mm roller. belakangnya guna 13mm. pastikan mobilnya betul2 stable. enak pantas cepattt kriuk2
Bang saya mau tanya soalnya sya g punya barangnya. Klo roller putih 8 mm yg bawaan kit evo ato di part frp extension itu bolongannya sama ga sama ao 830 bearing? Thanks
Roller bearing sh mau pakainya, oh iya utk roller itu wajib di pasang di tiang AO threaded shaft ya bro ? Atau apakah bisa dipakaikan di baut panjang bawaan FRP ?
Bang Rc, saya bikin STO depan belakang pake roller dragon yg aluminium, sampai hari ini mabal kalo belok, belum ketemu solusinya, mungki mau berbagi nasihat, terima kasih
if a roller has a bearing on it then you can call it a bearing roller. Most of the rollers in Mini 4WD were made from aluminum (other than the plastic rollers).
Pretty good explanations. I just have two stupid questions: 1. Why put the bigger rollers in front and not the back? 2. Why not have all the rollers be the same size?
+YOLO Swagz i usually put smaller roller at the front to speed up the cornering. Rear side rollers act as a stabilizer. It's okay if u wanna use same sized rollers. It depends on ur goal and ur style.

Hi bro wanna ask my roller so smooth before, after use it for race once and my 4wd flying, after that my roller not smooth anymore. How to fix it? Thanks
+Insan Kurnia probably the bearing was damaged or the other possibility is that the bearing house itself is damaged. Try changing the ao 520 bearing first and see how it goes.
Hmmm ic thanks for reply, more question after i loose the locknut n try to spin, the roller spin again but not smooth as before, but after i thighten the locknut, roller cant spin, but before flying use same method its still spinning
Mantap Great Channel,, been watching your videos for the last 3 weeks, i'm new to this Tamiya mini 4WD, speaking of rollers , would it be great if you share to us about the "angle" of the rollers....
Thanks! Basicly if you put more angle in the roller, your car will have more down force due to the downward angle of the roller. The advantage of having more angle is more stability, because the car tends to stay down. But more angle means more speed loss, because each time the roller make contact with the track wall, the downward angle will hold the speed of the car. So the cornering speed will be reduced. Well, this could become an advantage or disadvantage depending on the track layout actually. I personally don't like having too much angle in my roller setup, because I personally like a car that has a great cornering ability. 👍
So basically the roller set up still required an angle instead of just straight up ?... but how much ?, its depend on the track lay out ( turns and straight ... )
There's no theory about actually. Some racer in Japan can use no angle at all if there's no 3 lane - lane changer. I usually use 5 degree in MS. In my MA chassis, I only use the angle from the chassis.
+Christopher E. Previously I used Tamiya Bearing Oil. But, I guess you can use other brand too as long as it is designed for small bearings. I don't recommend an oil that is too thick, coz I'm not sure whether that kind of oil can really lubricate the inside part of a bearing. Well, that's what I'm thinking. 😁
+Christopher E. You're welcome bro. You can try this link to see the image: www.google.co.id/search?q=tamiya+bearing+oil&oq=tamiya+bearing+oil&aqs=chrome..69i57.5717j0j4&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#imgrc=huor2C857ytsIM:
I have the 7mm rollers on a VS chassis. It doesn't go faster than a 12 and 13mm + 4 19mm ring less rollers from the XX Evo 1. Can I send you a photo of the cars? Can you contact me and send me your email
7mm? Plastic? I never use 7mm roller tho. 12-13 DA roller got minimum contact surface. Just browse over my videos and you can copy the setup bro. Try to do that first and then you can tell me how's the result in this comment section. 👍
